Nymphadora Tonks: March 24th, 1973

It was a lovely spring day. Andromeda held her precious baby girl close to her chest while her husband Ted watched from a chair at her bedside, absolutely beaming with the joy of his newborn child. As they both talked in soft whispers, trying not to wake the sleeping infant, a ray of sunshine shone through the window in the wake of a moving cloud, brightening the room even more than it already had been. Andromeda looked down at her baby, who had begun to stir. For the first time, two big bright blue eyes gazed into their mother's soft warm browns. "Ted, come look!". As mother and father admired their daughter, the curly blonde mop of hair on her head suddenly turned bright blue. As both parents looked on in amazement, it changed from green to yellow to orange, finally stopping at a bright pink. "She's a metamorphmagus," Ted exhaled in astonishment. The child began to laugh in the sweet, innocent way that only babies do, her eyes flickering shades of violet. Andromeda smiled at her gleaming infant. "Nymphadora," she stated simply, naming the little girl.
