A/N:Last chapter. :( It's been great you guys! I'm proud of this story, though it's short. I love all my readers, you've been so supportive, and for that I'm thankful! Enjoy this last chapter.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Austin & Ally, nor am I associated with Austin & Ally.

I wake up.

Where am I?

I'm in a hospital bed, and I try to sit up, but quickly sink back to where I lay because the pain in my shoulder is crippling. I look to the wound on my shirtless body and find it covered in blood-soaked bandages.

I take in my surroundings... I'm on a higher level of the hospital from looks of the window view, my television is turned on to an American news channel, which makes me breathe a sigh of relief. What really makes my heart pound with excitement, though, is the sight of Ally, fast asleep in a reclining chair in the corner of the room. Happy tears well up in my eyes.

I hear the door open, and my eyes shoot to it's direction. Lester Dawson walks in, I can tell he's exhausted. There's dark bags under his eyes. He wordlessly sits down in a chair next to my bed.

"What happened?" I murmur, trying to be quiet as to not wake Ally.

He sighs and leans back. "It's over now." He states. I raise a confused eyebrow at him, and he clears his throat beginning to explain.

"I convinced Ally we needed to follow the Carters, to save you. I knew that leaving America wasn't what you wanted when you talked to me in the kitchen, I could see it in your eyes. We were on their trail, even on the same plane. You never saw us, of course, we were disguised. Ally changed her mind about you as soon as she saw you crying on the plane. We lost track of you at the airport, but made it to the house just in time. We saw Cory shoot you, and Ally lost it, screaming her head off. I tackled Cory, Ally went and tried to help you but she was afraid you were dying, so I got her to call the police. And now you're here." He gave me a weak smile.

I raise an eyebrow. "Where was Andrea?"

"Out looking for you." He said with a shrug. "They're both in custody, you're safe now, and back home."

I give him an appreciative smile, and my eyes travel back to Ally's figure. She's not sleeping anymore, though. She's looking in our direction sleepily.

Lester clears his throat awkwardly. "I'll give you two some time." He announces, rising from his seat and out the door.

Ally rises and pads slowly over to my bed. I smile at her, and she bends down and wraps her arms around my neck, a sob escaping her lips. Her grip sends a throbbing pain through my shoulder, but I ignore it.

"I t-thought you were dead for s-sure." She cries, and I rub her back comfortingly.

"I thought you hated me." I choke on air.

She pulls away and gives me a look strained with hurt. "I don't. I never could, no matter what. I didn't mean what I said, I love you so much."

I cup her chin in my hand and pull her lips to mine. She smiles into my kiss.

Ally changed me. She made me a person I never thought I could be. 17 years of my life were wasted with two adults who raised me to be a selfish, crime-centered man, and from the first time I saw her I wanted to change. For her.

The way I know now is so different than it once was. And I have her to thank for it all.

A/N: Hope you all liked it, it was a joy to write. (: I will more than likely write an epilogue just for the heck of it. Please leave a finalizing review, to let me know what you think! It would mean a lot. :) Thanks so much to all the supporters and readers, you guys are the best!
