Happy (Early) Valentine's Day! Okay, so you all know that February is the month of romance right? Well, here is someone who is not enjoying the love…Me! The last chapter had the lowest amount of reviews ever so I'm not so happy about that but I thank everyone who did review as well as everyone who recently added this to their favorites or followed. I thank you for your support and please leave a review, I'd really appreciate. Especially since I'm going to be taking the SAT next month and I could really use the comfort. Thanks!
September 14: Hypnos – 2:12 PM
"Looks like we're done here" Rob nodded. "Henry, Izzy, Yolei, Kouichi, and Thomas, thank you all for letting us borrow your digivices. Now, all of them have been updated to have all the functions of an ideal digivice."
Davis, Takuya, and even Marcus blinked simultaneously. "Meaning?"
"Were you even listening in the last hour?!" Zoey, Yolei, and Kristy shouted.
Kari turned her head over to Rika. "Judging by your outbursts during the meeting, I'm surprised you didn't shout along with them."
Rika's pupils shifted towards the brunette before shifting towards the blank look on Kazu's face. She sighed in what seemed to be pure exhaustion. "If I had the belief that my shouting could get through the skulls of idiots, then I'd be doing it too. Trust me, those three will give up soon enough…Just like I did."
"Basically what we did was take certain features from the other digivices and added them to the ones that didn't have such functions" Shibumi explained. "For example, the Data Links are able to keep your Digimon inside the device and the D-Tectors are able to act as communication devices. Now it will be easier to contact each other in the Digital World since we learned that some electronics don't work as well as hide your partners in the Human World."
"That's amazing!" Davis chimed. "So then DemiVeemon can even come to school with me right? Awesome!"
Izzy took notice of the notes on the computer screens. "What's this information about the Data Links and Data Burst digivices? It says something about changing data into physical matter, what does that mean exactly?"
"I can answer that one" Thomas stated. "You see, our digivices were manufactured by humans, we've been battling Digimon for about ten to twenty years now, at least our chief, Samson has. As you might know, Digimon are unable to maintain form in the physical world for too long so our digivices make it so that data is changed into physical matter. That's why Digimon such as Gaomon and Lalamon were able to live here for more than ten years whereas according to the Digimon show, your partners had to go back to the Digital World or else their data would've been destroyed."
"I see, is that an added function to our digivices as well?" Sora asked.
Shibumi shook his head but he made sure to keep them from worry. "It would appear that your digivices somehow adapted and gained that function on its own, similarly, it would seem that the D-3s always had such capabilities."
"Don't the D-Powers have a similar function?" Kenta asked. "I mean, our partners have been around for five years and nothing's happened to any of them so far. Well, unless you count that one incident where Guilmon was almost destroyed by some unknown bio-emergence."
"Not exactly, it's the opposite really" Janyu stated. "My guess is that Zhuqiaomon himself altered the digital information of his world so Digimon travelling to and fro from his world could easily become physical or data depending on the world. But the D-Powers do have the ability to change physical matter into data or vice versa."
Jeri blinked and pulled out one of her modify cards. "You mean with our modify cards, right? Their physical pieces but their information goes through our digivices and then transfers that digital information onto our partners."
"And I suppose bio-merging can count as changing our physical forms into data" Ryo added.
"That is correct."
Rob stood up from where he was sitting. "Alice, I thought I told you not to get concerned with this!"
Takato and Rika both stared at Alice as if they were looking at a ghost while the blonde's classmates, Ken, Kouichi, and Kristy were just surprised to see her. Henry was the only one to speak afterwards. "Mr. McCoy, I'm sure you know as much as the rest of us that once you get involved, you are always involved. And I don't think someone in Alice's position can really forget or move on from what she experienced."
"He's right father" Alice said. "What happened five years ago and even eight years ago…It will always plague my heart. Besides, I wanted to see the Tamers again…Takato, Rika, it's been five years hasn't it?"
"Yeah, I didn't actually think we'd be able to see each other again" Takato said.
Rika nodded in agreement. "We wanted to thank you for what you did for us five years ago, if it wasn't for you then…"
"There's no need for thanks" Alice replied. "It was Dobermon who deserved such words not me. All I did was lead him to you guys because he didn't know how you guys looked like. I'm glad that all of you were able to see your partners again after the D-Reaper incident at least."
The word 'guilt' seemed to have dropped itself on top of Takato's and Rika's head but not before either of them were able to process what she had just told them. "If you were supposed to lead Dobermon to us then you would've known how we looked like or at least where we were" Rika said. "But prior to that incident, we never saw you before in our lives."
Alice glanced over at Henry and the other two Tamers seem to follow her gaze. "Why don't you ask Henry over here? He's known me for practically his whole life."
"Wait, Henry, why didn't you tell us that?" Takato asked. "And here I thought I knew everything about you."
"You thought that?" Rika said. "I tell him everything and I thought that he always returned the favor but clearly, he hides things better than I do. Which is impressive…But somehow I feel a little insulted."
Ryo's jaw dropped for a moment when he heard what Rika said. "What do you mean you tell him everything? Are you saying you like him more than me?" He turned to Henry before she was even allowed to answer. "I bet you didn't know she had a sister."
"She has a sister?!" Kazu and Kenta shouted.
Henry and Jeri blinked. "I thought we all knew that…"
"That's beside the point right" Henry sighed. "Anyway…The reason why I never told you guys that I knew Alice was for two reasons. The first, we were fighting the D-Reaper, we had more important things to tend to before introductions to an old friend. Second…At the time…I didn't believe that she was really Alice because I to me, Alice McCoy died three years before that. So when she stood there in front of me with Dobermon…I couldn't believe it."
"What the heck are you talking about?" Davis asked. "She's standing right here right now, so what do you mean she died? That doesn't even make any sense!"
Alice shook her head. "The truth is, eight years ago, my mother and I got into a car crash. My mother died right away and I was taken to the emergency room right away. The doctors said I wouldn't survive…And I didn't. I died two hours after my father arrived. From there, I wandered in eternal darkness, calling out for my mother and father, wondering where in the world I was. I found my answer when I was greeted by the four Sovereigns of the Digital World. It might be because of my connection with the Monster Makers that I was destined for this job. But they told me about a prophecy…One where a being would devour Earth and the Digital World unless I was to help stop it. I was sent to the depths of the Underworld where I met Cerberumon, the gatekeeper, my duty was to befriend him and take him to the Tamers when the time was right."
"Cerberumon?" Takuya wondered aloud. "That was the first Digimon we fought against when our team went to the Digital World."
"He's also one of the next forms in Dobermon's evolutionary line" Izzy said. "But why did you need to befriend Cerberumon of all Digimon? Is there something special about being the gatekeeper to the Underworld?"
Alice nodded. "Dobermon, being the gatekeeper had the ability to open the gates to the Underworld. He controlled everything that went in and went out. I believe the new gatekeeper is currently making sure beings such as Devimon, Myotismon, and Yggdrasil never escape. Anyhow, Dobermon's ability allowed him to summon forth the legendary beings that had once terrorized the world and change them into a new energy. Those souls became an enveloping data net for the Tamers to bio-merge with their partners. No other Digimon could control souls like he did."
"Why do you say that as if it's a lost love?" Mimi asked. "It's kind of creepy…"
"Don't say that!" Takato shushed. "We don't really know that well but I'm pretty sure that Dobermon was like her partner in many ways."
"Oh, sorry…Is it that sensitive?"
"I wouldn't know but I would think so."
"Oi." They both flinched when they realized that the blonde teenager had suddenly appeared next to them. "I could still hear you. I may have been dead once before but that does not mean I am some sort of ghost you can simply ignore."
"I can't believe it though" Thomas said. "To think that a human could be reborn just like a Digimon could. But even if it is some sort of miracle, I don't think that it's right for one to mess with the cycle of life, even if it is once. But I guess that's just the doctor in me talking."
"I agree with you though" Joe added. "But I think the bigger question is, are there more like you Alice?"
"…No" Alice said. "As far as I know at least, the Sovereigns told me that they are unable to tamper with the lifecycle without disrupting the balance between worlds in the multiverse. Doing it a little is fine but they are not allowed to do it any more than that unless they want the worlds to fall into chaos. The only thing is, the person is reborn at the same age as they died. I'm supposed to be eighteen but because I came back three years after my death, I am now fifteen."
"Yeah, I can imagine how awkward that must be" Tai stated.
"It was weird seeing that you were the same age as me" Henry chuckled. "Before that, I always knew you to be older than me."
"Yeah, I know what you mean" Alice replied. "To think that the little kid I used to tease would become taller than me so fast."
"But wait…How does your connection to the Monster Makers shape your destiny that way?" Sora asked. "The Digital World always existed, we established that during the meeting so it's not like they made it or anything. So how does that connection mean anything special?"
"After the very first digidestined saved the Digital World, the gates between the worlds were sealed off, presumably forever" Rob explained in his daughter's place. "We didn't just discover the Digital World, we opened the gates although we had to close them right away afterwards."
"I opened the first gate though" Shibumi admitted. "That first gate where an egg went through in Hikarigaoka (Highton View Terrace)."
The original digidestined where stunned as they let these words process. "You mean…That Agumon that Kari and I met all those years ago…You opened that portal?" Tai asked. "But why did it show up in our neighborhood? Why through our computer?"
Shibumi shrugged. "Even I don't know that answer. Perhaps your titles are not as misleading as you may think, perhaps it really was destiny. It was all of your destinies to see that fight between Greymon and Parrotmon eleven years ago."
"But wait…" Matt started. "Parrotmon came through a second other portal, how did that happen?"
Shibumi slowly backed away a bit and appeared embarrassed all of a sudden. "I had opened the portal years after the government shut down our project because I wanted to see a Digimon in the Human World. Since I had opened the portal once and thought nothing happened, I tried again. That's how Parrotmon showed up…I was living in the same neighborhood so I saw the giant bird…I opened a third portal and sent them both back. But not before they did a ton of damage around the area…I was forced to move out and back to Shinjuku."
Megumi and Miki were righting something on a whiteboard. "Okay, so then our timeline starts with the very first digidestined from decades ago. And then twenty-seven years ago, the gates were reopened thanks to the research of the Monster Makers" Megumi said. "Seven years later, Kudamon and Kamemon arrive as Digi-Eggs to become partners of our very own, Samson and Yushima respectively."
Miki continued on from there. "Keenan vanishes into the Digital World because of a freak accident five years later. From there, another four years pass and another gate opens in Hikarigaoka, allowing the birth of the original digidestined. Four years after that, Tai and his friends go to a Summer camp where they are transported for their first adventure in the Digital World. At the same time, in Austria, Thomas just graduated from medical school and moved to Japan to join the Japanese DATs."
"What the hell does that last sentence have to do with our timeline?" Marcus shouted.
"Moving on" Yoshino said. She stared at the whiteboard. "It seems that right after the first Digimon adventure, a little less than a year passes and Diaboromon is unleashed on the Internet. But after that, about two years pass and things start going crazy with us and the Tamers. It is at that point, in the spring, Agumon meets Marcus and they become partners while Guilmon is born becomes the partner of Takato."
TK nodded. "And since our partners were in the Digital World, there was no way for us to get involved in any way. If I remember correctly, we were stuck inside as we watched this giant pig thing destroy Shinjuku."
"Yeah, and I remember a huge horse wrecking a neighborhood there as well" Sora nodded.
"No kidding" JP said. "I remember watching the news and hearing about that red blob known as the D-Reaper now. It was everywhere, not just Japan; it was swallowing up everything in its vicinity in some parts of the world."
"That's right" Takuya nodded. "Come to think of it, I remember hearing about these armored creatures rampaging through the streets of Hokkaido. And then a huge portal opened up that sucked in all those creatures, which now that I think about it, were probably Digimon, into it."
"And then there was that white thing that appeared too" Kouji nodded. "It just started wrecking things after another world appeared above ours, ready to crash into ours."
The Legendary Warriors and the original digidestined seemed completely disappointed in themselves. "How can we forget?"
"It couldn't be helped. The government erased all of those incidents from your memories" Yamaki told them.
"How did they do that?" Zoey asked.
"Through social media and televisions" Samson and Yamaki answered.
"Moving on from that" Yolei said. "It seemed that the Data Squad ended their adventures a little earlier than the Tamers. The Tamers just went into the Digital World to save Calumon and while in there, things settled down for the Data Squad and Marcus went with Agumon to their Digital World to live there. I guess that makes sense since he's had the least time with his partner out of everyone here at this point in time."
Suzie nodded and even though she was pretty much the youngest person here, she took charge next. "We came back after saving Calumon and took down the D-Reaper in December. Three months later, our partners come back after being thrown into the Digital World." She seemed to give a glancing accusing look towards her father. "That's the strange thing too, on the same day our partners returned, so began the second semester of school and that's when TK moved to his new school with Kari and Davis."
"That is a strange coincidence" Cody agreed. "To think that the same day Takato discovers a gate to the Digital World is the same day the gate to our Digital World opens up and Tai goes in to save Agumon. After that, Davis follows suit and meets Veemon, thus starting our journey through the Digital World."
"Two to three months after that, we face up against the Parasimon invasion" Rika continued. "And then you guys take down the Digimon Emperor two months after that. Five months pass and thus comes the end of the Digimon adventures for the second generation of digidestined."
"Everything is peaceful until seven months pass and it back to being Summer" Kouji muttered. "That's when Ophanimon sends that message to all the children in the Shibuya district. Most likely, she had heard that it was Earth's children who took care of the problems of other Digital Worlds and thus asked for our assistance."
Kouichi stared at the whiteboard, he flashbacked for a moment back to that day, that day when everything around him had turned black. "After everything we went through…We made it back…All of us. And now, three years later, all of these adventures tie back to this date. A grand meeting of this many digidestined…"
"With all of these events lined up like this, I don't believe that it was some mere coincidence that you all met at this point in time" Yamaki said. "There has to be a reason and as the Monster Makers have theorized, it may be because there is a new Digimon enemy we have to worry about. One that is so strong that it will take the might of all the digidestined to take them down. Furthermore, to prove this theory, we have contacted different digidestined around the world and it would seem that they all met with returned partners and new digidestined."
The Tamers blinked but Takato was the first to react. "You guys knew other digidestined?"
"We were supposed to keep that a secret because they were family members of ours" Daisy smiled. "My daughter in Russia, she's one of the first generation of digidestined, actually Sora and Yolei, you two met her and her friends during the Digimon World Tour."
The two teenage girls stared hard at the Monster Maker's face before seeing the clear resemblance. "Ah, now we see! You're Anna's mother?!"
Rai stepped forward but mainly towards Izzy and Kari. "And you met my daughter and her partner, Meramon. You helped escort her to Hong Kong safely, I give both of you my thanks even if it four years late."
"Phenomenal!" Izzy exclaimed. "Don't tell me all the Monster Maker's children are members of the digidestined."
"You've got that right" Babel smiled. "My son is named Phil and his partner is Flarerizamon, he's the one who was asking for help at Rockefeller Center. This means I have to thank both Davis and Mimi for helping out my kid."
Mimi blushed and waved it off with a smile. "Aw, there's no need for that, just doing our duty you know."
Davis blanked out. "Who?"
"You have the worst memory!" Mimi shouted at him. "You can't even remember the names of your own friends."
"Huh? When did I forget your name Mimi?"
"To continue on with the meeting of other digidestined, I've contacted other DATs around the world and it would appear that all of their partners returned on the same day Marcus did" Samson told them. "Not only that, but it appears they have all met Tamers and original digidestined form all over."
Marcus blinked. "Eh, there are other DATs around the world?"
"Of course you idiot" Thomas huffed. "I was part of Austria's DATs before moving here. Not only that, but did you honestly think that Japan was the only country dealing with Digimon realizations?"
"Shut up? I don't want to hear that from someone like you!"
Samson stood up from where he was sitting. "Well, if this meeting was to just establish that there was a new enemy and straighten things out then I suppose we are done here. Since the gates in Hokkaido are all closed, we'll relocate DATs to Tokyo and I suggest we all move here. And don't worry about payment, Thomas agreed to pay for us."
This time, Thomas blinked. "Eh, when did I agree to that?"
"It's not like you to deny our chief's orders" Yushima grinned.
"Don't worry" Yoshino said as she took out a calculator and began tapping. "It'll only cost like…This much yen." She showed the screen to Thomas who seemed to melt a little bit.
"I hate you all…"
September 23: Yagami High – 3:33 PM
Kurosaki was dumbfounded to say in the least. "It seems I was incorrect on the information I gave the young master a couple of days ago. It would appear that multiple experiments have landed themselves into this school."
"What did you just say? I don't know how to work these phone things…"
The dark-haired teacher softly slapped his forehead but kept himself calm. "I told the master not to let Digimon handle human technology. It doesn't matter; just tell him that I need to talk to him right away."
"…You have the phone upside down, don't you?"
"Ugh…I'm dealing with idiots…"
September 21: Shibuya Train Station – 10:15 AM
"Good, we lost him in the crowd" Zoey muttered.
"Yeah, I can sense him" Kouichi nodded. "He's exactly thirty-seven people away in the southwest direction."
"Stop that, it's kind of creepy" JP said.
"The elevator's here" Tommy told them when the doors next to them opened. The four of them got in and they pressed the one button no one else could see. The elevator took them down several floors and stopped when it got to the very bottom.
"What took you guys so long?" Takuya asked them.
Kouji looked back at them from where he was sitting cross-legged on the floor. "If I had to make a guess, it'd be that you guys were followed by Tommy's brother" he said. "I wonder if he'll try to take this elevator down as well."
Zoey shrugged and sat down next to him. "He might, although I'm surprised we were able to use the elevator to get down here ourselves. After all…We haven't been here in three whole years."
It was as if there was a whole other level of trains but just the railroads, no trains where in the station whatsoever. It seemed rather empty really. This was the very place where they had met, at least, five of the six had met.
"It's been a long while, that's for sure" Takuya saighed.
JP scratched the back of his head before approaching their leader. "So what's the plan? Why did you call all of us here in the first place?"
Takuya glanced up at the oldest member of their group before sitting down next to Kouji. "I think it's time we finally tame our Beast Spirits once and for all." The others were completely confused by this answer except for Kouji. "Yesterday, I had felt the presence of a Digimon and went after it, it was at the Ultimate level and I didn't stand a chance. If Keenan and Kristy hadn't come in with their partners, I would've been done for."
"We can't go into our Fusion forms either without our Beast Spirits cooperating anyways" Kouji added. "If we end up in a fight against a Mega level Digimon, the only one with even a ghost of a chance of winning would be Kouichi."
"You guys are right about that" JP agreed. "We'd become a burden to the digidestined especially if there is a new enemy we have to worry about. If we're not fully prepared then we'll only put the rest of them in danger."
It seemed that they were all in agreement on this but there was still one question remaining. "But how exactly do we 'tame' our beast spirits?" Zoey asked. "The only way I can think of is if we transformed into them and tried to control them but obviously, that would just cause damage to the public and we don't want that."
"We also established that the existence of Digimon should be kept a secret so it's not like we can just Spirit evolve out in public in the first place" Tommy added.
Kouji glanced around in the Trailmon station. "And no matter how you see it, this place is still connected to the Human World above, not to mention there are no Trailmon to take us to the Digital World."
"And there's no one to train us or anything" JP huffed. "So what do we do exactly?"
They all looked to Takuya, knowing that he must have some idea of how to control their Beast Spirits, after all, he suggested this. Then again, knowing their leader, he might've just been doing some wishful thinking.
"We're not going to 'tame' them" Takuya told them. "We're going to befriend them. And we're going to achieve this by talking to them?" This was met by confused expressions but they started clearing up when they realized what he meant. "We've communicated with our Human Spirits, we can probably speak to our Beast Spirits as well."
They all glanced at each other before smiling. "Then what are we waiting for?"
September 21: Spirit World Level 1 – 10:23 AM
Takuya and Zoey laid on their backs breathing heavily as they coughed up water. They didn't even care about the incredibly hard ground; they just wanted to know what had just happened. They had landed in the middle of a large lake and then they had to swim all the way to shore, when they got to shore, they were blown away by strong gusts of wind and landed back into the water. They swam in the opposite direction and found themselves in rather mountainous terrain.
"Are you two all right?" asked a familiar voice.
Zoey looked up and cheered up immediately upon seeing the large fairy above them. "Kazemon, thank goodness you're here. Maybe you can tell us what in the world is going on here. We've never had to speak to you guys here before."
"That's because we're your Human Spirits, we live in houses but your Beast Spirits live in their natural elements" Kazemon explained. "Here is the level of the primary elements, wind, fire, earth, and water. We're on the bottom level, there are a total of four levels within this Spirit World. The primary level, secondary level, gateway level, and city level, we human spirits live on the city level but we came down personally to help you guys with this task."
"So then that means we have to go the areas with our elements, right?" Takuya asked her.
Kazemon nodded. "Agunimon should be here soon to lead you to the Fire Area, for now I'll just fly Zoey to the Wind Area. But be careful, the gales are so strong that you will be easily blown away, or at least all your clothes are torn away."
Zoey's entire body became completely red and blood gushed out Takuya's nose. The blonde immediately punched the top of her companion's head. "I don't even want to know what image made you do that!" she screeched.
"On the bright side, you'll be dry in no time!" Kazemon told her with a thumbs-up.
"You're not helping!"
September 21: Spirit World Level 2 – 10:26 AM
JP looked below him to see that they were over a dense forest, he held on to Beetlemon who was flying him towards a land shrouded in thunderclouds, with lightning raining down upon the land. "Why can't MetalKabuterimon be somewhere a little safer?" he muttered.
Beetlemon chuckled. "Unfortunately, MetalKabuterimon never got the memo that things could be easier in other areas. Besides, he likes the perpetual lightning showers, it's what keeps him charged up and ready to blow up those mountains."
"Blow up mountain?! Why is he doing that?!"
Beetlemon shrugged, not so sure himself. "It could be that you actually gained some of his respect and he's training himself for the day you need him again. He's more of a machine than a beast; he has this need to be needed."
"I guess so…It's certainly an interesting thought. I mean, my Beast Spirit must've been lonely since it needs a function as a machine…Geez, what did I put the guy through?"
"Hey, hey, are you crying? My armor's going to rust!"
Tommy almost lost his balance and had to grab on to the now smaller polar bear in front of him. "Were you always this short?"
"You just grew up" Kumamon grinned. "I don't mind really, since Kazemon thinks I look cute this way."
"Ah, so you take her attention away from the other Warriors, is that right?" Tommy asked.
Tommy stopped for a moment and tried to balance himself on the ice by hanging on to his spirit partner. "Hey, in the Plant Area and Steel Area, those other Beast Spirits aren't there are they?"
Kumamon shook his head. "It seems that after you guys went back to the Human World, the spirits of water, earth, steel, and plant were all taken back by the Celestial Guardians. They figured that we should be left alone since we were no longer theirs to protect, rather, we were waiting for the day we could see you guys again. Well to be more accurate, to be with you guys again."
"…I see…Well I hope we'll be able to befriend Korikkakumon without too much trouble. And it's a good thing I can handle the cold but there is no way I'll be able to stay balanced on this ice!"
"Don't worry, just hang on to me, we're almost there."
September 21: Spirit World Level 3 – 10:30 AM
The group of four stopped in front of the boundary line that separated darkness from light. On the side they were on, it seemed to be just an empty white canvas, on the other, black, like it was completely stripped of color.
"I'm not sure if I'm ready to go there" Kouichi sighed.
"Don't worry; I'll be by your side throughout the entire way" Lowemon promised his partner.
"And we'll be waiting on this side" Kouji added. "Don't worry, I know you'll be able to conquer JagerLowemon."
Lobomon nodded in agreement and stepped forward. "And it's not like a blanket of black fog or anything. It's much like this side over here, just a canvas. Only on that side, it's black. You'll be just fine."
"I know" Kouichi said. "But…I think I just need to calm myself before going."
"Actually, there's a question that's been on the back of my mind ever since you guys told us about this world." Kouji turned over to both of the Digimon. "When we came here, you said 'this Spirit World'. Why did you say that? Are you saying that there are more than one Spirit Worlds?"
Lobomon nodded. "There are hundreds of different worlds, some are close, and some are far. Every physical world had a spirit world counterpart, that's why you were all able to visit and communicate with us from time to time."
"Multiple universes" Kouichi breathed. "So then, there are other Digital Worlds and even more Human Worlds out there? I mean, if that's true then there could be an endless amount of digidestined in the entire multi-verse."
"You're right about that" Lowemon said. "There happens to be other versions of your universe. Basicaly little alterations within the timeline, for example, in one universe, Takuya and Zoey are married but in another universe, Kouji and Zoey are."
Kouji ended up blushing. "That's an unnecessary example."
"There are five universes in particular that have interacted with each other" Lobomon mused. "In four of those five, each of the digidestined teams existed separately but they were all called together on the fifth universe to take down a specific enemy. The digidestined leaders of those worlds, Tai Kamiya, Davis Motomiya, Takato Matsuki, Marcus Damon, and our very own Takuya Kanbara helped their world in their fight against a powerful opponent."
The twins were no less than surprised to hear this. "But how can that be?" Kouji asked. "I don't remember ever being called to another universe other than the Digital World that is."
"To put it simply, it was a Legendary Warrior team of another universe" Lowemon explained. "In that universe, they're the only digidestined team in that world. Same goes for those other digidestined teams; they were the only ones in their respective worlds."
Kouichi contemplated this for a moment. "So then, the digidestined team that needed all that help…They were unable to take care of their enemy by themselves?"
Lobomon shook his head. "No…But by working together, they were able to achieve the peace they had been missing. Hopefully, by having the Beast Spirits with us, we'll be able to unify and take care of whoever this new enemy is."
"Not just the Beast Spirits but all five of the digidestined teams" Kouji said. "That means we have to pick up the slack and become even stronger than we were when we fought against Cherubimon. You hear that Kouichi?"
Kouichi didn't say anything at first but after a few seconds he gave his brother a firm nod. "Right, and that's why we need JagerLowemon to help us out." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Okay, I think I'm ready to go so…Let's do this."
"We'll see you when you get back" Kouji nodded.
"Right" Kouichi said. "Good luck."
As soon as Kouichi stepped across the boundary line with Lowemon, the entire scenery around them changed. The light side became the woods, with a full moon shining down on them from above and a cave nearby. Kouji could see gleaming eyes watching him and Lobomon. The dark side became grassland; it was like an African savannah. Similar to the opposite side, it was night but the moon wasn't on this side. There was a cave ahead and likewise, gleaming eyes watching Kouichi and Lowemon.
"Looks like its time" Kouichi muttered.
