It was a cold winter's night, the coldest it's been in a while, Aria sat in her room, silently and still. She could feel tears running down her face but she could not bring herself to wipe them away. She just sat there, alone and in the dark, listening to the rain on the roof.

"Knock, knock." She turned her head to the window, as she started walking towards it, she could see a shadow, as she got closer, it became clearer, it was a person, it was Ezra. She opened her window. "You're here," she said surprisingly. "I said I would be, didn't I?" Ezra replied with that charming look on his face. "You've been crying, what's going on? Why are you acting so strange?" He asked. "Ezra, I have to tell you something, but I'm so scared of what will happen to us when I do, I don't want to lose you." Ezra smiled, "You won't lose me Aria, I promise you. You can trust me, just tell me." "I'm pregnant." She said bluntly.

Ezra was frozen, he had no expression or emotion, he just stood there, blank. "Ezra, please say something." "You can't be." He replied. In shock, Ezra turned around and climbed out of the window, leaving Aria standing in her cold, dark room.

The next day, Aria turned up at school in the worst mood. She sat down next to Spencer, who was studying in the library. "Hey Aria, how are you?" Spencer asked. Aria didn't reply, she was in a world of her own. "Aria? Hey!" "What?" she finally replied. "What's going on? You're not yourself this morning." "I'm in a lot of trouble Spence." Aria explained to Spencer what was going on. They both sat there in silence.

After school, Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily all met up at Spencer's house to talk about Aria's problem. Spencer's parents were out of town and Melissa wasn't home so there was no risk of someone over hearing their conversation.

"What are you going to do, Aria?" Emily asked. "Are you going to keep the baby or give it up for adoption?" Hanna asked. Spencer butted in, "Guys, don't overwhelm her." But Hanna just kept going, "You know, if anyone finds out that Mr Fitz is the father of your baby then you guys are in so much trouble." But Aria already knew that, that's what made the situation 100 times worse.

"I'm going to go to home and rest for a while, I need to think." Aria said as she hugged the girls goodbye.

As Aria walked into her bedroom, she noticed that her window was open, she turned and saw that Ezra was sitting on her bed.

"Ezra, hi. How are you?" "Uh, I'm good, I guess." He replied uncertainly. They both stood there for a few seconds, just staring at each other. "I'm sorry I didn't call you." He said. "Where were you? Are you alright?" Aria asked. "I've been at home, thinking. I'm okay; I'm just scared for us." "I'm sorry, I'm scared too." "Aria, what are you planning to do about this baby?"

"I'm going to keep it, I can't give it up. I don't know how I'm going to deal with it or how I'm going to tell my parents that you're the father but I can't get rid of this baby, I'm sorry."

Ezra grabbed Aria's hands, stared into her eyes and said, "We are in this together, everything will be okay."

All of a sudden, Aria felt safe and calm, she knew that Ezra would look after her and the baby.

They layed together, snuggled and warm until Aria's parents got home and Ezra had to sneak out the window. Everything was okay for Aria and Ezra, for now.
