DISCLAIMER: I do not own PJO

"You know how to hotwire a car?" I exclaimed trying to think straight.

Before she could answer, the passenger side door opened and the man came in. He pointed his gun at Annabeth as breathed heavily, "Drive."

I sat there frozen unable to move as the man held the gun at Annabeth. My mind was screaming to do something but I had no idea what to do without putting Annabeth in danger.

Annabeth on the other hand, had a different plan. Instead of cowering and following orders, she sat up straighter, "No."

I stared at her my mouth open, the robber carrying the same expression. "Do you not see the gun in my hand? I suggest you listen. Fast." He growled all the friendliness gone now.

"What you're doing is illegal and I will not obey. And you won't shoot me, I can tell you're not a bad guy just inn a bad situation." Annabeth spoke calmly like she was his therapist.

The robber's hand trembled a bit but he didn't falter. "Annabeth. Please." I pleaded. She looked toward me, "Drive," I begged.

She looked as if she was about to argue. I stared at her not bearing the thought of what this guy might do to her. After a moment, she turned back to the front, took the keys from the man and started the car. Before I had a chance to breathe, Annabeth stepped on the gas and I slammed into the back.

"Good thing you listened to your boyfriend." The man said feeling relieved that he didn't have to do anything violent. He definitely didn't know what he was doing, but I was still not going to take any chances.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked trying to reason with him as Annabeth drove. Before he could respond, we heard multiple sirens coming from behind us. I looked back to see several vehicles gaining on us.

"Drive faster!" The man emphasized his gun that was still pointed at Annabeth.

"I'll go over the speed limit-"

"Drive!" he seethed.

Annabeth didn't argue this time as we doubled our speed. Her hands were trembling on the steering wheel. The man glanced back at the police cars that were still trailing us now only inches behind us. One of them told us to pull over through the speaker. We went faster. This was a lost cause and it seemed as the man knew it too as he grew antsier ordering Annabeth to go faster. It's only a matter of time before we reach the max this car could go. I had to do something fast before he lost it.

"This is your last chance." An officer warned us.

I looked at the rear view mirror at that same moment Annabeth did. I could see the fear in her eyes that was overtaking her calm front. She nodded as a signal and I knew we were on the same page.

"Hey mister! There's two cops coming from the front!" I yelled pointing out. This got his attention as he looked where I was pointing. The gun in his hand moved down and away from Annabeth's face.

Not wasting any time, I slammed into his arm, making sure my hand hit the gun out of his hand. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as the gun rang out and a bullet hit the front window. The gun flew out of his hand as the guy shouted in surprise. Regaining my balance, I got ready to hit the man when another bullet from the back rang out and our car swerved to the left making me topple onto the man. Before I could do anything, he elbowed me in the face rocking me back. Somehow, I got my foot up and I kicked him in the nose with all my strength. I tried to gain my balance as Annabeth tried keep the car in control with a flat tire. The man screamed as he came at me and landed another punch throwing me back in the back seat. I was seeing him two of him as I tried to stay conscious. I could feel blood flowing down the side of my face and from my mouth. The man's nose was smashed and he looked angry. He was ready to launch another punch when a shout came from Annabeth as she landed a punch at the side of his face. It was only then I noticed that she had stopped the car. She hit him again which fazed him but didn't finish him. Seeing her struggle with him gave me enough reason to get back up. Filled with anger, I tackled him into the door breaking it and making us both topple out of the car. We both landed on ground. I tried to get up but he was faster. Before he could get up, Annabeth was there and she nailed a kicked in his growing. He fell back to the ground with a groan.

I got up; grinning through the pain, "stay down biatch!" I could hear the cops shouting and their footsteps as they ran toward us, but I didn't care. I pulled Annabeth closer and hugged her. She didn't resist as she put her head on my shoulder.

"I'm glad you're okay wise girl," I told her, not letting go. I could have stayed their forever when someone suddenly pulled us apart. "Hey!" I shouted.

"You are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent" the officer continued to read our rights as he put cuffs on all three of us.

"Why are you arresting us?" Annabeth exclaimed.

"For aiding a felon." The man said leading us to his car as the others took care of the cars and the robber.

"Are you serious? We just did your freaking job for you!" I shouted as he pushed us into the car, not giving us as answer.

"Of all the places in the world, we end up here."

"At least we're together." I laughed uneasily."

Annabeth glared at me, "Not helping."

I walked away and took a seat on the bench on the other side of the man who we were sharing a jail cell with. He was staring at me with an expression that scared me. He was a big man with a tattoo on his left bicep. His head was shiny enough that I would be able to see my own reflection and his mustache was where most of his facial hair went.

I smiled uneasily, "Hi."

"You remind me of someone." He grunted not breaking eye contact with me.

"That's weird because I was just thinking how I just met a new friend." I chuckled hesitantly.

"I know you from some where. I'm sure of it." He persisted in his deep voice, "what's your name kid."

"Thorian Delegrant" I gulped saying the first name that popped into my head.

"I know. You're that celebrity! Percy Jackson." He said.

"Who? Never heard of him." I told him glancing at Annabeth who just shrugged at me from where she was standing by the entrance looking as clueless as me.

"No. It's you I'm sure of it." The man stood up. "My girlfriend broke up with me because of you." He accused cracking his knuckles.

"How?" I asked pressing closer into the wall, as he got closer.

"She said you were the love of her life!" he spat, towering over me.

"I'm sorry?" I stuttered trying hard not to pee my own pants.

"Not as much as you're going to be. I'm going to make you pay." He gave me a twisted smile.
