"To my dearest Scorpius~

You will not be coming home for Christmas, as usual. Instead, I shall pick you up and we will be spending the Holidays in France. Now, doesn't that sound nice? We might even look at a few schools, and flats. It's been so long since you've written to me, love. How have you been? What friends have you made?

Much love~

Mother"

So, it had finally happened. Mother and Father were getting a divorce. Scorpius knew he should be feeling terrible, but he felt was relieved...that it is until he realized his mother's implications. France? As in, the country France? As in, far, far away from Britain, France? The same Britain that included his father and Albus? No.

No, no, no, no. No fucking way. Fate, wasn't that cruel to him. It woudn't just give him a hot boyfriend, and his father's freedom, and then take it all away.

Right?

"What're you up to?"

Wrong.

"Nothing, love.", Scorpius quickly said, writing a quick 'I'll write to you, tonight', and giving the owl a treat.

When there was no reply, Scorpius looked up and was surprised to see a gaping Albus.

"Er...is there something on my-"

"You just called me 'love'".

Shit. Scorpius gave him a smile, and nervously laughed.

"Sorry, I didn't mean..." Albus' face began to fall.

"I mean, I meant it!", Scorpius quickly amended, and was both surprised and relieved to see his boyfriend beam at him.

"Good. Because I, well...I 'sorta 'kinda might, er.."

Scorpius watched, amused, as Albus' face colored red, while he scratched the back of his neck, embarrassed.

"It's just...I mean, I really-"

"I know, Al.", Scorpius smiled gently, "I love you, too."

"Oh, gross." Reign mimicked puking. "You're going to make me up-chuck my breakfast. Sit down and eat, already."

Albus grinned, before sliding in the seat between his ex and his boyfriend. "I love you too, Ray. No need to be jealous."

"On the contrary.", Scorpius snapped. "You have every right to be jealous, Zabini, considering he loves me more."

Reign snickered, as Albus poked at Scorpius, who was currently ignoring him in favor of his pancakes.

"Aww, I didn't mean it, Scorp. I mean, I did. But, I meant like sibling love. Honestly. You don't have to be so jealous."

"Hello, Ryan", Scorpius cooed, bating his long eyelashes, as the boy sat in front of him.

Reign's snicker, transformed into out right laughter, at Albus' mortified look.

"That's not fair!", the green-eyed boy whined. "That's playing dirty, Scorp! I didn't even do anything!"

"Honestly.", Scorpius smirked, selecting a piece of toast. "You don't have to be so jealous."

"But! I-that's not-you can't just-I'm not jealous!"

Ryan shot him a disbelieving look, before turning back to Scorpius.

"I just wanted to apologize for my actions. I'm sorry. Many of the things that I did were...uncalled for. But, you know why I did it. I love you. I love you, Scorpius Malfoy, I love you. But...but, I know you love Potter, and if he's the one that makes you happy, I won't do anything to stop it."

His cheeks tinged a light pink, as he shook his head to get back on topic. "Anyway, I'm sorry. So.. "

He offered the blond his hand. "Friends?"

"Of course.", Scorpius decides, grasping onto the hand. He smiles. "And, if it's any consolation, I fell in love with you, too. As a friend, of course. But none the less, I love you back. Okay?"

Ryan smiles. Not a Slytherin smirk, but a genuine, happy smile. "Okay."

Albus looked miserably between the two boys, still holding hands, before Reign whispered something in his ear. Albus blushed brightly, hissing a, "I can't call him that!" Reign rolled her eyes. A clear message. Do you want him to forgive you or not, you idiot?

"Um..", Albus tried, successfully getting both boys' attention.

"I'm really sorry, babe...forgive me? Pretty please?" Albus pouted out his bottom lip.

Scorpius' body couldn't decide if it wanted to swoon or blush. So, it did both. Ryan looked away, pain flashing in his eyes, at Scorpius' reaction. Reign pretended not to notice, both her brother's reaction and Scorpius', deciding it was best to simply drink her pumpkin juice.

"Yeah. I mean, I guess...I could forgive...I'm sorry, did you just call me 'babe'?"

"Well, yeah.", Albus shrugged, attempting to stay nonchalant, and failing terribly as his blush deepened.

"I thought, if you called me 'love', I could give you a pet name, too.", he lied through his teeth, like a true Slytherin.

In all honesty, Reign had suggested the endearment. Not that he was complaining...it was sort of cute the way Scorpius did that little swoon-blush-flustered thing.

"Is that okay? Babe?"

Scorpius vigorously nodded his head, and Ryan, who had decided he had lost his appetite, raised form the Slytherin table and headed for the Black Lake.
