Chapter 12 "Whats In The Fire?" Hello! I am so excited to be posting and updating again! Yay! I hope you enjoyed the previous chapter I'm sorry it's so short I wanted to give you something as soon as possible! I really hope you liked it. I also hope you will enjoy this one. Thank you for sticking along for the ride.

The climb through Moria was amazing. Although I was uncomfortable with being here trapped in a long and unending path, I couldn't help but admire the handy work of the dwarves. They were truly gifted. But the demon that had nestled in my mind was still there. The dread was crawling under my skin. Even after being attacked by a giant fish you'd think that would be the worst to come, but no something was still off. I didn't trust Moria. I continued in my stride keeping up the rear. Something was following us, it had almost slipped past my notice, but then I saw it's glowing eyes. It wasn't human. It seemed to be the ghoul fabeled in fairy tales. It didn't seem quite so real, I thought I had been imagining things but, Frodo noticed as well. Not all was as it seemed here...

"How did you know something like that was going to happen?"

I hadn't noticed Legolas slow pace to match my own. I was drowning in my thoughts.

"Pardon?"

"You told Gandalf... I have a bad feeling about this. You knew something was going to happen. Of course we were all a bit cautious about it, but you knew better than the rest of us. How?"

"I'm not sure I just knew...?"

"That's not an answer."

"Fine... Have you ever been hunting in the dark, for a beast that you knew could tear you into peices? Did you ever think for a secound that you are going to die? That's how I felt and I suppose it was right..."

He nodded his head taking this all in. "Anything else you'd like to qlue me in on?"

"Something is following us..."

We both looked over our shoulders into the dark, and staring back was a pair of glowing eyes. Angry eyes... In an instant they were gone. Legolas was definitely nervous now, if he hadn't been before.

"Does Gandalf know?"

"Yes as well as Frodo. I thought I was imagining things until he said something."

"Inquisitive hobbit isn't he? He seems to be different from his friends... He has a deeper understanding."

"So I've noticed. The world may just be saved by the smallest of things. He is not to be underestimated..."

Borrimir appeared joining the conversation.

"What are you off talking about then?" Borrimir asked, posdibly out of shear boredom.

"The strongest things can come of the most unexpected people." Legolas noted before walking ahead to talk to Aragorn

"He seems a bit odd..." Boromir remarked with much confusion.

"No... Just observant."

"Hmm... Yes, that is a word for him. His eyes watch everything like a hawk. He is very deep in knowledge I do believe. There is much to learn from him." He remarked.

His stride quickened, leaving me to walk alone. I could feel the demons eyes boring hole into the back of my head. Just waiting for its chance to strike...

Gandalf was afraid we attracted to much attention, in our not so incredibly graceful exit, leaving us without warmth and nothing to cook the food. We all say in silence trying to sleep, despite the fact if we fidgeted in our sleep to much, we would end up falling off the ledge. I was much to anxious to sleep, and everyone was much to nervous to speak, so I ended up speaking to the voice in my head...

This place has a foul scent... Do you smell it?

Yes it smells of... Death

hmm...

What's your name?

Pardon?

What's your name? You've never actually told me... All I know about you is your a magical being or something like that, who has partially possesed my body, and because of that has given me powers.

Actually this all your magic.

Come again?

Hmm how shall I explain? Say you are a fountain. But you in particular are very special and you have a very powerful splash. See people don't like it because when they see you, although you may be a beautiful fountain, they end up wet from the water you splash. You are essentially a river that is too mighty. I help with that. I cap your powers and tap into them so you may use them properly, but when that happens your body is now mine and it is my personality that comes out. In reality it is all your power. You will learn to control it soon...

So I'm your own personal puppet?

Close enough...

We sat in silence with nothing left to say.

Wait you never told me your name!

It's Felicity.

Wow beautiful.

Wow beautiful.

I had another namein the beginning of time... But that was befor your mother helped me. I hated my old cruel ways and wanting nothing to do with it, therefore I asked her to change my name. Felicity tis the name she gave me.

You knew my mother!? Why didn't you tell me? Don't you think that was kind of important?

She said nothing. This was frustrating... I was never going to get to the end of this mystery.

Legolas

I wondered what was in the dark corners of Moria... What evil lurked, but at the same time I also didn't want to know... I couldn't sleep knowing something else was out there watching us. The pair of eyes I saw was haunting me, but so were another pair. Adriane's eyes changed from a luscious forest green, to a fierce gold. It was... Dangerously beautiful... I shook my head, I needed to snap back to reality. These thoughts need not haunt me any longer. I had bigger things to worry about. I needed to concentrate on the monster at the end of the tunnel.

Pippin

Food... Ale... Shire... Home... This journey no longer seemed pleasant. It wasn't that I didn't want to help Frodo but, I missed home and the safety of the Shire. I missed Old Gafer's Brew... I couldn't wait to see the stars of the Shire again... When I did see them, it would be like greeting an old friend. I had a feeling that wouldn't be for a very long time. Maybe I would never see them again.

Adriane

I couldn't sleep last night. Not that I didn't want to... I was just afraid. Afraid the dreams would come again and I would watch my mother die... I was afraid to see my brothers and sisters... My father die again. Why won't it stop? Why must it plague me? It only fuels my anger' my hatred. I hate humans. I really do, they're all so selfish. I hate them. The fellowship men were the only exception. They were probably the only humans I could ever trust. They risked their lives to save Middle Earth. Maybe it was wrong to judge all humans on the act of one, but I couldn't help it. They stole my security, my family, my state of mind. I would make whoever murdered the innocent blood of my people pay. Just watch and see. They were not going to get me to lie down and die. I wasn't going to be helpless again. Promise.
