Tea didn't know where she was headed, all she knew was that she had to get as far away from Llanview and that son-of-a-bitch Todd Manning as she could. She had left him before but this time it was different. She used to think that she could forgive him of anything, but she didn't think that anymore. They had always had their heated fights, but when Todd Manning's fist came in contact with her face she knew that she had to leave him for good this time. He obviously didn't love her if he could treat her that way.
The warning message displayed on her dashboard and Tea knew that she was having car trouble. Todd had told her that he had fixed the radiator, but that was just another lie. Smoke came streaming out as soon as Tea had lifted the radiator.
"Great, this is all I need," Tea said to herself. She didn't know anything about cars.
Jaime was on his way to work when he noticed, a hot, sexy, lady on the side of the road. She looked frustrated as hell and even though he knew that he would be late to work he had to offer his assistance. He pulled over and walked over to her.
"Can I be of assistance?" he asked her.
"No thanks. I'll get things handled. I just have to call a Tow truck and get it over to a mechanics."
"Well you're in luck. I'm a mechanic and I'd be more than happy to take a look for you."
Tea thought about telling him to get lost. She wasn't the damsel in distress type and she could handle her own problems, but there was something about him that intrigued and fascinated her. She took a deep breath, " Ok, you can have a look at my car," she said.
"Where are you from?" Jaime asked as he fidgeted with her engine.
"Llanview, where are you from?"
"Pine valley. Where are you headed?" Jaime asked.
"What's it like there?" Tea asked hoping to streer the conversation away from her.
It took Jaime an hour to fix her car and he had told Tea all about his family the Martins and what it was like growing up in a small town.
"Jaime, it was very nice talking to you? Can I buy you lunch? It's the least I owe you."
"You don't owe me a thing, besides don't you need to be on your way to wherever it is you're going."
"Pine Valley sounds nice. I think that I would like to spend some time there. So, what do you say to lunch?"
"I think lunch sounds great."
Jaime and Tea spent all day together. After lunch, Jaime showed her around town. She hadn't known Jaime very long, but he had been the perfect person for her to meet. He had helped her more than he would ever know. Tea decided that Pine Valley would be the perfect place for her new start.
