I moaned as Mike's fingers dipped into me, sighing inwardly as I bucked against him. "Ouch!" I hissed as he dug his thumb against my clit.

"What?" he asked, breathing heavily as he lay beside me.

"That fucking hurts when you do that shit!" I gasped, smacking his hand away. Once again, I was probably not going to get mine. Well, not by him, anyway.

"Sorry," he whispered, kissing my shoulder. He pulled my jeans down the rest of the way, and I kicked them off my legs, grabbing his dick as he positioned himself above me. I seriously fucking hated guiding him in all the time. The least he could do was put his own damn dick in himself! I let out a soft moan as he entered me, grabbing his shoulders to add effect. It wasn't that Mike wasn't a decent lover...I mean he touched all the right places, said all the right things, but he just never got me to home base, you know?

He breathed into my neck harshly, moving his hips against mine. His hands rested beside my head, as he made deep thrusts into me. I moaned lightly, as I snuck my hand down my stomach, trying to do myself some good, but he slapped my hand away, trying to rub my clit himself. Goddamn it that shit hurt. I twisted my hips in an effort to get away from his touch. Wrong move. He thought I liked it, and his movements sped up. I clawed at his back in pain, and his hands returned to their position by my head. I arched my back, panting hard, and kept my eyes close. Please, God, just this once. Just once, let me have it! I prayed, but it went unanswered, as I felt Mike twitch inside me. I squeezed around him a few times, letting out some convincing moans. I was breathing heavily. Not so much from the fact that I was spent, because my clit would definitely need some attention later, but because his weight was crushing me.

"Mike?" I grunted, pushing against his chest.

"Oh, yeah," he breathed, backing up on the seat and zipping his pants. He got out of the truck, helping me as I stepped down. "You okay?" he smiled as I wobbled, straightening out my jacket. I nodded, giving him a smile.

"Yeah, I'm good," I smiled. He threw the condom somewhere in the bushes by the house and nodded to me.

"Well, I'll see you at school," he winked. "Love you," he kissed my forehead.

"Yeah," I replied, tucking my hair behind my ears. Ugh, this so fucking sucked. He retreated to his car, waiving as he drove away, his taillights quickly fading from view. I leaned against my truck, arms crossed, as I tried to figure out what to do.

Mike was a nice guy, he was. It just...wasn't clicking with us. It wasn't fair to have a relationship where one person always got theirs, while the other was always left hanging out to dry. Now, I was sure if I was honest about this with him, he'd try harder. But I knew his ego was fragile, and I'd end up hurting his feelings, which would probably just make everything even more awkward. I sighed, going into the house and walking up to my room. Charlie was on the nightshift doing twelves. He bitched about not being home for dinner, but promised to be home for breakfast. Whatever. Forks needed protecting, and my dad was one of the men who did it.

I climbed into the shower, making double sure to wash the latex smell off of my thighs. That guy seriously needed to work on his withdrawal technique. I sighed, getting out of the shower and twisting my hair up in a towel. I could hear a knock downstairs, and I looked in the mirror. Who the fuck was that? I grumbled, stomping down the stairs and whipping the door open. Wild copper hair sat atop the crown of the man standing before me, peeking out of the beanie that sat on his head. Green eyes glared at me, his face tense and red.

"Cullen," I spat. "What the fuck are you doing on my doorstep?"His narrowed eyes flickered down and My eyes went down to the dog he had by the collar. "Maggie!" I cried, pulling her towards me. She excitedly jumped on me, licking my face. Maggie was my two-year-old Boxer dad had gotten me for Christmas two years ago.

"That's disgusting," Edward snarled, stepping back. "Keep your fucking dog away from my house," he spat.

I looked up at him confused, "Your house? What the hell did you have her all the way out there for?" I growled. Edward's parents' house was four miles out.

"The better question is what the hell was your mutt doing all the way out there? I came home from practice and there she was, fucking slutting herself out to my dog. I practically had to fucking pry the two apart." The black beanie on his head slid back a little, revealing the bronze hair all of Forks' girls dreamed about. The grey American Eagle hoodie he had on hung off of his tall frame.

"They were...together?" I asked in horror, thinking about the huge size of his Boxer, Brickle. I looked down at Maggie, who was now running around in the living room, always trying to catch the stub of tail she was never going to get. I looked back at Edward, who had a smirk on his face.

"Unfortunately," he nodded, and I shuddered. I hadn't had the chance to get Maggie to the vet with how hectic Charlie and my schedules were. "Dad says he'll pay for the puppies' shots and shit, as long as we split the profits fifty-fifty," Edward smirked, crossing his arms and leaning against the door frame.

"My dog is not pregnant!" I stuttered, looking back at Maggie. "Slut," I muttered. She looked up at me, panting stupidly, that fucking dog.

I looked back to Edward as he snickered. "I wouldn't doubt that she is, Swan. Brickle got her pretty good." He shook his head, his chest rising with his laugh.

I rolled my eyes. "Can't you control that beast?" I hissed, shoving a finger into his chest.

His head went back as he laughed. "Control my dog? On my property? Oh, that's fucking rich, Swan. Your dog prances up in my yard, and suddenly it's my dog's fault? Are you kidding me?" he stepped closer to me, and I shoved him away, shaking my head. The towel wrapping my hair was threatening to fall, and I steadied it.

"Well nothing, Swan. Do you have my number if she does end up being knocked up?" he asked, shoving his hands into his pockets.

I scoffed, scowling at him, "Of course not." His eyes rested on my chest, and I crossed my arms. Until now, I hadn't realized I was standing out on my porch in a tank top and shorts with no bra on. He smirked. Fucking fantastic.

"Do you have any paper?" he asked, mimicking my gesture by crossing his arms.

"No, fuckface, we have fucking stone tablets and chisels," I hissed, rolling my eyes.

"Oh, shut the fuck up, bitchface, and get me some paper so I can get the fuck out of here," he snarled. I rolled my eyes again, moving to walk into the house. He went to follow me.

"Ohhhh no. Out. I'm not going to clean my house from attic to basement because your diseased ass came in and contaminated it," I barked at him, pushing him away. My hands met stone, and I tried once more to push him.

"I'm not going anywhere," he declared, his stance solid in the doorway. I sighed, pushing back from him. He followed me into the hallway, and I rummaged through the writing desk. Where the hell did those paper pads go? I rustled again through some other drawers. "Jesus, I thought your locker was a mess, but your house is a nightmare," he muttered, looking at me as I went through the desk again.

"I fucking had them in here the other day!" I cried, getting more and more pissed. The towel fell from my hair, landing in a heap on the floor. I glared at it, whipping my hair over my shoulder, as I ran a hand through it. Marching into the kitchen, I began sorting through drawers. Edward's cough interrupted my search, as he held up a piece of paper.

"My number," he motioned, handing it to me. I snatched it from him.

"My dog's not pregnant," I mumbled, crossing my arms and glaring at him. He chuckled, as he stepped out the door onto the porch.

"Whatever. And Bella…" he said, turning to look at me, as I leaned one hand against the doorframe, crossing my ankles, "Don't fucking call or text unless it involves the bitch," he smiled. I glared at him harder, slamming the door in his face. As fucking if.

I grumbled, turning to stroll up the stairs, Maggie hot on my tail.

"Why can't you be a normal dog, Maggie? You're such a hussy...at least choose a mutt who's person isn't the fucking pesticide of Forks." She panted behind me and I pulled my covers back. I rolled my eyes, allowing her to jump in the bed. She spun around a few times, attempting to get comfortable. "You better not be pregnant, Maggie...I swear, I'll have you for dinner..."

I dreaded school the next day, as I pulled into the parking lot. Fuckface had some bitch plastered against the wall, and as I walked into the school, his head turned to smirk at me. I glared at him, pushing the doors open as I walked through. The halls were more crowded than usual, and I grumbled as I tried to make my way through the throng of people bumping into me. I smiled when I saw Rose leaning against my locker.

"Hey, hot stuff," she smiled. She wrapped her pink Victoria's Secret sweater around her, shoving her hands into her jean pockets.

"Hey," I replied, slamming stuff into my locker angrily. My locker was not a mess.

"What's got your panties in a bunch?" she asked, pulling her blonde hair into a messy ponytail. I turned to her, grabbing my anatomy book out of my locker and clutching it to my chest.

"Fuckface," I snarled, leaning against my locker.

Her eyebrows rose. "I never thought I'd see the day when he'd get inside those boy shorts," she rose her brow, glancing at him quickly. He smirked, his hand loosely hanging around the girl's waist.

I punched her arm. "You know that's not what I meant," I hissed. "His fucking dog fucked Maggie yesterday." I glanced around quickly, rolling my eyes at Edward's amused expression.

Rose let out a laugh. "Fuck this. Let me shout out to the whole damn school that you and Eddie are going to be parents."

I stiffened, my eyes growing in horror. "Rose, no, you can't do that," I begged, clutching her arm.

"Hey, Swan, your big ass is in the way. Can you move over so I can get my shit?" Edward's voice came from behind me. I jumped at his voice, whipping around to glare at him, as he put his book bag in his locker. He grabbed his anatomy book while looking at me. "Problems?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. I looked to Rose, who had a smirk on her face.

"Are you excited?" she asked, and my face went red.

He looked at her confused. "About anatomy?" he asked, closing his locker.

"About being a daddy," she laughed.

His face paled. "What?" he hissed. "Who said that? Where is she? I knew those fucking condoms Lauren had looked sketchy-"

"Oh, Eddie, your dog," Rose laughed. I groaned inwardly, biting my bottom lip.

He looked down at me and back to her. "Who knows if Brickle is the dad? Maybe we'll have to go on Maury or some shit to find out," he humored her. She laughed.

Again, I groaned. "Don't talk about Maggie like that," I hissed, narrowing my eyes.

He rolled his. "You don't know who she fucked on her way to my house. It could've been that little toy poodle down on Camus Avenue, who knows," he replied, shrugging his shoulders. The image of my Boxer getting it from a dog much smaller than herself made a humorous picture.

"Like that could happen," Rose laughed. I heard a squeal, as Jessica came up to him, kissing him on the cheek, as she pretty much clawed his chest trying to drag him away. He smiled, wrapping his arm around her and winking at me. I glared at him.

"Ugh, he's such a pig. That's like the second chick this week he's been with," I said, slamming my locker door.

"It was Tanya at the beginning of the week, wasn't it?" Rose asked, clutching her book to her chest.

I nodded. "Yeah, with the fucking Beetle that almost scratched my baby," I hissed, narrowing my eyes.

Rose threw her head back as she cackled. "I almost forgot about that," she snorted.

"Shut up," I sighed, walking into anatomy with Rose. Everyone was crowded up at the white board, looking at a piece of paper.

"Are you serious?" Mike said, running his hand through his hair. His eyes caught mine, and he smiled, "Looks like we're not lab partners anymore," he said nervously, laughing lightly.

I furrowed my brows. "What?" I asked, pushing my way through the sea of students. Okay, there were only like twenty kids, but still. I glared at the paper, my sight turning red. "Cullen," I growled.

"Yes?" a deep, velvety voice asked from behind me. I scowled at him, before turning and stalking toward my new lab desk. Clear in the fucking back. How was I supposed to see shit? I was NOT going to wear my glasses to school. No way, no how.

His face mimicked mine, as he walked towards the back, a scowl gracing his features as well. "Am I ever going to get rid of you?" he asked, his signature smirk in place. I looked straight ahead, as Rose pranced to her table. Thankfully, it was right in front of us, and I'd be able to talk to her at least.

"Well, well, well, isn't that quaint?" she laughed, setting her books down on the table. Rose sat up straighter, as she watched her new lab partner walk towards their table.

"Eddie!" the guy bellowed, pulling Edward up into one of those man hugs that guys did.

"At least I'll be surrounded by someone civilized," Edward said, his face lightening. I rolled my eyes. "How's it going, Emmett?" he asked.

Emmett glanced at Rose, his smile wide. "Awesome, apparently." Emmett had been trying to get into Rose's boudoir since before I could remember. Rose was not having it.

"Now who has a quaint seating arrangement, Rose?" I snickered, as Emmett's huge ass plopped on the stool.

She turned and glared at me. "Shut it, Swan," she hissed.

Mr. Banner walked into the room, clapping to get us to calm down. "I see you've gotten your new seating arrangements," he smiled. We all sat quietly. "I assume this should keep the chatter down during class. Now, who wants to begin our lab for the day? Separate the onion cells according to their mitosis phases."

I groaned, grabbing the slide, as Edward pulled out the microscope. He plugged it in, as Mr. Banner shut the lights off, and I handed him the slide.

"So, what resolution should we set this on first?" he asked, squinting into the microscope.

"Mmm, ten X is the first setting. As it always should be," I replied, rolling my eyes. I watched as he moved the adjustment knob.

"Prophase," he stated, pulling back from the microscope.

I leaned in to check, and his cologne overwhelmed my nose. "Um, yeah, it's prophase," I said, running my hand through my hair quickly.

He rolled his eyes. "Obviously, I just said that." I narrowed my eyes, clenching my teeth. "So, is your mutt showing yet?" he asked, pulling the other slide under the microscope.

"She's not a mutt," I growled out.

He laughed, leaning down again. "Is that the first time she got out?" he asked, leaning back from the microscope, "Anaphase."

"Yes...I figured Charlie would've made sure he locked the door," I sighed, writing down anaphase on the paper once I checked the slide.

"Why, can she open it or something?" he asked, moving the next slide onto the stage.

I laughed. "That dog is ridiculously smart. Like, she should have her own show on Animal Planet or something. Only, she's never run away before. She's always just stayed in the yard."

"Metaphase," he said, moving the slide off of the stage. "Maybe she wanted some adventure...or to get laid," he smirked. "Want to check?" he asked, tilting his head. I looked up to the table in front of us. Emmett and Rose were crowded around their microscope.

"No, I believe you," I sighed. "And that leaves-"

"Telophase," he smirked.

"She didn't want adventure or to get laid. Your dog probably abducted her or something," I mumbled, handing Mr. Banner our sheet as he walked by. The bell rang, and I gathered up my books.

"Yes, because Brickle just roams freely around the neighborhood, walks the four miles to your house, and then beckons her to come with him to my house where they shack up," he shook his head, scooping his books into his arms.

"Well, being that he is your dog, it wouldn't shock me," I replied, walking out of the classroom and across the hall to my French class. He strolled in behind me, putting his books down at the desk in front of me. I hated that I would have to sit by this guy in TWO classes now.

"Brickle is a stud," he smirked, turning around in his chair to look at me.

I rolled my eyes. "Could you turn around, please? You're distracting me," I spat, opening my notebook.

"Do I distract you a lot?" he grinned, tilting his head, as he flipped my notebook closed on me.

I glared at him. "Only when I'm coming up with ways to dispose of your body," I growled out, as the rest of the class filed in.

The bell rang, and he smirked at me. "I think you think of other…"

"Bonjour, class!" Madame Han exclaimed, clapping her hands to get us to quiet down. He turned around, tucking a pen behind his ear. It took everything in me not to grab that pen and stab him in the fucking head with it. Madame had a black, knee-length dress on today, with black boots that went up to mid-calf. I groaned. The lady wasn't fat, but she sure wasn't skinny, either. She needed to not wear the clothes she wore, and maybe update her makeup to not be so sparkly. "Ca va, Monsieur Cullen?" she asked, tilting her head.

"Tres bien, Madame," he replied. My stomach lurched, as I bent down to write in my notebook.

"Et, Isabella?" she asked, and my head snapped up.

"Tres mal," I replied, bending back down to write.

"Porquoi, Mademoiselle?" she asked, frowning.

"Je ne sais pas," I shrugged. Get off my back, lady. You asked, I answered. This was not interrogate Swan day.

She laughed. "D'accord." She pointed to the board and began explaining to us that we needed to translate a chapter out of our books into English. I sighed. This was going to take forever without a damn dictionary.

Edward turned around, as everyone began speaking. "I'm having issues with the verb forms for some of this sentence structure," he said, plopping his book on my desk.

I shoved it away, but he kept it there. "That's not my problem."

He looked around the class. "Well, it's a problem if you don't have a dictionary," he replied. Madame never let us have our own dictionaries, because she said they were too inconsistent. So, we were resigned to using the dozen we had in the classroom, one of which I didn't have the pleasure of grabbing when we'd walked in. "And, I know how terrible your translation is, as well as spelling, so maybe we can help each other out?" he asked, raising his eyebrow.

I sighed, grabbing my book as I slid it over. "Why are you even talking to me?" I asked, smoothing out my page and looking down at my book.

"Well, I figured since we're going to be parents and all-"

"No," I said, holding a hand up to him, "don't. WE," I said, motioning between the two of us, "are not going to be anything. Understand, Cullen?" I demanded.

He laughed. "Whatever you say, Swan, whatever you say." He looked down at his book, "But we are going to help each other with this, right?"

"I guess, whatever," I grumbled, wondering what the hell he was playing at. Since when did Edward Cullen not excel at everything known to God?

Friday. I hated Fridays. Tugging my Converse on, I grumbled as I bent to tie them.

"I'm working the nightshift again," Charlie said, leaning against my bedroom doorframe, coffee mug in hand. I nodded, finishing the tie on my shoe.

"When are they supposed to get you another deputy?" I asked, pulling on the red Ohio State hoodie that was draped over my computer chair.

"The mayor says they've done the interviews, just have to wait on the background checks I guess." He sipped at his coffee, his moustache twitching.

I smiled. "And then fishing on the weekends again?"

Charlie laughed. "Of course, Billy's been bugging me lately about not getting out on the boat," he took a drink from his coffee. I grabbed Maggie's leash from my dresser, as Charlie looked down at his watch. "It's a little late for her walk, isn't it, Bells?" he asked. Maggie trotted into my room, her tongue hanging out, as she sat for me to put her leash on.

"It's almost seven o'clock. School starts at eight thirty. We've got time." I bent down to clip the hook onto her pink collar. Charlie laughed, as she lunged towards the hallway, pulling me along with her.

"When are you getting her in to the vet?" he asked, following us down the stairs. I struggled to keep her contained, as I grabbed for my jacket.

"Her appointment is tomorrow at ten," I replied, wrapping Maggie's leash around my wrist, as I wrestled my jacket on. Charlie laughed, taking the leash from my wrist.

"It probably would've been a better idea if you'd have just put your jacket on first, Bells."

I gave him a glare, pulling the hood from my sweater out of my jacket and adjusting myself. Taking the leash from him, I opened the front door, and Maggie bolted right out. The air was cold. November in Forks sucked monkey balls, and my lungs agreed. Walking down the porch steps, I let Maggie lead the way. She enjoyed discovering new ground whenever we went for our daily strolls.

I shoved my hands into my pockets, the leash wrapped around my wrist, as Maggie trotted down South Street. It'd been two weeks since her "encounter" with Brickle, Edward's beast of a dog. I'd made a vet appointment for her to see if she was indeed pregnant with his beastly spawn. Brickle's, not Edward's. She'd started getting sick earlier this week, and I figured it was a red flag. However, Maggie was known for eating random things, so that very well could've been the result of a bad burrito Charlie had probably fed her. He never listened to me, when I told him not to feed her table scraps.

"Brickle, NO!" I heard a voice yell, just as I turned to see a dog lunging at Maggie. I yelled out, trying to pull her leash towards me. The dog was on top of her, as she rolled over.

"Get off of her!" I yelled, pulling at Brickle. He growled at me, snapping as I reached for him. Edward's hurried form had grabbed the back of the dog's neck, pulling him off of Maggie. Maggie looked fucking happy as hell and stood up, panting goofily as she licked at the air. I grabbed her leash quickly, finding myself panting as well.

Edward was struggling with Brickle, trying unsuccessfully to attach a leash to his collar. Brickle's head darted in and out of Edward's legs, as he held the dog between them. Finally, I heard a click, and Edward went to pick his leg up, but Brickle lunged once more. This time, though, Edward had control of the dog.

"Bella," he said breathless. I looked on horrified.

"Can't you control that beast?" I asked, as Maggie whined. She managed to lick at Brickle's paw, and the male dog bent to sniff at her. If dogs could smile, these two would have had the biggest shit-eating grins on their faces.

Edward let out a laugh. "That's rich, coming from you, Swan." I glared at him. "Wasn't it your dog prancing up to my property a few weeks ago?" he smirked, tilting his head, and the red beanie he had on slid back a bit, his copper-colored locks dancing playfully on his sweating forehead.

"She had a moment of weakness," I growled out.

He chuckled. "Whatever. So, did you ever find out if he knocked her up or not?" he asked, tugging on Brickle's leash. The dog whined in reluctance and sat down next to his owner, looking expectantly up at him. Maggie's stub of a tail wagged, as she looked from me to the other dog.

"Her appointment is tomorrow, actually," I said matter-of-factly.

He nodded. "Dad says if she is, he'll split the costs with Charlie." Edward put his hands in his pockets, rocking on the balls of his feet.

"That's the least you can do, I suppose," I murmured, tugging on Maggie's leash. "Sit." She sadly obliged, her floppy ears draping over her head. "Why are you over here, anyway?" I asked, gesturing to the street sign above us.

His eyebrow lifted. "The 'beast' here, as you so call him, took off like a bat out of hell out the back door when my mother let him out. I followed him into town. He wouldn't listen, obviously. He can smell your dog's shit from our house, apparently."

"You ran four miles?" I asked my jaw dropping.

He laughed. "I'm here aren't I?"

"Yeah, well, that's just kind of a long jog. We have to be at school," I pulled my phone out of my back pocket, "in an hour. I don't think you can do four miles in an hour."

Edward smirked at me. "I'm on the track team, Swan. Of course I can do four miles in an hour," he rolled his eyes.

I felt my cheeks get hot. "Well, I don't make it a habit of keeping up on your extracurricular activities, Edward."

"Maybe you should?" he chuckled. He looked down at Brickle. "Are you ready, horn dog?" he asked, making a whistling sound. Brickle's head snapped up, his body alert and ready for the run ahead of him. "I'll see you at school, Swan," he waved, taking off down West Street.

I looked down at Maggie. "Mags, why are you such a hussy?" I asked, as I yanked her leash towards me. We walked back towards the house, slogging through the wet ground. Fog hung heavily in the air, another reason for hating Forks in November. Well, I guess it was a reason to always hate Forks. It was always foggy. And rainy.

"That was a quick walk," Charlie commented, looking down at his watch. I rolled my eyes, taking Maggie's leash off, as she ran towards the kitchen.

"Yeah, I know. I ran into Cullen." I bent down to pick up my book bag off of the bench that sat by the door.

"Which one?" he laughed. The look I gave him gave it away. "Oh, Edward, he's a nice enough kid," he said, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Yeah, whatever, Dad," I mumbled, opening the door.

"Have a good day, Bells," he waved. He held the door for me. "Are you going to Alice's tonight?" he asked, as I walked onto the porch.

"I was thinking about it. I don't know. I have to be up early for Maggie's appointment tomorrow, though."

He nodded. "Well, whatever you decide to do, remember to lock the house up."

I rolled my eyes. "Yes, Dad."

He laughed. "Have a good day, Bells," he gave a wave as I walked towards my truck.

Throwing my book bag on the bench, I slammed the door, starting the engine. It roared to life, the heat blasting through the vents. Cold air, I corrected myself. I turned it down as I shivered, rubbing my hands together.

The drive to school was uneventful. I sat in my truck, looking at my Facebook, when a knock on my window interrupted me. I glared at the person on the other side, rolling my window down.

"Bella," Mike greeted.

"What do you want, Mike?" I asked, sighing. He looked around the almost empty parking lot.

"Well, are you going to Tyler's party tonight?" he asked, his eyes shifting nervously.

I rolled my eyes. "Probably not, I was going to hang with Rose and Alice," I replied, rolling the window up, as I opened my door.

"Oh, well, I was seeing if you wanted to hang-"

"Mike, look, I like you. You're a cool guy. But I really thought we'd had this discussion a hundred times. We fuck. That's it. We don't have a 'let's hang out' relationship," I said, holding my hands out. His sullen look kind of made me feel bad. Kind of.

"So, that's a no then?" he asked, narrowing his eyes.

"Obviously?" I said tilting my head, as the silver Volvo pulled into the parking lot. Why the fuck did that motherfucker have Ray Bans on when it was damned misting?

Mike's attention went where my eyes were. He turned back to look at me. "You want Cullen, don't you?"

I shook my head, my eyes connecting with his. "What?" I asked, startled.

"You want that fucker," he spat. Oh, fuck, Newton was a jealous whore.

"No. No." I looked over at Fuckface, as he gave Tyler Crowley one of those man hugs, taking a cigarette from him. His head turned in my direction, a smirk marking his face, as he shoved one of his hands into the black pea coat he had on.

"Oh, bullshit, Bella," Mike scoffed. He stepped away from me. "Oh, this is fucking beautiful," he let out a laugh.

I panicked. "No, I don't want Fuckface, Mike," I shakily let out, my eyes going between the two. Edward had his back turned towards me now, Tyler laughing about something he'd said, apparently.

Mike smirked. "Yeah, well, the look on your face-"

I held my hand up. "A person coming into my line of view does not constitute 'wanting' someone, Newton. Look," I sighed, opening my door to grab my book bag. I slung it over my shoulder, "As much fun as we've had," and that was a lie, "we should just call it quits on this whole hooking-up thing. You're getting clingy. I told you when we started this shit that I don't do clingy."

He laughed. He fucking had the audacity to laugh. "So, you're going to go fuck Cullen now?"

I let out a growl. "No, fucker, I'm not going to-"

"Bella!" I heard Alice's voice pierce the air. We both turned to watch, as she climbed out of Jasper's black Mercedes. She gave him a quick kiss and closed the door. Alice, as usual, looked stunning. Purple skinny jeans with red stilettoes only Alice could pull off. She strutted towards Mike and I. "Mike," she nodded and leaned in to hug me. "Bella," she smiled, giving me an air kiss.

Mike nodded at her, narrowing his eyes at me. "Remember what I said, Bella. I give it a week," he spat, walking away. I rolled my eyes.

"What was that about?" Alice asked, her brows furrowed in confusion.

I shook my head. "Nothing," I laughed. I looked up to see Edward was nowhere to be found. "So, College Boy's home?" I asked, as we began walking towards the school.

Alice smiled. "Yeah," she said dreamily.

"I still can't see how you can be with one of Fuckface's family members," I whispered.

Alice giggled. "Not all of them are bad, Bella," she chirped. I opened the door for us, giving a huff towards her. She laughed.

"Well, from the one that I actually know-"

"Well, Jazz is a Whitlock, anyway. He's just known as a Cullen because of his mom." Alice stopped at her locker, quickly putting her combination in.

"I don't see how you can handle those," I said, my eyes glancing at the red heels on her feet. She looked down, popping her foot out.

"They're amazing. They give me height and an awesome sense of self-esteem," she laughed, "And they make me feel sexy. Jazz makes me keep them on sometimes when we-"

"Okay, so, did you get your trig done?" I asked, changing the subject.

Alice let out a laugh. "Oh, Bella, you can have hot sweaty sex with a guy you're not with, but I can't talk about my monogamous relationship with my boyfriend of two years?" Alice rolled her eyes. "And yes, I did get it done. I called that hotline they gave us at the beginning of the year. It was fucking killer, though." I nodded, as we walked towards my locker.

I popped a pencil into the lock of my locker. "Why don't you use the damn lock they gave us?" a voice asked from behind me.

I closed my eyes, sighing as I threw my bag in and shuffled out of my jacket. "Because some of us don't have time to diddle with stupid locks," I spat. I looked over, as he opened his locker. Tanya fucking Denali hung onto him again today, her French whore perfume permeating the air and making me nauseous.

"Hi, Bella," she smiled, her voice making me shudder.

"Tanya," I greeted.

Edward grabbed a book out of his locker. "What? No greeting for me? After our conversation this morning? I'm hurt," he said, making puppy dog eyes and holding his heart.

"Oh, whatever, Fuckface, it was hardly a conversation," I rolled my eyes, slamming my locker shut. Tanya wrapped her hand around his arm. "Besides, you were the one who spoke to me," I gestured to our lockers. "That was greeting enough, was it not?" I asked.

He nodded. "Touché. Anyways," he sighed. "Alice," he nodded, walking away with Tanya. Alice watched as they walked towards class.

"What conversation did you have?" she asked, gliding next to me.

"His mutt ran up to Maggie this morning," I replied.

"Again? Damn...that must be some fine ass she's got. That's a four-mile run," she whispered.

"I'm aware," I mumbled.

She chuckled. "That's kind of sweet. They're lovers."

"No, Alice. No. We don't speak of Mags like that," I said holding my hand up.

Alice laughed. "Oh, whatever, Bells."

I smiled as I waved to Rosalie.

She replied with the same gesture. "Alice, how's it going?" Rose asked, giving her a hug.

"Good. Jasper's home from school," Alice smiled.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm going to class," I mumbled, walking away from my two friends.

I walked into anatomy and sat down at the empty table. I pulled my book out and turned to the chapter we were supposed to have read the night before.

"Eager to get to class?" Edward asked, sitting down beside me.

"No, I just didn't feel like hearing Alice's recant of how many times her and your cousin fucked in her Porsche last night," I replied.

"I don't think Jazz could fit in her Porsche in that way," he chuckled.

"Well, whatever. Either way, I don't care to hear it."

"Aww, has Bella not gotten any lately? I saw Newton cozying up to you by your truck. I figured you guys got in some sort of morning quickie," he smirked. My stomach coiled as I thought about it.

"No, we didn't. Actually, Mike is cut off. He got too clingy," I spat, flipping the pages in my book. Apparently, I was trying to make myself believe I was reading.

"You know, for someone who gives me shit about my sex life, you're pretty much the same," Edward whispered, leaning close to me. His hot breath tickled my neck, making the hairs stand up.

"No. We're barely even in the same zip code there, Fuck-"

"Edward," he corrected with a smile. I glared at him.

"Whatever. I'm different. I have the same partner. You have many."

"Well, regardless, you have no-strings-attached sex; I also have no-strings-attached sex. Essentially, it's the same thing," he shrugged.

Edward Cullen had a point. And that shit pissed me off.
