They bundled Ephraim into the trunk of the Impala fast and unseen. Then Cas washed the sigil off the door while Dean picked up the fussing baby.

"Hey, there," he soothed. "What's the matter? Does Uncle Cas need to change you?"

"She has a very high fever." Cas said. "I was about to take her to the hospital when Ephraim arrived."

Dean felt her forehead.

"Not that high. She might be teething. A little baby aspirin, she'll be fine."

"Really? Are you sure? How do you know?"

Dean shrugged, thinking of another bundle of baby he'd held years before.

"Experience."
