"Caroline?" Elena said. She slowly walked inside Caroline's hospital suite. Elena quickly closed the door behind her and rushed to Caroline's side.
"Oh my god." Elena couldn't believe what she saw. "What did he do to you?" Caroline's face was black, blue and swollen. She tried to offer Elena a smile, but she was in pain.
"I am so sorry." Caroline could see a single tear fall down her friends face. "I shouldn't have said any of those things to you. I didn't mean it."
"Elena." Caroline said. "It doesn't matter. None of it matters." She told her. "I'm free from him now."
Elena gave her a confused, but hopeful look. "What do you mean?"
"Mr. Mikaelson." Caroline said. "He's been helping me."
"Mr. Mikaelson?" Elena asked.
"It's hard to explain." Caroline said. "Because I don't know the whole story myself. All I can tell you is that I feel safe with him."
"Caroline, you know that the MC isn't going to take this insult lightly."
Caroline sighed. "You don't think I know that? You don't think I knew the consequences of leaving him? What happened to me was clarity if anything else.
"You know that I'll always love you right, Caroline?" Elena said.
"I know that."
"But I had to sneak inside here just to see you." She said. "Damon…. I don't even want to think about what he would do to me if he found out."
"Then you should go." Caroline told her.
"I should, but I can't." Elena leaned over to hug Caroline.
When Elena pulled back Caroline brought her hand up to Elena's cheek. "I cannot force you to leave him, Elena."
"I love him." She said.
"But that's how the saying goes, doesn't it? Love is blind."
"Love is blind." Elena repeated.
"When you stop living in fear of him Elena, call me." Caroline hated to part ways with her.
"I don't think –"
"Call me, Elena." She told her. "And please don't hesitate. I love you too much to have what happened to me happen to you."
Klaus entered the basement inside of the police station and nodded at both Elijah and Alaric.
Matt Donovan, the deputy stood behind Tyler Lockwood. His hands and feet were tied to a chair and a single piece of duck tape covered his mouth.
Klaus didn't say a word as he unhooked the cuff links on his suit.
Klaus didn't say a word as he removed his jacket and rolled his sleeves back.
Klaus did speak though when he placed his hands on either side of the chair and looked at Tyler directly in the face.
"You fucked up, Lockwood." Tyler's eyes bulged out in fear. "And now, I'm going to fuck you up."
Klaus took a step back.
"Remove the tape from his mouth." Klaus told Matt.
Matt removed the tape.
"She's a fucking tease, Klaus." Tyler spat. "I don't know why the fuck you want her so bad."
Klaus sighed. He wasn't amused with Tyler's comment.
"Watch how you speak about her, Lockwood. Those words just very well may be your last."
"Empty threats." Lockwood growled. "All I hear is –"
Klaus didn't hesitate this time. He pulled out his gun and smacked him across the face.
"I assure you that my threats are very much real." Klaus smirked. "And the faster you learn that, the faster this will go."
"I don't know who the fuck you think you're messing with, Mikaelson. I am the –"
Klaus pulled out his gun again and aimed it directly at Tyler's forehead. "When are you going to learn some fucking manners?"
"You won't do it." Tyler pushed his forehead into the gun.
Klaus laughed. "You're right."
Klaus pulled the gun from his forehead. He aimed the gun at his foot and pulled the trigger.
Tyler screamed out in pain as the blood began to pool by his feet.
"Now where were we?" Klaus asked rhetorically.
Tyler continued to scream as loud as he could.
"Do you want me to tape your mouth shut again?" Klaus asked.
Tyler immediately silenced, but still groaned in pain.
"If you think what you're going through is in any way comparable to what you did to Caroline you're sorely mistaken."
"Who are you?" Tyler asked.
"That's such a broad statement, don't you think?" Klaus was toying with him. "I am many things, but I believe the only thing you should be concerned about is what is going to happen to you."
"What's going to happen to me?" He asked.
"You're going to disappear." Klaus smiled. "You caused quite a mess, both in your former place of employment and on the streets. It was only a matter of time before you were removed from your position."
"What the hell do you know about my position?"
"Your MC you mean?" Klaus asked. "Your MC will burn for this."
"My MC will kill you."
"I am the fucking MC, Lockwood." He took a step closer to Tyler. "I am the eyes, ears and fucking soul of the city you dumb little shit. I own everything. I am everything. You are going to be the fucking dust on my shoes when I'm done with you."
Tyler didn't speak.
"Now, you're going to tell me about Caroline." Klaus said. "I want to know every single detail of your relationship with her. I want to know every time you touched her, every time you kissed her… I want to know every single thought you've ever had about her."
Klaus walked over towards Alaric and he handed him a chair. Klaus placed the chair directly in front of Tyler.
Klaus took a seat in front of Tyler and placed his gun against his chest. Tyler looked at him in fear.
Klaus then wiped the gun back and forth cleaning the blood off. "You dirtied my gun." He commented before sitting back in his chair.
"You can start from the first time you met her." Klaus stuck the gun back in his pocket. This gave Tyler a small relief, but he knew that before tonight he would meet his end.
"And don't leave out any details." He told him. "I have all night."
After Elena left, Caroline said in her bed clutching the sides of her head. It was pounding profusely. She hit the call bell right next to her, hoping that the nurse would come soon.
When the nurse entered the room. She quickly gave Caroline the pain meds she needed. A few minutes later, the phone on the nightstand rung next to her.
"Hello?" Caroline answered the phone.
"Caroline." Her mother's sweet voice was on the other side. "How are you feeling?"
"Tired and in pain." She spoke honestly. "I don't know when they're going to let me out of here."
"Don't worry about that right now, honey." She soothed her. "Right now I need you to get better and stronger."
"Thanks mom." Caroline smiled. "I love you."
"I love you too." She said. "But before I go I have to tell you one thing."
"What is it mom?" Caroline asked confused.
"Don't trust, Klaus." She warned. "He's not a good man. He's dangerous."
"But mom –"
"I'm asking you to trust me." Her mom pleaded with her.
"I'll think about what you said." Caroline told her. "But that's all I can give you right now."
