I woke up late on Friday morning to discover that my new furisode was on the bed.
"It's about time you woke up, sleepy head." Kali said, walking into our dorm.
"What's going on?" I asked her, still feeling tired.
"Try on your new furisode." Kali smiled.
I woke up and tried on my new furisode. It was the most gorgeous furisode that I've ever worn (and this was my first time wearing a furisode, might I add).
"How do I look?" I asked Kali.
"You look like a Beautifly in the Morning Sun." she replied.
"Oh, thanks." I smiled.
Linnea and Blossom soon walked in.
"Nice furisode, Katherine." Linnea complimented.
"Have you girls tried on your furisodes yet?" Blossom asked Kali and Linnea.
"I tried mine on this morning. I love it." Kali responded.
"Well, I haven't tried on my furisode yet. I was so busy in Art class." Blossom said.
"What's our latest painting, Miss Blossom?" I asked her.
"I'm doing a sculpture on one of the greatest legendary Pokémon of all time."
"Who is it? Who is it? Who is it?" we all asked.
"Well, I'm doing a sculpture on the elegant Mew." Blossom said. "1) Because it's cute and 2) Because pink is my favourite colour."
"Excellent choice." I said.
"Where should you girls be, hmm?!" a voice boomed.
We all jumped to find Madame Perrault standing at the doorway, her arms folded and looking very stern.
"We were just on our way to class." Linnea replied firmly. She's one of the very few girls at the Laverre Academy to stand up to the headmistress.
"I see. Well, get a move on then." Madame Perrault snapped before walking off.
"Au revoir, Madame Diglett." Linnea said, in a sarcastic tone.
We couldn't help but laugh.
In the afternoon, I tried on my furisode straight after English class. I thought it suited me really well, seeing that pink is my favourite colour.
"What on earth are you wearing, Blossom?" a voice sneered.
I turned around to see Beauty Aimee standing in the doorway of my dorm. Aimee's best friend, Mari, was with her, giggling.
"I'm wearing a furisode." I told them.
"Furisode's are so 1980's." Mari replied, in her fakey-fake tone.
"Yeah, you might want to wear modern clothes." Aimee meanly suggested.
As they were laughing at me, Linnea angrily walked over to them.
"Problem ladies?" Linnea asked them in Swedish.
"I don't speak Swedish, Linnea." Aimee said in a sarcastic tone.
"Let me translate it to you in English: Leave Blossom alone!" Linnea snapped.
"Let's go, Mari. These girls aren't worth our time." Aimee said to Mari, before they glared at us and walked away.
"Are you okay, Blossom?" Linnea asked me.
"I'm okay. Thanks for sorting them out."
I hugged Linnea. I was very grateful to her for telling Beauty Aimee and Mari off.
"That furisode looks fantastic on you. I wouldn't listen to Aimee and Mari. They wouldn't know fashion if a Meowth used Pay Day." she replied.
"Have you tried on your furisode yet?" I asked her.
"Sure did. I look great in it as well." Linnea smiled at me.
"I've got French next." I said to Linnea.
"Oh great! Kali and I are stuck with Madame Diglett for English."
"Try not to be sarcastic." I told her. "Just do as she says."
Linnea looked unsure though.
I walked into the room feeling tense. Madame Perrault and I have clashed since I started at the Laverre Academy. I think it's because we're both stubborn and want things done a certain way. I'm so glad that this is my final year at the Academy.
A few minutes later, Kali walked in and sat next to me.
"I'm just glad Biology is over." she said
"Why is that?" I asked her.
"We had to do an experiment and it grossed me out." Kali pulled a disgusted face.
"I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to do an experiment that grossed me out too." I said.
Soon enough, Madame Françoise Perrault stormed into the class.
"Class, I've decided to put you all in seating arrangements." she said, grinning triumphantly.
I prayed that me and Kali stayed together. I definitely didn't want to sit next to Beauty Aimee!
"Now, Linnea will now be sitting at a single desk." Madame Perrault said, looking directly at me. I could tell that she was enjoying herself.
"That's not fair!" I whined.
Beauty Aimee started to laugh.
"Life isn't fair, Linnea. Just do as you're told!" Madame Perrault snapped.
I glared at her, determined not to lose the fight.
"Kali and I have always sat next to each other since we started at the Academy!"
"Your new desk is over there!" Madame Perrault snapped, pointing at the desk where I would now be sitting.
I remained defiant and crossed my arms.
"Since Linnea won't obey the rules, I'll move on." Madame Perrault said. "Kali, you will now sit with Didi."
I couldn't take it any longer. I grabbed my books and stormed out of the classroom.
"Someone's a sooky la-la." I could hear Beauty Aimee gloat from inside the classroom.
I ignored her and went straight to my dorm. I could feel the tears coming, but I didn't care. If Madame Diglett was going to be like that, then I would transfer classes.
I was angry! How dare that pest Aimee call my bestie a 'sooky la-la'? I stormed over to Beauty Aimee's desk.
"Can I help you, Kali?" came the sarcastic reply.
"Don't you dare pick on my best friend!" I yelled at her.
"Kali!" Madame Perrault snapped.
But I was not finished. I was determined to let Beauty Aimee know what I think of her.
"You think you're better than all of the other girls here at the Academy, don't you? Well, let me tell you something, Aimee. You're not!"
For once, Beauty Aimee was lost for words.
"You're a bully! The same goes for your friends, Mari and Didi."
And with that, I left the classroom to go comfort Linnea. I found her in our dorm feeding her Aromatisse.
"Are you okay, bestie?" I asked her.
"There is no way I'm going to let Madame Diglett win this one." she said in a firm tone.
"Oh, you don't have to worry about that. I practically told Aimee off for what she called you." I smiled.
"You did? How did she take it?"
"Let's just say that she'll steer clear from us for a while." I told her.
Just when we were laughing, the headmistress herself walked in.
"I want you girls to return to class immediately!" Madame Perrault barked at us.
"You know what, Madame Perrault? We're done for today." I told her. "Linnea, shut the door."
"I haven't fin-" Madame Perrault started to say, before Linnea closed the door in her face.
"That was so funny!" she said, laughing.
"I can agree with you on that." I said.
