It has been two years since Zemuria secured a tenuous peace. The Kingdom-Empire War ended in a cessation of hostilities between both sides. Krisna was able to rebuild from its own damages in the wake. The Kingdom of Fanelia could too rebuild with its king and people intact. And even amidst the grand declaration of war and chaos upon the world by the Society of Ouroboros in the Kingdom of Liberl, things do seem to appear like they've all settled down. The nations of Western Zemuria have voiced a vested interest in working together to fight off the Grimm threat, but tensions build beneath the surface everywhere.

In the Erebonian Empire, the main conflict, after the conclusion of Faulkner's Rebellion and the destruction of the Black Knight Zulwarn, lies between the Noble Faction headed up by the Four Great Houses which each rule a large chunk of the Empire each, and the Reformist Faction, led by CHancellor Giliath Osborne, a noted expansionist whom seeks to abolish the very idea of nobility and their power in Erebonia to create an egalitarian state.

This conflict will be viewed quite personally by one particular class in the Empire's prestigious Thors Military Academy: Class VII. A special group of individuals who were sent unique red uniforms for their first year at this great institution. They are the youth who will become the foundation of the world.
