History: How did it come to be? Especially important for original mechs.

Name: Stiftung

Type: Real

Height/Size: 8.4 meters(Medium)

Appearance: Stiftung, being an Einlager ATAC used by high ranking soldiers in the Imperial and Provincial Armies, has a very bulky frame with broad shoulders curving outward into sharp points. Its chest and knees end in similar points, all oriented upward. Its paint job has been considerably altered, though. While the silver accents have been left untouched, the purple frame has been replaced with a deep red, similar to that commonly worn by the Royal Family. In addition, a cloak has been added, with the Thors Military Academy emblem emblazoned on it, and the arms have a fire-aligned Orbment installed in the gauntlets, in the shape of a glowing power orb. On its back, additional vents have been added, giving the appearance of boosters. Stored in the hip is its primary weapon, a sword.

Franchise: Vanguard Bandits/Escaflowne mix

Attacks/Weapons: Longsword x1--The main melee weapon of Stiftung, made from reinforced steel. It has been modified to remove some weight after the unit was worked on by George Nome, to maximize the court fencing ability of the pilot, Francesca Victoire.

Burning Knuckle--The Fire Orbment installed in the unit's arms allows it to be enveloped in flame to reinforce its melee strikes. When used in the sword arm, the whole blade is enhanced by the power of fire.

Fire Bolt--A standard Fire Bolt Orbal Art, on the scale of large humanoid weapons. Fires a single homing fireball at the target.

Heatwave--New Orbal Art for modern tactical orbments. The earth under the target area is covered in intense heat.

Flame Tongue--New Orbal Art for modern tactical orbments. Flames erupt from the ground outright beneath the target.

Special Features:

Levistone Drive--In the two years since the defeat of the Zaibach Empire, much of their technology has been analyzed. The Levistones that gave their Guymelefs flight were one of the many things that have been taken to analysis for the ATACs of the world at large. George Nome was able to acquire a pair to give Stiftung flight, as the original Einlager models were land-bound. Powered by the unit's new model orbal engine, the acceleration and maneuverability is immense.

Stealth Cloak--Another Zaibach technological acquisition, it is also the reason why the new engine was necessitated--This cloak's camouflage ability is caused by a reaction with orbal energy, though its actual mechanics were based on scientific data from Chameleon Beastmen. The cloak can expand to cover all of Stiftung's body, including forming a hood for its head, and thus render it invisible to the naked eye. It cannot fly while using the cloak, however, and it must create open spots where it is visible to attack.

Modern Orbal Engine: George was able to replace the Einlager's old war-era engine with a new model from the Reinford Company. The resulting tactical orbment that all ATACs use has been similarly modified to cast the current standard Orbal Arts. This makes Stiftung far more powerful than any ATAC of its era, and arguably the most powerful non-excavated ATAC currently in existence.

Strengths: Stiftung has immense mechanical power, stronger Arts than anything currently on the market, plus flight and a stealth cloak. It is a true marvel of mechanical engineering in an era where humanoid weapons are beginning to fall out of favor due to stagnation in their designs in favor of tanks and airships.

Weaknesses: Stiftung's best features cannot be used fully simultaneously. It cannot fly and stealth, and it cannot use Arts and fly nor can it use Arts while invisible. While this may have been doable with the stronger engine that it possesses at one point, the increased power demands of these enhanced features has made it impossible.

History: Once an Einlager used by a band of deserter bandits, the ARCUS test team of now-second years of Thors Military Academy were able to defeat the owners of this Einlager, and were able to take it home to work on as a personal project for their engineer, George Nome. Naming it Stiftung, meaning "Foundation" in honor of their school, they have been continuously ensuring its completion to this day, and it is both a project they are proud of and a symbol of their bond as friends.
