![]() ![]() Name: Violet Marina Montoya Age: 16 Gender: Female World of Origin: Gaea Appearance: Violet stands at five foot nine, with long purple hair and red eyes. She has a slim figure which hides the power and strength she has. She usually wears the hairclip of a crescent moon on her hair. Her height, of course, does not take into account her white rabbit ears, trademarks of her Faunus heritage. Most of the time, she wears the Hagun Academy uniform, while outside of school she wears a hoodie, shorts, combat boots and socks which go right up to her thighs. When she knows she is going into an extended fight, she will wear a tactical harness. Personality/Quirks: Violet is a girl who is usually on the gentle, calm side. While still cheerful and more than willing to go up to people, she has a calming aura which defuses rashness, hostility and tension. She is always eager to explore and visit new places, and sometimes still feels overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the world around her. As someone who holds rather different values to the people of Earth, Violet occasionally sees clashes between her old values and the values of the world around her. She has an extremely strong sense of justice and is never unwilling to jump in to help someone in need, even if it puts her in extreme danger. Violet is also used to attention around her – both welcome and unwelcome. While she is not against someone asking to take a picture with her, the "real life bunny girl", she does have her limits and is not unwilling to firmly ask someone to leave her alone – and back up her "request" with her weapon if need be. Violet's favorite food is salad. Fresh vegetables, onions, tomatoes, leaf greens, olives, you name it. Ceaser dressing, Olive oil, ranch, any dressing goes along with such crisp vegetables in her mind. If one was to make Violet cry, it would be most easily done by frying or sautéing, boiling or otherwise cooking vegetables in front of her. Talents/Strengths: Violet is trained as a Huntress and is skilled in combat. Her particular style revolves around hit and run techniques which leave her opponents disoriented, either exploiting flaws in their defense or keeping them disoriented and constantly forcing them to keep their sense of awareness moving to keep up with her faster speed, flipping over, jumping beside and suddenly feinting to the opposite direction to fatigue their senses and creating an opening. Weaknesses/Shortcomings: Violet may be overconfident during combat, taking extremely risky gambles and sometimes outright "trading hits", letting the opponent chip away at her aura in order to reposition herself or getting her own hits in. This is also compounded by a sense of high she feels while fighting on Earth from the power up to her Aura, a feeling she admits made her feel "almost invincible" at the beginning until she was humbled by several near death experiences. Personal Weapon: Lunatic Crescent – a weapon forged during her time in Signal Academy, Lunatic Crescent is a bazooka which transforms into a glaive. While in bazooka mode, it is extremely powerful and packs a very powerful punch which can destroy even hardened armor, making it extremely effective against larger Grimm that she would have difficulty wilting down with hit and run tactics. In its glaive mode, it's blade has a dust coating based on the loaded dust cartridge at the time, giving it a small elemental effect with each strike. FN P90 Submachine Gun – an Earth rifle which Violet uses, the submachine gun was a prize taken from a soldier she slew during the Outer Haven incident. Her own P90 has all of the possible attachments: a flashlight, a laser sight and a suppressor. Five-Seven Semi-automatic pistol – an Earth pistol she carries as a sidearm. Combat Knife. Bio: All Violet knew about her family was that her mother was a great warrior. Raised in the Mercuria Orphanage, Violet lived her days playing with the other children. Told that her mother was a great warrior who fought passionately for her cause, Violet reached out for that same goal, to be a strong warrior who could fight for what she believed in. Gaining a strong sense of justice from a young age, she would often stand up to bullies and get into scraps and fights with boys – something which would get her in trouble. That sense of justice, however, also led her to enrol at Signal Academy and begin her journey to become a Huntress. Training at the Academy, Violet forged her twin weapons, Lunatic and Crescent. Fighting, studying and becoming stronger by the day, she was well on her way to enrolling in Beacon and becoming a full-fledged Huntress. She even tagged along with Bracers of the local guild branch to join them in Monster extermination missions in order to gain some kind of combat experience, something to help her application to Beacon. Then, she went to the Zeiss Central Factory to shop for Quartz. A disturbance from within the facility caused a panic and Violet, being a Huntress in training, rushed to investigate. What she found was a Drag-Energist experiment going haywire – and that was all she saw before she was engulfed by light. All Violet remembered after that was shouting. Shouting, screaming and the sounds of gunfire. When she woke to, she found herself in the middle of a desert city, surrounded by combat and by men wearing strange masks and wielding strange weapons. Even worse was the massacre that was going on. Large, strange machines – no, monsters – crushed humans underfoot, slaughtering dozens upon dozens of human soldiers en masse. She may have been disoriented, she may have been just blown through Aidios knew what, she may have no idea where she was, but one thing was for sure. These things were attacking people, and as a Huntress it was her duty to stop them. Bringing out her weapon, she began engaging the metal monsters and, after her initial shock, the soldiers which supported them. Bringing down three of those mechanical monsters, she found something curious. She was far from tired and all over her movements were amplified, it was as if she had suddenly gained power upon power. Strikes which should have only nicked tore the legs off of those beasts. Jumps which were nearly not enough to get her to cover threw her past it and out of the enemy's aim. The smallest effort and strength put in resulted in feats and power she would struggle to attain even if she exhausted herself. Part of her felt unstoppable, reawakened, as if some new potential had just been unleased. Then, as quickly as the sensation came, fatigue hit her like a wave – and it was just as she was beginning to be surrounded. Struggling to even stand by that point, Violet was only saved by the sudden intervention of an old man in most peculiar, tight armor. She was barely lucid as he dragged her to a hiding place and conversed with a strange machine, discussing something about her being a "Blazer" and from "The League of Mage Knights." She could hardly keep herself awake and could only make small, quiet protests as he patted her down for weapons and could only make a weak, halfhearted attempt to reach for her Orbment when he brought it out of her pocket and held it up for the strange machine – which somehow had a person in a box – to examine it. Before anything could come of this, however, more explosions sounded. The old man, clearly deciding that he couldn't continue his mission with a strange girl in tow, brought her with him through the chaotic streets when they ran across a Company of US Marines, deployed to try and stabilize the area. Before she could even ask him his name, he slipped the Orbment into her pocket and left her in a corner for the Marines to find. By the time they found her, the old man was nowhere in sight. The Marines took her in, caring for her and keeping her at their forward operating base to recover. Speaking with them, she discovered the truth of her situation. She wasn't in Liberl anymore. She wasn't even on Zemuria. She was clearly on the Mystic Moon; the strange world where the other came from. The Marines taught her about the Mystic Moon, about the nations they fought for, about the situation of the world she found herself in and everything she needed to get her foot on the ground. Although she did not fight, the soldiers greeted her before every departure and upon every return, and she was always there to greet them back. Then, Liquid Ocelot began his insurrection. As the various militaries of the world began falling apart, the Marines, due to their lack of nanomachines, found themselves one of the few holdouts against the empowered Private Military Contractors under Liquid Ocelot's command. Grabbing her own weapon, Violet joined in the pitched, desperate battle for survival. Facing Unmanned Gears, FROG soldiers and hostile Blazers, the Marine unit, against all odds, survived long enough for the incident to be resolved. In the aftermath of the incident – no, it was no incident, it was a conflict - two of the Marines, Melissa and Miguel Montoya, volunteered to bring Violet home and introduce her to their daughters, taking her as she needed a place to stay while on Earth. Explaining the situation to the American Authorities, on the merit of her fighting alongside the Marines she was given an honorary American Citizenship. Living with the Montoyas, the two sisters Melody and Mist welcomed her as if she was a third sister – after some initial questioning about the nature of her addition. Living her days as a part of the family, she found herself longing for Liberl and Zemuria less and less, although sometimes her dreams would still be of Ruan and the orphanage. She even began cultivating some sort of following on what Mist called the "internet", something undoubtedly begun by the fact she had bunny ears and showing up on a picture Mist posted on her own account. While the attention was not exactly unwelcome – and a very pleasant difference from what a Faunus could expect in the unenlightened areas of Zemuria – there was one particular incident involving the creator of the Infinite Stratos units and extremely petty and childish actions involved. The incident resulted in Mist being locked out of conventional Infinite Stratos units - something which Violet still feels partially responsible for. Then, greater strategy struck. Miguel Montoya was mortally wounded during combat on a mission for SHIELD. As he lay dying surrounded by his friends and family, Violet blamed herself. In her bliss and regular life, she had forgotten what she was supposed to be. She kept believing that if she had gone with them, if she had joined SHIELD with him and Melissa, if she had been in that raid with them, then he wouldn't be leaving and Melody and Mist would still have their father. In the whirlwind following her arrival, she had forgotten she was supposed to be a warrior. A huntress. Someone who protected the innocent. How long had it been since she last picked up a weapon? How long had it been since she went through the drills and motions? How long has it been since she last thought about protecting someone? It was in that room where Violet scolded herself, blamed herself, hated herself for allowing herself to forget and be protected for once. Following Mist to Japan, Violet applied to the Hagun Academy with the intention of becoming a member of the League of Mage-Knights, the closest thing to Bracers on the Mystic Moon. Arriving at Hagun, she became a member of the Student council on account of both her work ethic and her determination to help people. She quickly befriended the president and began going on out of school missions with the vice president, battling terrorist cells and offering Kanata alternatives to simply killing them all. Refocusing on her goal, she spent her days in the Blazer Academy – not truly a Blazer but standing alongside them nonetheless… Crafts: Moonsault: Jumping into the air, Violet charges Ice dust in her weapon before slashing down on them with her Glaive. Semblance: Red Illusion eye - Violet activates her semblance on an opponent, severely disorienting them. S-Crafts: Cross Lightning: Jumping into the air, Violet activates yellow dust and charges the air around her before throwing her Glaive. When her glaive pierces the opponent, a bolt of lightning strikes them, dealing massive damage and potentially limiting their movement. Orbment: Line 1: Evade 2 – Shield 2 – HP 1 – Haze Line 2: Action 2 – Cast 1 Orbal Arts: Stone Hammer, Aqua Bleed, Air Strike, Aerial, Soul Blur Sylphen Wing, Sylphen Guard, Tear, Earth Guard, Clock up, Anti-Sept Semblance: Violet is able to invert the perceptions of those she makes visual contact with, whether it be machine or man, severely disorienting them. 10/6/2018 . ![]() ![]() Name: McKenzie Gallacher Age: 16 Gender: Female World of Origin: Gaea Appearance: A bit of a tomboy, she's still girlier than she'd like to admit. Standing at 5'3'', Kenzie has short brown hair worn a bit messily, and amber eyes. She has an admirable figure that is noticeably athletic. While she is physically quite the attractive sort, she doesn't really do anything to doll herself up like style her hair or apply makeup. Her attire varies, but it's usually quite casual and reflects her spirited, sporty attitude. She usually likes to wear shorts and pants along with t-shirts or football kits, but she has some hidden feminine clothing for those really special occasions. Her IS pilot suit is colored yellow. Personality/Quirks: The Pride of the Highlands certainly carries with her a boisterous attitude to go along with that title. A spirited competitive type, Kenzie is always relishes a challenge and wants to come out on top. Her overall attitude is one that never gives up on something without at least finishing it, even if the success isn't always the best result, for at least she tried. She's full of pride and wants to be the best IS pilot that she can be. While she can sometimes form rivalries with others easily, perhaps even one-sidedly, she always attempts to be uplifting and encouraging, even to them. In her eyes, competition is no fun if it's a no-contest. And Kenzie is all about having fun. Though sometimes she takes the teasing of these rivals quite a distance, in the name of fun... Perhaps it goes without saying, given what kind of title she's introduced with, but she has a great sense of pride in her homeland of Scotland. She embodies certain stereotypes of her countrymen by being a bit lively and perhaps rough around the edges, and maybe even having a bit of a temper when she gets angry... But what's not always overly obvious is that she's a lot smarter, cultured, and well-spoken than most might give her credit for. She spends a lot of time having fun, but she is a noblewoman, even if she's alright with people forgetting that. She's a surprising diplomat and can calm down some situations (if she didn't outright cause them). Talents/Strengths: She's great fun to be around, someone who whether intentionally or unintentionally somehow draws people to her. Charismatic and loud, she's quite the reliable person to depend on. Her talents as an IS pilot are one of the best the UK has to offer, which is no slouch by any means. Tough, scrappy, competitive, never gives up. The IS unit she pilots, Tartan Heart, is tough as nails and hits extremely hard for an IS. Her own physical prowess in and out of an IS aren't too shabby either, being a skilled runner, swimmer, and person who beats people up. Weaknesses/Shortcomings: Sometimes that spirited nature of hers gets ahead of her, and Kenzie might be too into something to recognize whether she's gone too far or made a mistake. Her pride is also something that can bite her, despite her claiming she might be above such things unlike her fellow pilots. While made quite defensible, her IS unit is also a bit overspecialized in melee combat; ranged weapons are there, but her fighting style can be rather inflexible compared to most 3rd Generation IS's. Personal Weapon: Infinite Stratos Tartan Heart (See Earth Mecha topic for more) Bio: The proud daughter of a Scottish family that self-stylized themselves as new-age nobility (a much more common practice since the rise of Infinite Stratos and war economy in European cultures, particularly in the United Kingdom), McKenzie Gallacher was raised to be cultured and proud, yet somehow the grace of a noble doesn't seem to stick with her for very long. Her family having been old and influential within the UK (and particularly the Scottish Highlands, a heritage they are proud of), Kenzie was brought up into the life of wealth and taste. And as the world was rapidly changing, the old family sought to grow to even greater heights. Recognizing their daughter was developing quite the competitive streak and becoming engrossed in athletic games and sports, they collectively decided to try their luck and see if she could have an aptitude for Infinite Stratos. Kenzie was ever-eager, at the time hoping to be good at anything she could get her hands on. And at quite the young age, the United Kingdom had shortlisted her among the most promising of potential representative candidates. Kenzie paid no heed and continued to live her life. She developed a lot of skills a girl of nobility would do, revolving around being learned and cultured, including language studies, debate classes, bagpipe lessons, and cooking good, hearty food. In recent years, as the UK approached having a new Representative Candidate spot open for the Infinite Stratos Academy, media buzz started to grow and speculate who would be the one chosen. After some digging around aptitude scores, it was discovered that the noble but humble girl from Inverness was high up there against the internationally famous Cecilia Alcott of the prestigious Alcott family. The public started eating it up as a gripping story, and in the process Kenzie started to become the subject of national pride for Scotland. While there would have certainly been a lot of pressure on most, Kenzie had the fortitude to embrace this new status and gladly accepted the challenge of trying to become the United Kingdom's Representative Candidate. While she and Cecilia never met face-to-face, already Kenzie had her first great rival. However, the underdog story the media created was crushed when, shortly after a shocking tragedy that left Cecilia the lonely heir of the Alcott family's wealth and legacy, the Englishwoman was chosen to represent the United Kingdom, and she would be further groomed into one of the faces representing the sovereign state. Kenzie was crestfallen, and while she'd never disparage any of the positive attributes Cecilia had that would make her a great representative, she couldn't help but feel hard done by. So on her behalf, the people started a campaign to try and have Cecilia Alcott represent England in order to have Scotland be represented under its own banner, and not the UK's. The furor was considered shocking by most, as it was considered frugal to have the United Kingdom represented as a whole given the finite number of IS cores in the world. Some people were going as far as calling Scotland's desire for self-representation "Brexit 2.0." There was much worry that Wales and Northern Ireland could follow suit, though a lack of candidates with high aptitude halted those worries. Eventually Scotland won its campaign, unanimously endorsing Kenzie as its representative. Kenzie was thrilled to have a new challenge. Eventually getting into the prestigious IS Academy, she knew there were was going to be a new world of influence for her country... and it was going to provide more opportunities to have fun on the global scale. 10/9/2018 #3 |
![]() ![]() Name: Tsubasa Fujou Race: Human Age: 15 Gender: Female World of Origin: Earth Nature of Powers: Blazer. The core of her power is the Transference of mana, physical states, and emotions. This allows her not only to reflect mana based attacks, but also absorb and copy them. She can also transfer wounds from herself to others or take on others wounds to heal them. Appearance: Tsubasa is a darker skinned girl of average height with short black hair with bangs that cover her dark green eyes. She styles herself to deliberately be plain and unassuming looking, despite what could be considered a well developed figure. She refrains from wearing anything flashy or unique, all in an effort to avoid notice. On rare occasions, in private or with only a few close friends, she will pull her hair up a bit and wear nicer clothing, showing of that she is actually a fairly cheerful girl with a smile. Personality/Quirks: Tsubasa, in public, feigns a somewhat cold and distant personality in order to keep people at a distance and in an effort to trick them into underestimating her. She is by no means antisocial, but she has something of a lack of faith in people due to her upbringing in a poor household. This was only compounded when she was started attending Hagun Academy, being the first in her family to ever have Blazer powers While not everyone joined in, a fair few people gave her flak for this and she largely resolved to make her own way through alone, striving to be the best despite being ranked C. She is incredibly resolute, confidant, and self sufficient. While she purposefully distances herself, she is in general a friendly person when she determines a person is worth being nice too and likes to tease her friends a fair bit. Talents/Strengths: Tsubasa is a highly disciplined individual who has endeavored to do as much on her own as she could without relying on others or her powers. Because of this, she has become a highly skilled solitary fighter and student. Her powers themselves however, because of their nature, have given her a very high tolerance for pain and a highly empathetic nature towards others. All this combined makes her strongest skill the ability to read both an opponents moves and intentions. Weaknesses/Shortcomings: Her drive to prove herself can, quite frequently, lead her into situations where she takes on more than she can handle. She also frequently has the habit of, at least initially, being confrontational with people she doesn't know. Occasionally she takes her teasing of friends to far, which is more a personal feeling of failure than one towards others. Personal Weapon: The twin scissor blades Ariadne and Anansi, a pair of tanto sized scissor halves which combine into the Scissors of Fate, Ishtar. Bio: Tsubasa was born to a poor Okinawan farming family and, for most of her childhood, was schooled at home or in a very small local school. She had few friends and more often than not spent her free time working the farm at home, this along with her location gave her the darker skin complexion she has. Also because of this, she kept herself physically fit. Partially, this isolation was in fact due to the fact that early on her parents found she had the power to transfer her emotions and, more worryingly, injuries to people. This, needless to say could pose a danger to others. When she was a bit older and could understand what her powers could do a bit more, she was given gloves and was able to go to school some of the time. Being the first in her family line to have Blazer powers, her parents and she herself were determined to see her succeed as one so that she could perhaps provide a better life for her family. Being a young girl of ten, the idea of becoming a ninja drew her in heavily because she found them so cool. So, she researched them and their training on the internet. While having no formal teacher, he research, dedication, and sheer force of will and determination, her self training produced amazing results. However, immersing herself on the methodology saw her slip into a frame of mind driven by fantasies of being one in truth. In other words, in middle school, she became a Chunbiyo. It was at this point she really began her isolationist tendencies, as she was in truth picked on a lot for her families status and her odd personality. By the time she was set to move on to highschool, her Chuni phase had passed, but her reputation was solidified and she had come to just assume she was on her own in things. The difficulty now lie in the fact, to receive proper renown as a Blazer, she needed to attend one of the special high schools. Luckily, Hagun Academy was open to the public. And so, although she had placed high enough to rank C, she was effectively starting at the bottom of the barrel in the reputation department. She wasn't going to let that hold her back. 10/13/2018 #4 |
![]() ![]() Mist Cassandra Alisa Rosalina Marcia Sophia Adrianna Theresa Mia Melissa Montoya Human Female 17 years old Earthling Nature of Powers: Chi Appearance: At five-foot-nine, Mist has grown into a fine young woman, somehow retaining a cheerful, gentle, innocent appearance while working out her body to get the most curves out of it as possible (she attributes it to not being a die-hard dieter.) She has long orange-red falling just past her shoulders with bangs gracing her eyebrows in front just above the same blue eyes her sister has. She often wears a bright smile, pronouncing the soft freckles around her dimples. Her normal IS uniform fits the standard for the most part, except for swapping for white leggings or thigh-highs, while her casual outfits tend to vary wildly. Her IS pilot uniform on the other hand is not the standard school outfit. It is a full wetsuit, only separating at the thighs and neck for the head and legs to poke through, with a set of thigh-length boots. All of this is colored in red, white and blue, and is patterned after the Star-Spangled Banner. Personality: Mist wears her heart on her sleeve both in front of and off the cameras. She has a strong moral compass for herself, causing quite a few people to be shocked at how genuine her 'on-screen' persona is to her personality. Overly kind and with a burning desire to help others however possible, Mist tends to put the needs and desires of the many over her own. Her logic for this is that she doesn't have a strong dream or future planned out for herself because she already is living a dream. By that thought, she sees the 'right thing' to do would be to help others accomplish their own dreams. While on the surface she may seem superficial, she has become a rallying point for American nerd culture thanks to her own likes and hobbies. Mist was shy of her love of speculative fiction and various animated works until her status as America's representative brought an incredible amount of media attention to her. This caused Mist to hold a policy of transparency on and offline regarding her interests. Whether it's her doing reviews on media or airing her thoughts on situations, talking and offering to help others on social media or having discussions with detractors, she holds herself to be as honest and truthful as possible and trying to give the courage others need to do the same. All of this is born of how Mist looks at herself as an icon for her country. In her mind, she's less a celebrity or an athlete for America, but a Heroine chosen by and for the people. With as much honor and joy she feels for such a thing comes an incredible amount of responsibility. She strives and struggles to not just live up to that responsibility but embody the ideals America stands for even if her country fails to do so itself. She seeks a world where everyone can freely be themselves without having to fear what others think or feel about them and will call out and crack down on those that discriminate or bully others. Mist herself holds no love for war or battle; she finds sending people to fight and die in a world that has managed to avoid massive conflicts deplorable. At the same time though, she values the people who dedicate their lives in the military to protect the peace as well as the sacrifices that were made in getting the world to this point. After all, both her mother and late father both served proudly. Despite all that, she absolutely adores skirmishes and duels in an IS, as she sees that as honorable combat with little risk of someone dying. This makes it difficult for her to fight to the death or with lethal force if she's aware of her opponent being a living person. However, Mist's ideal of a hero is someone that 'will do what needs to be done' - if lives are on the line and the only alternatives put them in danger, Mist will follow that mantra. Talents: Mist is incredible when it comes to empathizing and bonding with people, mainly due to how open she is regarding herself. That combined with a strong moral code and refusing to define a person by their actions alone causes her to be easy to relate to if not charismatic or infectious to others. She's open to trying various things and keeping an open mind and tries her best to accept criticism in various forms. In combat, Mist has some difficulty due to differing limitations but that causes her to strive even harder and pushes her to her breaking point. She cannot comprehend doing something half-heartedly; giving a task one-hundred percent is her MINIMUM standard. Shortcomings: On the other hand, this does cause Mist to burn out at points, despite her best attempts to power through everything from disinterest to fatigue and honest sickness. While she does enjoy relaxing and isn't what one would describe as a workaholic, Mist's schedule and standards sometimes cause her to take on a behemoth of a workload with little time to unwind in the process. Mist also has an incredibly difficult time dealing with horror and things of that nature - she's squeamish when it comes to seeing someone being killed or hurt in gruesome ways. Part of this is one of the reasons she has a hard time fighting people with lethal weapons and will aim for a KO or a disabling shot rather than a victory. Bio: Mist was born in Jersey City, effectively being in one of the largest concentrations of people on the planet. Exposed to all different manner of cultures and influences at a early age, she grew to have her own peculiar tastes at an early age, something that even her baby sister could see. Though she was certainly bullied and made fun of for different eccentricities (from wanting to be the princess/damsel in distress in some playground games to being thought of as a nerd for liking comics aimed to boys), she at least had access to different communities of people with similar tastes to endure. While she didn't enjoy being picked on, she was willing to accept the fact that it wasn't going to change anytime soon. However, fate would prove her wrong when she decided to try out for a competition for being chosen to be America's first IS representative candidate. At the time, the technology was still in its infancy and the USA had decided to treat it as 'reality show meets Olympic Sports' rather than anything else. When the show started in New York, it came as a shock to most that they would find someone as compatible with it as Mist, the 118th girl to try, so early. This included Mist herself, who didn't think something so fairytale-esque would happen to her. When reality caught up to her though, Mist, along with her parents and sister Melody, decided to try to pursue this goal of winning the contest regardless of if anyone else was found to be compatible. Mist approached it by following the advice of her parents and soon-to-be IS developer and uncle figure Howard Stark - to be as genuine as possible to convince everyone that she was not only the best suited to operate it, but the most mature and behaved to represent America. Using her loved stories of superheroes as inspiration, her 'persona' reflected her seeing this as a privilege and responsibility to do what she could for the country, something that the audience and public ate up. Her world, along with Melody's, was turned upside down during the Outer Heaven incident, or rather, the fallout of it. Thankfully, her parents survived the ordeal despite being on the front lines, but they came home with one extra person. A person with… real life bunny ears. This would be her newest sister, Violet, who insisted with such fervor that she came from another world Mist had no choice but to believe her. Mist grew up to live in the moment of everything, reacting on what she knew and what her instinct was telling her regardless of what might happen. Perhaps this was why she seemed to be so unperturbed by certain situations. When her IS was locked due to an… "altercation" with one Tabane over Violet, she instead went to the Starks to find a way around it (and adopt vigilante crimefighting in the process). When her father died on the job a year prior, she seemed to shrug it off, instead throwing herself at harder and harder challenges both under her mentor Ken, with her partner Tony, and in school. This caused a drift between herself and Melody to form, one that seems justified by Mist's almost blasé response to her disappearance. Underneath it all, there's a storm of raging emotions and pain, something Mist knows she can't deal with if she stops to think about it. There's nothing she's capable of doing at the moment that will fix anything, so all she can do is train and become better in hopes someday she might be strong enough. Crafts/Specials: Tornado Dragon: A variant on Ken Master's Shoryuken, focusing on multiple punches during an ascent for extra airtime and to further stun her opponent. Eagle Dive: Another variant, this time on Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku, which is intended to hook around her opponent and draw them towards and below her. Is often chained with her Tornado Dragon to set up for her next moves. Lumberjack: A double-axe handle style punch, brought down with all of her weight from the air and ki channeling throughout her body for enhanced strength. A risky move as it relies on a jump and is thus telegraphed. Sawed Off Magnum: Mist's… "attempt" at a Hadouken, turned from a failure to its own technique. As she has trouble controlling precise amounts of her ki as it leaves her body, Mist is wont to expel as much of it as fast as possible from a thrown fist. This creates a short but very wide wave of ki to rush forward, catching and stunning everyone in its blast radius as if they suddenly slammed into a concrete wall – or it slammed into them. S Craft/Super: Berserker Eruption: Less a true technique in its own right and more a proper chain of her various techniques, starting with Tornado Dragon, followed by Eagle Dive, then a series of downward Sawed-Off Magnums. If done properly, the opponent should be thoroughly stunned long enough for Mist to deliver a maximum power Lumberjack, which creates an erupting geyser of ki a moment after impact. 10/14/2018 . ![]() ![]() Tenma Hoshino Race: Artificial Human Age: 5 Gender: Female World of Origin: Earth Nature of Powers: Blazer (Light) Appearance: Tenma is as many feet tall as she is years old, with a body that's deceptively mature and developed. More than a few times she's been mistaken as being fifteen, perhaps even twenty years old, due to being grown to maturity in a vat. She has brown-black hair tied into childish twin tails that run down to her ankles, and bright amber eyes proportionally large compared to her peers. Her most defining characteristic is her pair of white, feathered wing-like appendages, which seem to be able to change size from cherub stubs to a full eighteen-foot wingspan at her whim. Personality: Despite appearances, Tenma is in fact a child and behaves as such. She is insatiably curious about the world and shows a high deficit in attention when surrounded by new things. Due to living at the headquarters for Delta Red for most of her life after her "birthday" (considered to be when she left her vat), most everything falls under this category. People are by far the most interesting subject to her, and of those, Blazers like herself (though she never thought of herself as one). She's taken an interest in artistry and shows some talent with crayons and colored pencils beyond that of her age level. Few things were hardwired into Tenma; as she was intended as a spare body by her creators, most instinctive tendencies were suppressed at both the chromosome level and through developmental conditioning while in the vat. She is a natural omniglot, able to understand and converse in every language with fluency, which promoted communication as a skill. Her other major, heightened instinct, is to fight. She was intended to be a vessel for the soul of M. Bison, and as such, this trait was encouraged. As a result, she is naturally gifted at combat, and cannot help but want to engage others in competition or scuffle to see where she measures up, even if it would otherwise go against a bigger goal. Talents and Shortcomings: Tenma readily absorbs knowledge like a sponge, and while engaged, makes for an excellent listener. She's easily enraptured in stories and tales and will often start drawing what she's being told to try and better envision it. However, it's also easy for her to get bored and move on to something else, often at the drop of a hat. She regularly exercises her strength and magic, as well as her ability to fly with her mana-gathering feathered wings, often forgetting that she's supposed to show restraint or that others simply can't do what she can. Also, don't let Tenma cook. Ever. No exceptions. Personal Weapon: [RECORDSCRATCH] "Light my path and become the sword to smite evil, Tetragrammaton!" Personal Weapon: Tetragrammaton Tenma's Device is unique in that it takes the form of a sword of rainbow light, multiple curving strands of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet in a long, narrow shape. It is roughly the size of an arming sword, slightly large for Tenma's size, but weighing absolutely nothing. Much like other swords of light from popular stories, it has unrivaled cutting power, using heat and magic to piece through any mundane material as if it were paper. It should be noted that while most of Tenma's enhanced capabilities, such as her physical and magical skill are to be expected given her creation, she has monstrous mana reserves. In a battle of attrition, Tenma has the clear advantage, growing stronger over time due in part to her wings. The feather-like materials are intended to be mana intakes, pulling the ambient energy collecting through either magic use or over time into her own body. This enables Tenma to freely manipulate her light powers with little to no repercussion and makes her almost impossible to defeat if left to her own devices for too long. This mana-feeding ability is also why Tenma seems to not require things such as food or water or air to function, as long as there is a decent amount of magical power present. Biography: Originally designed as an optional body for Shadaloo leader M. Bison, the lab where she was made deep inside Hokkaido was raided five years prior by an elite international group known as Delta Red. Tenma was already aware when the raid happened, and as such, was taken by Delta Red to her own facility where she was released. Due to her country of "origin," and DNA tests showing traces from multiple families known for Blazers from within Japan, they decided on giving her a Japanese name. Her surname, Hoshino, was derived from her tank number labeling her as a "Hoshi No.," while Tenma was something she picked herself because she liked the ring of it. Identities were forged, numbers were made, and Tenma slowly became a citizen with all of the information and documentation it implied… while still somehow getting around the two large wings on her back. Despite proper papers, she was kept homeschooled and lived in Delta Red's headquarters, safe from those who created her, only leaving to help on various missions. However, her powers as a Blazer were not something that could be easily mastered or trained there. Knowing that some day Tenma would have to leave her "home" and start living in the world, the group worked with various schools until they found Hagen Academy a suitable place for Tenma to study. While there's a nervousness about letting their charge, their surrogate child out, it's the kind of exciting feeling of seeing their child off to school for the first time. 11/9/2018 #6 |
![]() ![]() Name: Johann Aleksander Race: Human Age: 16 Gender: Male World of Origin: Earth Nature of Powers: Blazer Appearance: At 6' tall, Johann tends to stand out compared to his more predominantly Japanese peers due to his height alone. If that wasn't enough, then his short white hair and yellow eyes, giving him a mysterious, mystical look. Though aside from that, the way he carries himself and appears otherwise is remarkably plain compared to his physical traits. He'll often be found in the typical Hagun uniform, and won't get too adventurous outside of that. Of course in non-school scenarios, he'll change up his attire. Often used to cold weather, Johann usually wears plain clothing that's practical, like jackets and cargo pants. He doesn't have many brands or emblems he's particularly fond of and keeps his looks simple. He doesn't really wear things to impress people. Personality/Quirks: Ever a Vermillion patriot, Johann tries to embody the ideals of being a knight, though an oddly modern take on it. While not overly polite and can perhaps even be cold at times, he still maintains himself as a servant of the people and helps those in need. Typically reserved, noble, and dignified, he believes that his behavior reflects the attitudes and views of his homeland towards foreigners. For that reason he tries to maintain the sense of calm and collectedness. In battle he fancies himself a quick-thinking strategist, able to analyze the situation. Serious, no-nonsense. That being said, around a select few including the one he serves and protects, Stella Vermillion, the truth is that while some of that reservedness is genuine, it's not all intentional. Rather awkward and not experienced at socializing (but not shy), he doesn't speak much so as to make accidentally make himself look like a fool. Normally curt and professional in most circumstances though, a more pronounced personality still comes out with his friends from the Vermillion Kingdom, as well as others he makes along the way. Still adorably awkward and wearing his heart on his sleeve, he'll sometimes say things in spite of the consequences if he feels confident enough in the people around him. While supportive and constantly on Stella's side, her antics and loud personality do embarrass him; while he'd claim it's because it might give people wrong impressions of the Vermillion Kingdom, in truth he's still too shy to exhibit any sort of strong-willed personality like that himself. Talents/Strengths: Military training, swordsmanship, scholarly knowledge... A lot of perks required to safeguard the heir of a kingdom. Johann has gone through much training before entering high school to prepare himself as a personal knight to the Vermillion family, and while he doesn't have experience on his side, the lessons in his youth are still there. His sword style resembles fencing, albeit with a bit more slashing to account for a heavier, flat blade. Not to mention his frame is quite sturdy and strong, though perhaps not to the fullest extent that some others around the world are able to reach. His Blazer abilities are really where his prowess can shine, in very effective albeit circumstantial ways. Weaknesses/Shortcomings: His awkwardness around people aside, his attitude and approach to things can be rather rigid if he doesn't have other people to voice their thoughts or opinions. In fact he also tends to shirk any offered sorts of leadership positions. He isn't up to the task of leading groups of people yet, often needing to fall back on someone else. While still strong and in great physical condition, he struggles with dealing against certain kinds of Devices, and other kinds of magic outside of Blazer technology. Technology perplexes him quite often, and he is a bit behind the times in some aspects. Personal Weapon: His Device is Niflheim. It takes shape of an estoc (a rapier-like sword) and while it's mistaken for having freezing powers, Niflheim actually slows down whatever it hits. For example, perhaps an opposing weapon feels heavier and slower when swinging, or if a person's limb is hit, it moves and reacts slower than the rest of the body. The ability can stack over time, and the longer a fight goes on, molecules themselves start slowing to a point where ice develops. If Niflheim is stabbed into the ground, it starts spreading ice from the center point, encompassing the ground which will inevitably slow the opponent that walks over it. While slow moving itself, if the battle is prolonged long enough and the clashing of weapons doesn't burden someone first, then ice spreading to their feet and preventing their movement certainly can. Ironically, though perhaps very logically, one of the best strategies to overcome this ability is to end the fight quickly. Also, Niflheim distinctly lacks any kind of ranged attack or defense, instead relying on a fighting style that beckons the opponent to physically clash, and if not, bide time and harrow them until the opponent has nowhere left to run when the ice spreads. Bio: Formerly an orphan of the Vermillion Kingdom, a young Johann Aleksander was given a second chance at life as a small boy when the ruling family of the Vermillion Kingdom directly intervened and decided to "adopt" orphans across the country to raise into public servants. Well known, famous, and beloved for the bond between royal family and citizen, they established an ambitious program meant to examine and find the potential for magic in new Blazers, or integrate people into the working class of society, all purely voluntary; a life of service to the House of Vermillion, a chance to life a meaningful life... or continuing to stay in the orphanage. It was an easy choice for Johann. Johann was never given a surname, and knows nothing of his past, but when the opportunity brought itself up, he jumped at the call. His surname is that of an older knight he looked up to, and hoped one day he could reach that level. It wasn't long until it was discovered Johann had a high aptitude and was able to materialize a device, and ever since then he shot up the ranks as a promising recruit destined for great things. As a youth he continued to prove himself and accomplish many a great things, winning U16 Blazer tournaments and making a name for himself along the way. But perhaps his biggest test was when he would eventually cross Devices with none other than the King of Vermillion's daughter, Stella Vermillion. Mesmerized, she was everything you'd expect of a Vermillion princess. Skilled, strong, powerful, and beautiful. Perhaps his own shy demeanor never let him pursue it seriously, but it was almost love at first sight in a way. While he was handily beaten by her, as their clash of fire and ice proved to be a horrid matchup, they ended up becoming unexpected friends and Johann finally found someone he was able to make a real emotional connection to. It wasn't that he never had friends before, but they were usually other military recruits or Blazers in training; usually, combat and professional pursuits were all that were on their minds. The Princess made him feel at ease, for the first time. And after a while, she wouldn't be the only one. Slowly but surely a social circle developed. Recently, Stella Vermillion was accepted as a student for Japan's Hagun Academy for Blazers following her exams. Johann was given a special promotion in light of this, becoming one of two personally assigned knights, who would escort and protect the princess while also being able to develop their own skills while at the academy. While a high honor, it was a little more than obvious they were chosen because Stella was already friends with them. Still, while he was quite shy, Johann was never one to shy away from responsibility. He was curious and looked forward to what new opportunities awaited, and how much he could prove himself and represent the Vermillion Kingdom in a whole new world. 1/13/2019 #7 |
![]() ![]() Name: Svetlana Vvulf Race: Cyborg Age: 17 Gender: Female World of Origin: Earth Nature of Powers: Cybernetic Enhancements - Heavily augmented to the point she is almost more machine than human, under her skin is enough weapons and machinery to defeat a small army. Appearance: 5'6 tall and a powerful swimmer's body, her supple limbs and toned muscles frame her figure, and a modest bosom and hips complete the image of a dangerous but beautiful young woman. Pale skin, long and wavy silver blonde hair, reaching to her back, with hollow green eyes. Her IS piloting suit is a simple black leotard with silver leggings and elbow length gauntlets, swept spike-like antennae jutting from her temples. Personality/Quirks: Cold would be an understatement. Svetlana is as unapproachable as she is pragmatic and consumate, almost automaton like in her motions and manners. She speaks plainly with almost no filter, she opinions and thoughts on her peers only held back the most basic rules of decorum. There are hints of snobbery and sarcasm is there when Svetlana is forced to engage in lengthy conversations. She is at least earnest in all things, with very little reason to lie or plot against anyone… At least intentionally. The tragedy of it all is that the real Svetlana is buried under a mountain of programming, both in mind and circuits. A mere pawn of Doom in his bid to outstrip everyone else in the world of technology. What he says is Svetlana's modus. Talents/Strengths: Her's a programmed prowess coded by the most brilliant and ruthless mind of her generation, and the training she has been put through has made her a dangerous combatant in and out of her IS core. If she feels she does not need to overwhelm her enemies with sheer volume of firepower, then she settles with pummeling them into the ground with her bare, mechanical hands. Svetlana has no prejudice nor fear of death, and this makes her an immaculate warrior. Weaknesses/Shortcomings: Being Doom's puppet has rendered Svetlana almost completely devoid of her initiative and free will. Every tactical decision she makes is actually Doom's defined set of routines and protocols he programmed into her. If ever severed from Doom's control in any way, Svetlana is as helpless as a lost child.Personal Weapon: The Doom IS Core - As Latveria's IS representative and Doctor Doom's showpiece in the competitive market, Svetlana's IS gear, The Doom Set, reflect the incomprehensible genius and outrageous arrogance of Latveria's master. Stunningly sleek and blade like compared to the hulking, angular designs of her colleagues, the Doom Armor sports a simple cuirass, black leotard, and featureless iron grey visor helmet. From hardpoints on the back of her cuirass are two "wings" that are composed of two multijointed arms that end in two disc like ion thrusters that allow flight and agility. The oversized arms are two jointed blades that end in claws, and the leg augments are sleek, simply blade like wings. In each arm is a powerful quantum reactor, powering an ion cannon hidden in each claw that fire sustained beams of power energy. Quantum Augmentations - She is her greatest weapon, underneath life-like synthetic skin are enough weapons to wipe out an entire military company. Hidden under the panels of her right arm is an ion cannon not unlike those of her IS Core, albeit with power outputs of a much smaller scale, but no less dangerous to the unprepared. In her left arm, out of a panel just under her forearm, a is an emitter for an energy blade that extends to a whole two feat. In her legs are much a less conventional arsenal; hidden in her heels are spouts that double as flamethrowers and as jet thrusters, so she can either achieve flight…. Or burn a target alive. Bio: Everything up until her private meeting with Dr. Doom concerning the IS Academy is a haze. Svetlana recalls little of her own past or family. What she can remember are glimpses into a life of poverty, war, and suffering, and Doom's ever present iron mask looming over her. She hears his words and reads his protocols across her vision. In his own words, that she recalls exactly, Svetlana is to be his representative in the Infinite Stratos at the Academy. To show the world the technology of Latveria first hand and to remind how the rest of the world is beneath them. Her augmentations will put her above her peers, if they could called that, and the skills that have been imparted on her through her training will be second to none. After that brief exchanged, Svetlana was prepared and shipped to Japan, as the IS representative of Latveria and Dr. Doom. 2/11/2019 #8 |
![]() ![]() Name: Motoi Shio Race: Cyborg Age: 16 Gender: Male World of Origin: Earth Nature of Power: (Blazer) Technomage- Motoi has the ability to bend and mold technology, metal and machines to his will. These power in its imperfected state activated to give him cybernetic limbs when he was disabled. Although he has cybernetics the areas at which they are located don't allow for much super-extraoridinary feats except for example: lifting slightly heavier things that humanly possible. Appearance: Motoi Stands at 5'9" with a toned figure, He has clear skin, violet straight hair reaching to his shoulders and grayish silver eyes. He has a cybernetic replacement for each of his four limbs. These cybernetics are made from a carbon alloy which give them a dark almost plastic appearance when visible. The cybernetics replace from his elbows to his palms with the fingers being his natural born ones and from the knees to the soles of his feet. He is often seen wearing his school uniform without the jacket top while the long sleeves are rolled up to his elbows. On day offs or after school his casual attire consists of long slacks usually dark colors along with some form of sleeveles shirt or short-sleeved jacket and undershirt of lighter colors. Just before bed he dons a short pants and stained tank top. Personality/Quirks: from a young boy Motoi displayed the nature of a caring person, often trying to help others out when they were in need. This nature tied together with a unexpected clumsiness caused him to be shunned by some as the misfortune bringer. The clumsy or misfortunes evens surrounding him caused him to mostly be alone except for his family, but even withou friends or appreciation he would always seek to help others. Although deep inside he yearned for companionship, he didn't let others know about it. He has a fondness for tinkering with old busted tech sometimes even using stuff like wrenches to splint wounded animals he came across. He carries with him a note book in which is notes via strikes how many times he helps or tries to help other, the amount of time he actually succeeds in helping without incidents, the number of incidents that do occur and the times anyone calls him something mean. To date his record this year is 300 attempts, 50 successes, 200 incidents and over 500 insults although some of these are more of a nickname being called he counts them because they still sting a bit. He uses these notes to uplift himself on a daily basis saying "1 Person helped successfully outweighs 20,000 insults that may come my way." Talents/Strengths:Motoi is great with tech, heavylifting and helping others out. Although he has a more muscular build, fitted with sturdy and heavy cybernetics, he is somewhat fast when moving in one direction. He is also a heavy eater and trustwothy person except when someone asks for help with something that is required to be done alone. He is well verse in tactics and quick thinking along with improv. Weaknesses/Shortcomings: He is not a very good swimmer due to the excess weight. He also has some issues when dealling with cold climates. His wiegth puts him at a disadvantage against quick-footed, and agile people. His limbs require constant mantaince tofunction properly which can at times be costly and time consuming. Personal Weapon: Gin-Ki- the blazer device of Motoi' it is summon by him calling out "Mechanize" either while placing both his palms onto the ground or folding his right arm as if gripping and pulling a cord. When summoning it while his hand are on the ground, the ground around him darkens slightly with strands of metal latching onto him to form beowulf styled armament. While summoning the latter way which is the more commonly done, the ground in front of him darkens before a mechanical wolf springs out to follow his commands. When summoned either way the device is capable of entering both modes at Motoi's command. Gin-ki Modes: Beast form- Gin-ki in this form appears very simply as a spiky bodied, about 3ft tall on all fours and 6ft on its hind legs only, slightly slimer than Motoi in width wolf robot with a visor covering its blue eyes while also appearing as wolf ears on the top of its head. Its tail has two settings the first being combined wth a claw arm at the end while the other is three separate cords with the left and right side having one each of the prongs from the claw and the middle having the other two. Arma form- when in this form Gin-ki's natural wolf figure wraps around Motoi to form armor and close combat weaponry. Gin-ki's limbs all split open then surrounds Motoi's limbs entirely from feet soles to hips and shoulders to fingertips giving them a more bewildered appearance by seeming to spike up the metal much like scale armors with claws at the tips of each finger, along his sides were sleek and thin metal for flexiblity while three strands of cords ran around his waist and shoulders, at the back of his waist the cords all twined together to form a tail with a four pronged claw at the end, on his head was the visor from the wolf face and finally on his back the shoulder blades and other excess metal from the wolf form gather to form two insect like wings with thrusters powered by mana hidden underneath. Gin-ki Abilities- Flight- This devices allows the users the ability to propell themself into the air by condensing mana then shooting it out of thrusters found on the back when it is in Arma Mode. Flight time may vary on the users remaining mana. Mode Change- gin-ki has two forms with neither being the true form specifically. Unlike with other devices that have multiple forms none of Gin-ki's two forms provides any boost over the other. Noble Arts- Pack Savagery- simpler version of Gin-ki in beast form are created to attack with. These copies may shred grip or even explode on their targets. Liquid Metal Mimicry- Gin-ki acts as a medium and allows the manifestation of liquid metal which Motoi forms into simple weapons like sowrds spears etc' these are mostly used as thrown weapons. Liquid Pack- Using the already thrown weapons Motoi returns them back to their liquid state then refoms them as copies of either himself or Gin-ki. Twin Wired-Daggers- Hidden in his cybernetic arms, these daggers(If one can call it such) come out of his wrsts usually to his palms unless rocketed off to whereever he targets them to. These maybe also spread open at the blades to form a makeshift grappler hook if need be. These daggers come out from the baccof his palms as handblades when Gin-ki is in arma mode. Bio: Motoi Shio as a young boy try to help others in need be they man, woman, child or even animal. When helping others though he woukd be plagued with the worst of luck causing small accidents much like the grocery bag break while helping to carry it for someone, or the crushing a toy he would be trying to fix. Although he seemed like a kind person. He would often be alone as people around him believed to be misfortuned which may spread to them. Around the age of 8 he was the victim of an accident that caused the amputation of both his legs from his knee and crushing his forearms from the elbows. Motoi lost most of his hope since he was now deemed to be unable to do anyhing for himself let alone anyone else ever again. A day like every other his caretaker sat him outside in his wheelchair to soak in the sunlight, this is where he saw a dog dragging its hind legs behind it as it moved along to dig for food in the trash. Motoi rose the upper parts of his arms which still functioned well as the lower half hung down, in tears frustrated with his helplessness and the inablity to help anyone he flung his arms down awaking a dormant power he never realized was his. This power caused the metal parts of his wheelchair to bend and wrap around his legs giving him at least limited mobility again. Motoi would hone this unknown skill of his until he recreated proper legs with as much usage as a regular leg connected to his nerves so he could control it effortlessly. By this time he had already used a similar method to mostly coat his arms in machinery that allowed them to function as well. With his now renewed body and would continue to help out others again. Around the age of 13 where he caught news of others with abilities like his own and a school for tempering, in a sense, those abilities. He enrolled in the school when he entered to appropriate age. 3/17/2019 . Edited 3/20/2019 #9 |
![]() ![]() Name: Clara Bridges Age: 16 Gender: Female World of Origin: Earth Nature of Powers: Blazer - Concept Manipulation: Falling Star Appearance: Aside from her red eyes, Clara is rather plain looking. She keeps her brown hair tied in a ponytail with a red ribbon and wears the Hagun Academy uniform. She also wears a black cape with a brooch of the Bridges family six pointed star emblem holding it closed. Clara stands at around 5'3. Personality/Quirks: Clara is an upbeat young lady. She is very friendly and kind, and is sort of like an older sister despite being the youngest in her family. That said, she feels the weight of her family's reputation, and constantly feels like she's got a long way to go before she's anything like them. She is a quick thinker, and very clever. Sometimes she shows jealousy towards others with more talent. Talents/Strengths: Clara is agile, and accurate with her knives. Weaknesses/Shortcomings: She is reliant on physical contact to create her spell circles, be it via her Device or her own body. She's very insecure and feels the weight of her family's reputation, as well as jealousy towards those with more talent than her. Bio: Clara is the youngest child in a family of prestigious mages. For generations, the Bridges family held high ranking positions among both Blazers and regular people alike. This extends to her elder siblings Berthold and Lucille, who have both become Mage Knights. Clara always looked up to them, and hoped she would be like them when she became older. Unfortunately, her magical potential wound up being only average, especially in comparison to her siblings. Her family still supported her, but she was disappointed in herself. And so, when she became old enough, she applied for various schools for Blazers regardless of location in order to train what she did have. She eventually got into Hagun Academy in Japan, and while it was far from where she lived, she accepted the entry. Personal Weapon: Pleiades - A Device that manifests as seven throwing knives. She summons it by making a sweeping gesture like she's pulling it out from under her cape. The individual blades can hover freely around Clara, and she can either throw them normally or move them telekinetically. Crafts:
