In the year 2008, the third energy revolution was ushered in by the Shizuma Drive, robots entered mass production, and the Infinite Stratos proved itself a weapon so powerful, the world agreed to keep it from entering military operation. All of these, and the magical power of Blazers and the spiritual realm ushered in a new era of prosperity.

But lurking in the shadows cast by the brilliance of this newfound hope, many great powers clash.

Big Fire. A secret organization whose only goal is total world domination, using advanced giant robot weaponry and extraordinarily powered individuals such as Blazers and psychics.

"HAIL BIG FIRE! ALLEGIANCE OR DEATH!"

Shadaloo, their rival led by the master of Psycho Power known only as M. Bison, and their branch the Drechsler Institute which researches all things magic for all of Shadaloo's nefarious ends.

The Patriots, a secret AI network which once controlled the entire world, dismantle four years ago only by many sacrifices over the past decades.

All these and many more vile villains and dangerous groups threaten the world daily, but despair not--many groups have formed to combat them: Delta Red, the English special forces unit which acts to combat Shadaloo, and the Ministry of Elemental Affairs which assists them against Shadaloo's magical forces. The Mage-Knights across the world, who act in support of the military and police with their Blazer abilities, and finally the International Police Organization's mighty Experts of Justice, at whose side is the greatest robot in the entire world: Giant Robo, commanded solely by a young man named Daisaku Kusama.

And even now, new heroes emerge, such as the mysterious Iron Man in New York city, wielding a power armor which is believed to threaten the superiority of the Infinite Stratos, and has the eye of Stark International's new CEO Obadiah Stane, as well as other sinister powers upon it, while new villains prepare to take center stage, such as the mysterious Mandarin, leader of the Chinese Tong society.

At the center of these conflicts are many, including Ichika Orimura, the first male to ever pilot an Infinite Stratos unit, whose adventure at the legendary IS Academy in Japan is only just beginning. Ikki Kurogane, failure Blazer progeny of a powerful Japanese family who nonetheless fights to surpass the hand which has been dealt him. Rock, robotic son of one of the two great pioneers of robot technology in the world Dr. Light, who has a special destiny about to come upon him. Tony Stark, who took on the identity of Iron Man to stop those who would invite injustice upon the world, including the current head of his deceased father's company Obadiah Stane. Gene Khan, the new Mandarin and head of the Tong society, hunting down the ten Makluan rings which make up his family legacy and hold great power. Weiß, a Drechsler Institute experiment who was rescued by Sweden's Elemental branch and is learning to live a normal life. Raiden, a cyborg mercenary who fights for those who cannot protect themselves. Daisaku Kusama himself, who promised the creator of Giant Robo, his own father, he would protect the world. And Ryu, a wandering martial artist who will become crucial in saving the world.

All of these extraordinary individuals and more will come together and decide whether the world lives or dies in....
