Second of all, I'd like to talk about claiming Zeus, and what to do with him in terms of the forum.

I will first say you can have two minor gods or one major God. You decide who, but right now I'm not going to be flexible on that.

Secondly, I will hear your idea about claiming Zeus, but my rationale behind not letting him be claimed is that I think it's unfair to provide one person with the rights to the king of all gods. I was only planning on having him make appearances as needed for events, not as a regular RP character.

Just wanted to put that out there.

Alright, I'm gonna start with a note that Zeus doesn't actually have the power of king as you may be lead to believe.

To be fair, Zeus isn't exactly stronger than the other gods, nor does he have control over the other gods. If anything, he's a President who's like 1% stronger than Poseidon and Hades, trying to reign in a bunch of crazy cucks.

seriously, in the myths, NOBODY obeys him. He mostly lets everyone do what they want, and makes very few executive decisions. When he does, it's often because none of the gods can agree on a final decision, and whenever he does it, it usually goes wrong and/or someone defies his decision.

To name a few:

1. Aphrodite was beautiful and everyone wanted to bang/marry her. To make sure that nobody could get jealous and to make sure nobody could fight over her, Zeus forced her to marry Hephaestus and nobody else. (This resulted in her cheating on Hephaestus and instead banging Ares with the most famous cuck of Greek Myths)
2. Hades kidnapped Persephone and fed her something from the underworld, then claimed that because she did so, she couldn't leave(which is bs btw). Demeter was like "no screw you i want my daughter back" so Zeus decreed that Hades would be allowed to have Persephone for half the year while Demeter could have her in the other half. (This resulted in Demeter eating a human boy by accident)
3. Tethys the sea nymph was beautiful and everyone wanted to bang/marry her, Zeus included. However, there was a prophecy that her child will be stronger than the father. Thus, Zeus decreed that she would only marry a human, and not any god. (This resulted in a lot of people dying in the Trojan War)
4. Zeus was asked by Athena, Hera, and Aphrodite: "Who is the most beautiful goddess". He told them to screw off and ask a human to make the decision. (THIS RESULTED IN THE ENTIRE TROJAN WAR BECAUSE HERA AND ATHENA BLAMED THE HUMAN)

Even when the other gods and goddess pick on humans, including his kids and his lovers, he sits back and lets them because he can't afford to have the gods and goddesses turn on him.

He has very little power, and only is able to use it when he is asked to make a decision by the other gods.

That's also how i'd RP Zeus in terms of his position as king. Someone who makes a final decision when no agreements can be made by the other gods, or if military action is needed.
