General

Respect

Okay, I know it's the Internet and we all hate everyone else's opinions, but please try to respect each other.

Discussing opinions is fine, but if true arguments arise you will be asked to take it to PM or simply drop it. I won't hesitate to lock the chat thread if it gets severe. Don't worry, though, I won't get mad if y'all are just messing around with each other.

Swearing

A friend of mine brought this up on her forum a while back, but please keep the swearing to a minimum. Maybe I'm a hypocrite because I swore in my opening sentence, but I try and keep it to a minimum in actual RP. Some people aren't comfortable with that as content and I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable here.

Let's start with just not dropping F-bombs everywhere and see what happens with that. Of course, PM me if you have any issues with this. I'm always happy to answer questions.

Spamming

Just...just don't. For everyone's sake.

Multi-Posting

In short, spreading a single RP post over multiple. I understand if you need to correct something on mobile, since that format does not have the option to edit, but don't let it happen too often.

Off Topic Conversation

Say you're RPing and want to ask the other RPer a question. That's fine, put it in parenthesis. I'd say four or five posts with this is fine, but anything higher needs to move to the chat.

Example of post with OTC:

[AelinAshryver216: Joseph sighed as he rubbed his temples, looking Mary dead in the eye. "So...you're telling me you're pregnant, still a virgin, and I'm not the father."

(But seriously, how?)]

Roleplay Specific

Godmodding

Maybe this is ironic on a forum based around Greek gods and mythology, but that still doesn't mean you have the right to control other people's characters without permission. You cannot kill or injure other characters automatically, and you cannot make your character invincible. Any God or goddess should take hits, and deal them equally, even though there is a difference in power between major and minor gods. You are not invincible, and honestly, the gods are immortal. We don't have to worry about the killing factor anyway.

Romance

Obviously relationships are fine, but all I ask is that you move intense scenes (coughcoughLEMONScough) to PM. Kissing and all that is fun but you will be asked to take it to PM if it's too heavy. Also, minor time skips are permitted just to get past the deed if you don't feel like actually drawing it out.

Grammar

Just make an effort to use proper grammar and never, under any circumstance, use text speak in an RP post. In chat, I couldn't care less, if I'm honest. It just looks trashy in RP and I am not about that.

Other

Anything else I can think of is just that your characters must be approved by myself or a mod, and be willing to make changes. Characters are capable of being overpowered, even if they're gods.

So, if you made it this far, congrats! Just reply with the phrase "I accept the rules of this forum" and you'll be good to go.
