Overall, where the gods and goddesses dwell. It's less like a palace and more of a broad community, so let your mind run wild as to where you could go here. Markets, homes, temples, etc....

Lena hummed softly as she strolled through the gardens of Olympus. She cradled a few lilies in one arm and used the other hand to hold the pear she had been nibbling at, simply enjoying the sights as her mother did who knows what with what God in particular.

She stopped a moment to curiously observe a bright red flower, reaching to pluck it in hopes of replanting it before she caught sight of the thorns.

"I'd be careful with that if I were you." Said a voice sitting atop a tall tree in the garden, sounding very amused with what he was watching.

The girl squeaked, jumping slightly as the lilies in her arms drifted to the ground. Her head snapped up, a golden blush on her cheeks before she caught sight of the source of the voice.

"I wasn't going to touch it..." She pouted, even though that was fairly untrue. She leaned down to pick up the flowers she had already picked, a few new blooms sprouting near her feet as she moved.

"Those lillies beg to differ." The figure jumped, and gently landed on the ground with help from his flying sandals. "That was an interesting blush by the way, and the flowers are just interesting... who are you exactly?"

Lena's blush, fueled by the golden ichor that ran through the veins of all the gods, only deepened further. She bent slightly into a bow, a few curls of strawberry blonde hair falling over her shoulder.

"I am Lena, daughter of the Harvest goddess." She said softly, clutching the lilies close to her as she offered the man a shy smile. "I apologize for not recognizing you. I don't often make it up to Olympus during the harvest season...simply too much work to be done."

"Oh, Ale's wife?" He asked smirking a little and then looks confused at the bow. "I'm Meres, messenger of the gods, as well as God of merchants, thieves, bandits, and other things I lose count not of." He blew a raspberry at his lack or remembering his own domain. "And you don't have to be so formal, I prefer being relaxed in this place. It is a garden after all."

She flushed suddenly at the mention of Ale, practically choking before she managed to get the words out.

"I've met Ale, for certain, but I can certainly say he and I are not wed!" She replied indignantly, before she lowered her voice a bit with a light blush on her face. "Though please...don't repeat this to mother. She does not know I have met him and I would not like to lose the chance at one of the few friends I could make..."

(At this point in time she has only just met Ale, though them being together is in the works on Comps' and my ends.)

(Oops. Guess I should've asked ')

meres cocked a brow.

"could've sworn... anyway, how come you don't want mom to find out?" This girl was already peaking his interests.

(It's alright. It was kind of funny to think of how she would react.)

Lena looked at her feet then, shifting uncomfortably.

"Mother...mother believes all men are ill intentioned and seek vile things. I don't quite agree, but...even so, I like Ale. He's kind, and I believe he'd be a wonderful friend." She bit her lip lightly. "I don't have many, none other than nymphs. It would be nice for a change..."

"Thought mom." Which begged the question: "who did she let under her sheets if she had you?"

Lena blushed further, lifting a lily in her hand and taking in the scent as a distraction.

"The King himself. Mother speaks little of it...I doubt she wanted it."

"He does have trouble keeping it in under his tunic." Despite what he said he was grinning. "Why do you have a higher opinion of us men then? Sound s like you really love her and look up to her."

She shrugged slightly, tugging on a soft curl. "I believe it's fairer to give all a chance despite what I am told. I've yet to meet a man who's proven me wrong."

Lena finally looked up then, a slight giggle escaping her as she met his gaze. "Though I'll admit I haven't met too many."

"I actually have an idea." He dropped down to sit on the grass of the garden and reached within his ouch strapped on his side. "How about we get to know each other over..." he gingerly pulled out a very large bottle then along with a pair of chalices. "We get to know one another over some ambrosia."

She hesitated a moment, unsure of whether she should join him before she decided to sit with him.

"Only a chalice." She said, rather determined in her tone. "Such will be enough for me."

"Fine." He held up two of the utensils, both surprisingly distinct from one another. "So who's do you want, Ale, or the moon goddess'?"

She gave him a deadpan stare before she cracked a smile, emerald green eyes fixating on him. "They're stolen, aren't they?"

1/5/2017 #18
Bill Friday

"So the innocent girl has a devious Side." He snorted tossing her a random chalice. "Yes, they are. I doubt any of them will be happy, but it's fun while it lasts."

She noted the emblem of the moon on the chalice in his hand and felt slight satisfaction in knowing luck had given her Ale's - she was to shy to admit her curiosity got the better of her just to know what his possessions were like. She was oddly drawn to him...

She turned her focus back on Meres and settled her flowers next to them on the ground, more still beginning to sprout around her - mostly the asphodel blooms she had always known.

"Harmless fun, at that. Simply a chalice gone, something they may never miss among the rest of their riches."

"Then again you never know how possessive they could be of something." He told her as he poured her a portion of the ambrosia. "I stole my older brothers cow herd, and he nearly beheaded me for it, but exchanging a lyre I was suddenly free of all accusations, and I even got to keep the cows."

1/5/2017 #21
Valhallan Rose

She raised a brow at him, watching the ambrosia fill her cup as she spoke. "I do believe an entire herd of cows is much harder to miss than a simple chalice."

1/5/2017 #22
Bill Friday

"What makes you say that?" To him, anything that can be stolen means it has value, and if it has value the owner can feel as upset as they want.

Lena pondered a moment, attempting to place her words.

"Think of it this way...a man is more likely to notice the loss of a hundred drachmas before he sees the loss of one. One is externally valued more than the other to the man, and he's likely to go searching for the satchel before he searches for the single coin."

She shrugged. "Herds of cows are intrinsically more valuable than a simple chalice. With what you could make simply by selling the products of them could buy you a hundred more chalices without a thought in mind." She blushed then, quieting and sipping at her ambrosia as she realized she was rambling.

Bill Friday

"Interesting..." for being the god of merchants he never put much thought into the value of things, ironically. "I like you the longer we talk."

1/5/2017 #25
Valhallan Rose

She blushed a bit more but offered him a smile, cradling the chalice in her lowered hands.

"I find your company quite enjoyable as well." Lena said, a few strawberry blonde locks of hair falling into her face as her voice took on a teasing tone. "I did not think one known as the God of thieves would be so refreshing in comparison to the never ending chatter of nymphs."

1/5/2017 #26
Bill Friday

"How many, and what kinds?" He asked suddenly gulping a mouthful of ambrosia. Mortal stuff may not be as good, but at least they had more variety.

(and off running an errand, be back later)

Valhallan Rose

(Might go to bed while you're away, so I can at least pick up tomorrow.)

"Oh, maybe half a dozen. Water nymphs, most often. Very chatty and very open about their personal encounters." She snorted slightly and sipped at the ambrosia again. "Mother didn't like that one bit."

1/5/2017 #28
Bill Friday

"What kind of friends does she approve of you having then?"

1/5/2017 #29
Valhallan Rose

Lena snorted. "Ones that encourage my eternal chastity. Ones that help her come closer to her dream of keeping me as her perfect maiden, hidden away from the eyes of gods and mortals alike."

She twirled a lock of hair as she sighed, her gaze slightly unfocused. "She wishes to keep me a bird in a gilded cage, but...I can't help but dream of flying."
