Remalze is home to many different species throughout the world. Many were formally ground dwellers that changed with the surge of the Rem during the Great Renewal. In total, there are 10 races who call the world of Remalze their home.

  • First, we have the Nu-men, descendants of what was once mankind. The Nu-men are similar to humans but with a few different features. Their ears are pointed like the elves in old human legends. Their skin ranges from a tan color to shades of red, orange, and gray depending where they are raised. The Nu-man have long life spans and can live up to 700 years if they are healthy enough.

  • Second, we have the Bells, descendants of what once were the butterflies of the world. The Bells are an elegant but carefree race of people. They appear human in shape except for their dark black eyes, skin ranging from black to light gray, and lack of ears. They still have hair strangely enough but it tends to make the magic color pattern of the butterflies of old.

  • Third, there is the Imma, descendants of the earth's Giraffes. Like their ancestors, they have great height on their side, the shortest of them only being 7 ft tall. They have a yellow color to their skin and brown spots like their ancestors and also only feed on vegetation. They are usually kind souls and prefer to live peaceful lives of migration, staying in large groups only straying when they find a mate.

  • Fourth, there are the Wekki, descendants of the earth's chinchillas. The Wekki are a shy species, keeping mostly to themselves. They are small, usually, no bigger than 3 feet tall and have a more human-like appearance with only ranging hair colors of black to gray to brown. When they befriend someone they tend to cling to them, seeing that person as their protector. Wekkis trust those who they cling to more than anyone.

  • Fifth there is the Ahbor people, descendants from the beetles of the ground and sky. The Ahbor people are quite an interesting bunch. They appear mostly human except for shells on their backs that hide their insect wings. They come in many human skin colors and their shells almost any color at all. They are a warrior heavy race but also quite friendly to those they meet.

  • Sixth we have the Nettle people. The Nettles are descendants of the wolves of the land, strong and fast, excellent hunts and tacticians. These traits followed them making them one of the most militant and powerful races on all of Remalze. They have a human-like appears except for their tails and ears and are completely meat eaters, unable to digest vegetables at all. While strong and stoic, the Nettle will attach themselves to a single mate for life, being very loyal to that one mate.

  • Seventh we have the Zunza people. The Zunza are descendants of the zebra of Africa and are steeped in ancient cultures of the old world. Many Zunza choose to beRem shamans, learning the ways of Rem and studying it while remaining respectful of Gaia. The Zunza have black and white striped hair with brown or black skin and tend to be very modest but kind to travelers. Never mistake their kindness for weakness though.

  • Eighth there are the Vil people. The Vil are descendants from the snakes of the world, charming, alluring and dangerous. The Vil appear human completely aside from their reptilian eyes and scaled skin. They vary in color of their skin and some Vil still retain the poison of their ancestors. They are a secret people and hide their emotions on their poker faces but when they open up, they can be found to hide quite a bit.

  • Ninth in our line up is the Flin, descendant from the squirrels of the land. The Flin are a very chipper race, always adventurous and looking for fun and friends. The traits that make them stick out are their large fluffy tails. Flin tends to always love to travel and their key trait is their ability to move through the forest so naturally.

  • Finally, our last, but certainly not least race is the Mow, descendant from the tortoises of the land. The Mow are an interesting race as they live the longest out of all species. Some still exist from the Renewal so the true lifespan of a Mow is unknown. What makes them stranger is that after full maturity their aging halts so it may be impossible for them to die of age. The Mow have been around forever and have seen so much that they have a great wisdom about Rem as a whole.
