This game has ALWAYS been fun for me. XD Basically, people will give out little prompt ideas that can jog a lil plot bunny out of a few of us, and everyone contributes! :D Take any suggestions, leave any, what have you-- have fun~!
Taking: I have none to take, of course, being the first poster. XD
Giving: "Did you get that thing I sent you?"
It was surprising how many things in his wardrobe matched his new kilt.
"I know what you're thinking, but it's not true."
"How many licks does it take...?"
My first memory involved a car, a puppy, and a rubber duck.
"Please, just one more glass?"
He doesn't come home anymore.

I'm strangely intrigued... This does sound like a lot of fun, though, so I think I'll jump in if no one minds. X3
Taking: "How many licks does it take...?" (Because that's just begging for someone to come up with an insane story!)
Giving: As the smoke curled from the end of the gun barrel...
Some things are better left unsaid.
Ask yourself if this: What if those whom we deem insane are truly the most intelligent of us all?
Definition of an awkward moment? One you wished never happened.
...knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried.
How does it feel when the girl next to you...
All my friends have a ring on their finger.
Anyway, my coffee's gettin' cold...11/6/2008 #2

Mage Approved! This is a very nice idea, I just didn't have a reason to post here until now.
See, I saw one of these prompts, and it hit me. The perfect opening for my next bit of story. I raised my hands in the air, cried out INSPIRATION! in the proper dramatic tone, and then tried to find some prompts to add.
Anyway, Taking: Ask yourself this: What if those whom we deem insane are truly the most intelligent of us all?
Giving: They don't make things like they used to.
No one made a fool of him like that and got away with it.
No one has heard from him since.
And the winner is...
He then shook his head and laughed at his own stupidity.11/7/2008 #3
Waaaait... Let me try to get this straight. So when we take a prompt, we write a fic on it. Then do we post the story or chapter it helped, or is that optional?
And can we take previously given prompts or do we have to take one from the last poster?11/7/2008 #4
You can take any you want, and optional. :3
Giving: "Procrastinating implies that I'd actually get around to doing it."
"Why didn't you tell me...?"11/7/2008 #5
|Mage the Observer
And I don't think that you really need to write a whole fic on one prompt, although if you can post where you put them it'd probably be nice. What I'm currently working on isn't fanfiction though, so it's kinda out of the question for me.11/7/2008 #6
Man, I'm going to be using a lot of these prompts, I'm sure. They're all interesting.
Taken: All my friends have a ring on their finger.
Given: This is going all wrong.
"I don't want your pity!" She fumbled with her clothing.
S/he felt as though they could fly-- but that, of course, was short lived.11/9/2008 #7
Very nice idea. :D
Taken: He doesn't come home any more.
Given: "Yes, I'm free," she purred, fiddling with her wedding ring.
How do we get so mean?
"How much?"11/10/2008 #8
Baha, after taking about twenty minutes to figure out how to do this, I'm gonna actually participate. XD
Taking: Definition of an awkward moment? One you wished never happened.
Giving: Well, I'm never trying that again.
Why do these things always happen to me?
Why so serious?
Hell has no furry like a woman scorned.11/10/2008 #9
Taking: Well, I'm never trying that again.
Giving: Her hands flew to her mouth as she realized the horrible mistake she had just committed...
"He loves me, he loves me not..."
Why does she always do this to me?!
"Is it me, or am I getting dumber by the moment?"
Ooh! Cool!!! *pokes with a stick*
Yay, a liked idea! XD I like it too...but that's cuz it's not mine. X3
Taking: Why does she always do this to me?!
Giving: "If you're here, and she's there, then..."
"But if we go by your theory, then that means I'm dead."
"Oh," he piped up just as he was about to exit, "just one more thing."
The Sprites all nodded to themselves, drinking their tea.

Her bloodshot eyes looked ready to kill.
Of course, the bucket of water had to spill on her of all people.

They were exactly why she stopped dating: books.
"Sometimes I think you need a life."
Maybe if she would just talk more and think less, her boyfriend wouldn't be ignoring her again.
"I feel so cut-off without facebook--how will my family know I'm ignoring them if I can't even sign on out here?!"11/14/2008 #13
OMG. I have to take this one XD.
Taking: "I feel so cut-off without facebook--how will my family know I'm ignoring them if I can't even sign on out here?!"
