Hey Time! So I have the contender for the sickest, most horrific writing ever. I was talking about terrible fanfics with a Chipmunk friend of mine, and they directed me to an author who has all of the following in almost every story:

-Incest Sex Scenes

-Tons of Horrible OC's

-OCxCanon Sex Scenes

-OCxOC Sex Scenes

(Yes... all three in the same story...)

-Diaper Fetish

-Weight Gain Obsession (It's just odd...)

-Every story is completely out of canon

And no, this isn't a troll or a one time thing, he's been on the site for years and written dozens of stories and truly believes they are quality work, and will argue to defend them...

edit:

Oh... and no warning labels...

If you take the story so far out of the canon!universe that it's a new beast, there's no point in calling it fan fiction any longer. AU is AU, but at a certain point, AU becomes original fiction.

Oh... and no warning labels...

I don't want warning labels on stories. It ruins surprises.

Yeah... but some people don't want to be surprised by the story suddenly becoming about Alvin needing diapers at 17...

As open as I can, of course. Still don't like D/G.

Well...I guess what I was trying to get at is that everyone has their preferences, types of relationships they're okay with and others that they're not. Just like you don't like male x male, others get squicked out by incest.

If that makes sense.

@Simon: ...ew. The depravity of humanity really knows no bounds.

Yeah... but some people don't want to be surprised by the story suddenly becoming about Alvin needing diapers at 17...

I don't want to know anymore.

Of course. Hence my statement was qualified by the word "try". I don't have to like it to accept it - not in real life, at least.

That's when, if you don't like it, you stop reading and move on. It's like watching a series on the telly or a film at the cinemas - or even reading a book. You don't have to suffer through it.

Maintain legitimacy.

The one absolute key thing to maintaining power, which I have noticed in every single history course I've ever taken, is to maintain legitimacy.

I mean...what do phenotypes even have to do with anything?

To me personally? My pale skin means I burn rather than tan, so sun is not my friend. :/ To a few individuals, apparently my pale skin is reason to mock and belittle me and make wild accusations like saying that my pale skin is a *result* of my spending all my time indoors (with the implication that this is due to my being too much of a coward and a nerd to go outside) and not the *cause* of my spending most of my time indoors. *sigh*

I'm sick of seeing natural foods demonized for their high fat/cholesterol/whatever content

^

I hope people like that don't have kids.

again, ^

I hope they get along most of the time. ^_^

haha It's certainly not *most* of the time... :P Or maybe it is, and I just don't really notice. XD

There are already serious shipping wars over Korra

After having (just now) seen the first two eps myself, I can't say I'm surprised. Of course it's still pretty stupidly early to be jumping on a ship, but when did reason or logic ever come into any of this? :P

EDIT: What, no one's around to enjoy my long!post? Fudge this, I'm gonna play some more Dragon Quest.

/walks out in a huff

This made me lol.

I just...I just can't ever get behind an incest pairing.

^

I haven't read an incest!fic, so I could be very wrong, but I have a feeling that these sort of things are often written by people who have no idea what they're talking about.

I actually have...in more than one fandom. And, yes, most incest fics are most definitely written by people who have no idea what they're talking about. And I only say "most" because I haven't really read a whole lot of incest fics, not because I can actually remember any examples that were actually good. Of course it's something that could be written well, but like anything, that doesn't mean it actually is.

Though in TML's defence, I think he was joking.

I don't think he was.

Most of them are just written like a normal slash fic in my fandom

Now, that is weird. Every incest fic I've read in any fandom at least acknowledged the fact that the characters were siblings (unless it was an AU where they weren't really related, which is something else entirely), and that this at least *should* make it weird, even if it didn't really.

Only a little.

See? :P

/knows TML too well, apparently

incest pairings rarely work and when they do, they have to be set-up incredibly well.

Yes, THIS^ And like I said, I don't think I've actually read any that were done well enough to actually "work".

the #1 pairing in theWizards of Waverly Placefandom is an incest pairing.

As is the #1 pairing in Supernatural (unless it has actually been fully and completely and permanently dethroned by Destiel...). And probably at lest the top 3 in Game of Thrones. It's sort of a side effect of having most of the main characters siblings, I guess.

The whole...marrying one's immediate relatives to keep the bloodline pure just doesn't sit with me, y'know?

lol You must have issues with ASOIAF, then. :P (Parts of it anyway.)

Would that include Dumbledore/Grindelwald?

I friggn' love Dumbledore/Grindelwald! 8D

-Diaper Fetish

D:

Oh... and no warning labels...

*facepalm*

at a certain point, AU becomes original fiction.

^ though, I suppose where that exact point when that occurs might be up for debate.

I don't want warning labels on stories. It ruins surprises.

I agree to a point. For example, I refuse to warn for slash. But there are certain things that could really use warnings. Especially if the subject matter isn't being handled with any sort of sensitivity at all...

Ugh, yes. I've actually read some Wincest (not because I thought I'd enjoy it [which I didn't], but because I was curious...I tend to be far more curious than is good for me, and I also often intentionally read fanfiction that I know I'll hate). But yeah...Wincest is nasty. Especially when it's *underage* Wincest...

Ug.g.h.h.h.h No, just no. I was reminded how much I hate Wincest the other day because I was reading some fic alerts the other day and I was like "oh, I can take a short drabble of Wincest." Yf.g.g.g.h.h.

I'm so glad I have Destiel now.

Although, I did read a Sam/Dean/Gordon fic once, and it was actually really good. Still squicky, but tolerable. XD

Did you perhaps attend a high-school in a bigger city? Because I attended a high-school in a small town. :/ In fact, it wasn't even a "high-school" but a "secondary school" which was grades 8-12. Anyway, I guess it was just generally one of the most bigoted places on the planet.

I read a Sam/Dean/Cas fic once...it was horrifyingly bad. XD (Actually, to be more correct, it was probably a Dean/Cas/Sam fic...and I think there's actually a name for that: Wincestiel.) The idea of Dean/Cas/Sam doesn't necessarily have to be horrifying...but in this fic, well, let's just say that Dean was kissing Sam over Cas' shoulder...and leave it at that? XD

I went to highschool in Calgary, so...yes. XD That sucks. I guess it makes sense though, small towns populations can be somewhat narrow. :/

Blaaaaah. No. I think I read something like that too, and was just like "Braaaaain bleach, please."

Some people ship Sam/Cas. I...really don't understand that pairing.

"Braaaaain bleach, please."

lol Yeah, no kidding.

Some people ship Sam/Cas. I...really don't understand that pairing.

I don't ship it, but I understand it more than I understand Wincest. Or even Sam/Gabriel. Sam and Castiel at least actually know each other and like each other. Also, they are not brothers. :P Remember when Cas [spoilers] and Dean was getting drunk and watching anime porn and Sam was the one who [spoilers]? Well, that's an example of canon basis for Sam/Cas. Like I said, I still don't ship it, but I do understand it.

edit: It has come to my attention that this post might not make any sense whatsoever due to spoilers. :P Did you understand at all what I was referring to?

Um...no. The only scene I remember involving Cas and porn was the Pizza Man thing. Oh, wait...I think I know what you're referring to, but I don't remember what Sam says that makes Sam/Cas canon.

Iunno, it just seems to be like Sam and Castiel don't really...associate with each other a lot. Even when they're sharing screen time. Hell, Cas even says he likes Dean better. XD

3/27/2012 #5,996
Rosawyn

I don't remember what Sam says that makes Sam/Cas canon.

lol I never said it was canon. XD But he says, "I still think you're one of us." It's really a beautiful scene and says a whole lot more about Sam's character than it does about any shipping of any kind.

Hell, Cas even says he likes Dean better. XD

That he does. ^_^

I haven't read the backlog but I think I already need the brain bleach :-o. Goooood Tuesday morning :-o lol.

I woke up with about 2/3 of my new chapter of my Snape/Lily all ready to go in my head. I love it when chapters just glomp on you when you wake up in the morning. :)

Edit: not a whole lot of backlog but very topical.

I am appalled and saddened by the racism regarding the Hunger Games, and in the news lately in general. :( society has come a long way but has miles to go.

From the text I gathered that Rue and Thresh had dark skin. And I love Lenmy Kravitz so I was tickled by that casting choice .

(i don't expect every person who sees the movie to have read the book but get a grip on yourselves, twittiots quoted in the media. /rant )

And the chipmunk incest stuff has me ???. Some of these kids need to turn 18 and find the appropriate venues to post this stuff. I won't say any more about it in an all ages forum. Perhaps I will rant later in the Brainstorm when I have had enough coffee.

Have a good day everyone :)
