"Either that, or else they don't pay attention to anything around them" Lucas said.

"Yes... Still, I'll feel better once we're out of sight..." Narisa said.

"Agreed. Let's go!" Lucas said, before quickly running off towards the forest.

"Gah! Wait for me!" Katherine shouted, as she ran after him.

Narisa waited a moment so that she was last, before loping after them.

"...I think that we should check near the river for berries, first! Agreed?" Lucas then shouted back to Narisa and Katherine.

"As long as I can teleport if need be, I don't really care about where we go!" Katherine shouted to him.

"That works for me!" Narisa called back.

Narisa sped up easily to match, though she was careful not to pass Katherine.

Eventually, Lucas reached the lake, followed by Katherine.

Though, someone who appeared to be human could be seen standing on the other side of the lake; looking down into the lake.

They were wearing a dark hooded cloak, which concealed their identity completely.

"...Who's that?" Lucas thought aloud, as he stared towards the person.

Narisa hesitated, tempted to fall back into the trees. She breathed in, trying to catch a hint of their scent.

The scent from the mysterious person was a mix of both human and Glameow.

"...I'm gonna go see who or what it is!" Lucas said; his curiosity taking over as he then ran towards the person.

Narisa opened her mouth to protest, but he had already taken off. She muttered something under her breath, before sighing.

"This is becoming a habit..." She grumbled, looking to Katherine. "It's a hybrid, but there are three of us-- let's hurry and catch up to Lucas..."

"Good idea..." Katherine said, before running after Lucas.

Lucas had now run halfway around the lake, though the Glameow hybrid hadn't seen him yet.

Narisa followed, hoping that the hybrid wouldn't react badly.

Though the hybrid only noticed Lucas when he was only a few metres away.

He then quickly jumped out of the way as Lucas suddenly leapt at him; missing the hybrid by mere centimetres.

Lucas landed a few metres opposite the hybrid, who was now taking a battle stance.

"Lucas!" Narisa yelped in surprise. "What are you doing?"

"Don't worry! I know what I'm doing!" Lucas shouted, before firing a Thundershock towards the Glameow hybrid.

The hybrid dodged easily, before quickly charging at Lucas with Fury Swipes.

Lucas was hit twice, though managed to dodge three more swipes and back out of the hybrid's Fury Swipes range.

"And what, precisely, is that?" Narisa snapped, stopping about six meters away as she didn't want to get between the two.

"Fighting this hybrid, of course!" Lucas said, before readying a Thunderbolt.

The Glameow hybrid then readied Sucker Punch.

Narisa rolled her eyes, her hands clenching for a moment. "But why?"

"Because he smells like a cat! And since those Delcatty hybrids are our foes, then this guy must be a foe, too!" Lucas shouted, before suddenly being hit with Sucker Punch.

He slid back across the snow for a few metres, before managing to stand again.

"...For goodness sake, conclusions like that are what will get us killed!" Narisa growled. "If we'd just left for somewhere else, this person wouldn't have even noticed us!"

"But then he might have gone to Snowpoint City and captured Max, like all the other Delcatty hybrids are trying to do!" Lucas shouted.

"...He's not a Delcatty hybrid...He's something else...I just can't figure out what it is..." Katherine then muttered quietly, though Lucas didn't hear her.

Narisa heard her, and since it confirmed what she had smelled she nodded. "He's not a Delcatty, Lucas," she said, still sounding angry.

Narisa rolled her eyes. "Do you have some sort of opinion on all of this, oh 'sort of cat'?" She asked the stranger.

"I'm sure it'd help if I knew what a Glameow was and I could see you're face," Narisa mumbled, sniffing to catch his scent again so she would remember it.

"You okay?" She said to Lucas at a normal volume.

Narisa blinked at this. Oh. One of those skinny little imps, was the first thing that came to mind, before the fact that Katherine appeared to know him fully registered. Then she just watched them with a bemused expression.
