"Shh..." Narisa mumbled, walking a few more feet before stopping out of frustration. The scent had gotten stronger, and she couldn't quite tell if it were just where someone had walked recently or not. She took several deep breaths, listening closely. The grass's movement would prevent her from feeling if there were anyone there until they were practically on top of them.

((Grass's? ^_^; *sigh*))

Narisa didn't notice, giving up on listening for the moment. She took another deep breath and her eyes widened, at the same time as she actually saw a bit of movement through the grass. Swallowing, she started backing away and to the side, her hand still on Max's arm. Argh, I might have seen that too late...please don't notice us... She thought, a bit desperately.

Okay... Lesson one-- if you think it might be there, assume it is. Narisa thought with a grimace, moving as silently as she could while still nearly jogging.

Narisa blanched when she smelled the Eevee. She almost told Max, realized that talking was probably a really bad idea at that moment, and clamped her mouth shut. She broke into a jog.

Narisa couldn't exactly smell the Eevee speed up, and she continued on the same path.

"Shoot!" She hissed. She jumped up just enough to get a look at the edges of the road, looking for an escape route.

The Eevee hit her before she'd even noticed it was attacking.

"Gaah!" Narisa yelped before she could stop herself.

((Gotten late. Bye!))

Narisa winced at the tug, glared at the Eevee, and scratched it's nose. Little j***! She thought. "Let go," she whispered fiercely in the human language.

Narisa used Leer on the Eevee, as she wasn't about to let the opportunity go. "Come on," she then hissed quietly to Max, beckoning him and then dashing towards where the cliff was. She ignored her now-aching arm.

Narisa whispered over her shoulder to Max as she ran. "We're getting off the road-- this place is a minefield. There's a cliff up ahead that we can climb, but it's past some people. I don't know how many."

Narisa nodded and lengthened her stride.

"Hnn..." Narisa mumbled, not quite paying attention. She looked the cliff up and down, gauging it's height.

"Is there actually a reason you wouldn't be able to?" Narisa questioned.

"Ah... maybe we should save that for a last resort. This cliff doesn't look too bad, compared to some." She walked over to the base.

Narisa looked a bit nonplussed as well. "Talk about it... Larger than anything in Celestic Town." She blinked, looking over at him. "Climbing might not be too safe, especially if you've never done it before..."
