![]() ![]() XD I suppose so. He's a busybody, that's for sure. At least, I'll give readers a break from him in the new land part of the story. Yay. Originally, this was supposed to be two different stories... Yes~though provoking is the best. I want that in my story, too. Let me know when you think of it. I truly could have done many other things, but that one is the first that has a good enough plot for a 50,000 word story... (scary thing: 45,000 words is for one story that hasn't even reached the war yet, which is the main plot of the story). It was either this one, or the one about Adam and his dead brother Nikolaus, the one with the notebook...But that one has no plot. D: 9/6/2010 . Edited 9/6/2010 #31 |
![]() ![]() I have to go to sleep- I have school in the morning and I have to get up insanely early, so I'm sorry. :( 9/6/2010 #32 |
![]() ![]() I've sketched a quick picture of Aletheia - if you want to see it here's a link: Sadness and grief, TaraMay! Must you go? I'm enjoying myself far too much. Shall we pick it up later, then? 9/6/2010 #33 |
![]() ![]() I've been studying a Greek God Family tree, and have discovered that Calvin and Maisha are cousins, counting Artemis as Maisha's mother. They are both half-cousins Aletheia, and Lanthalan is everybody's second cousin. Or maybe a first cousin once removed. I'm not sure which. Everyone here is related to Zeus, him being a grandfather to all except Lanthalan (to whom he is an uncle). 9/6/2010 #34 |
![]() ![]() Please tell me y'all are still on! Let me catch up and I'll join in. 9/7/2010 #35 |
![]() ![]() I have to get going soon...school and all. *grumblegrumble* 9/7/2010 #36 |
![]() ![]() Right after I get here too! *pouts* How many more posts can you write before you have to go, do you know? 9/7/2010 #37 |
![]() ![]() Well, I actually have to go now... *sweatdrop* But I posted once. Well, long weekend starting tomorrow, so hopefully we'll all be on. 9/7/2010 #38 |
![]() ![]() *pouts even more* Aw, bye, HayashiOkami! I'll snag the comp tomorrow if I can. Let's all play a bunch! On another note, is anyone else still around? 9/7/2010 #39 |
![]() ![]() xD Yeah, the long weekend should be fun. We could get this to like 300 posts or something, at the rate we're going... :D 9/7/2010 #40 |
![]() ![]() *grins* Oh, I can imagine. I'll definitely be on tomorrow, but I've got baby brothers I'll have to be responsible for, so I might be on-and-off sporadically, just to warn you. But I'll definitely be there. I mean, how could I miss an opportunity to play this forum? It's spectacular, with awesome characters played by brilliant writers, a wonderful theme, a promising plot, and Greek Mythology thrown in for a bonus. I'm addicted. 9/7/2010 #41 |
![]() ![]() Oh, wow. Uh... That's awfully flattering. ._. Damn. XD Thanks for the compliments. I didn't think I would make such a great forum but, hey, that's awesome that you're enjoying yourself. :D But, brilliant? Huh... That's very kind of you. -Hugs- 9/7/2010 #42 |
![]() ![]() -hugs back- I only say what I see, though I admit I am easily entertained :-X But yes, I'm having a blast. Even reading the older posts was fun, because it really did read like a novel - I was only anxious to reach the end so I could jump in too. 9/7/2010 #43 |
![]() ![]() Are you by any chance a Sagittarius? XD And stop it with your flattery! Lol. 9/8/2010 #44 |
![]() ![]() I don't know about the others, but I'm on and writing a post now for this wonderfully fa- er, extremely ordinary forum. *locks lips, nods as innocently as possible* 9/8/2010 #45 |
![]() ![]() Oi, I just read over that 'Archive' section, and I was wondering what gods are on which sides? Which side is Zeus on? How about Hera or Hades? More importantly, are our heroes' parents on opposing sides? That'd bring a bit of turmoil, wouldn't it? XD 9/8/2010 . Edited 9/8/2010 #46 |
![]() ![]() Well... That's a good point. I'm going to say that Zeus, Poseidon (and Amphitrite), Hera, Artemis, Apollo and Aphrodite will all be on one side. I have a feeling that Hades and the Titans, along with Ares, and the other gods that are usually portrayed badly will be on the other side. Actually, there might as well be multiple sides, more than just two. It would make it more interesting, you know? But we can think about it on here. 9/8/2010 #47 |
![]() ![]() That's a good idea; multiple sides would be more interesting. Though it'd almost be interesting if Hera were on a different side than her husband XD But really, this should be fun. I'm excited. What about Hermes and Hephaestus? Oh, and hiya Locotaco! Your character sounds like tons of fun, I look forwards to RPing with you. I love the 'sense relationships' power. 9/8/2010 . Edited 9/8/2010 #48 |
![]() ![]() Hermes always struck me as a go-between guy (but this is the person who's not good with Greek mythology), because he's just a general messenger and all. Plus, it's wartime so he's busy ferrying the dead to the underworld. 9/8/2010 #49 |
![]() ![]() Hmm, I suppose that's a good point. He is supposed to be the diplomatic one (whether it's wise to have the resident trickster also the diplomat I'll leave to the gods to figure out). And my, I forgot about the psychopompos occupation. Talk about a full-time war-time job... Poor Hermes. Though knowing the pushiness of a few of those gods *cough*Hera*cough*Zeus*cough* I'd think he'd eventually run into trouble for his neutrality. But he could probably run away from said trouble too, with those fancy shoes. I wonder how this battle and choosing sides thing is going to work out for Aletheia; I'm not sure if she'd be too keen on this whole 'fighting' thing. She'll probably end up in big trouble before finding a way to be useful. Maisha should fit in excellently with her bow, and Ryan too, with his fighting skills. I wouldn't be surprised if Lanthanon had a trick or two up his sleeve, especially in his sea form, and Calvin at the very least could be a healer - though I have a hunch that he'll have more than that on his side. Speaking of sides, it'll be so intriguing finding out which ones they take! What a mystery. By the way, are we going to have people claim gods to roleplay, or will you be playing them all, Uchiha? If they're up for grabs, I'd really like Aphrodite and possibly Eris too. I'd probably make Aphrodite a mix between a Prima Donna and a hopeless romantic (I know, a bit of a contradiction, but I think it's possible), while my Eris would be intermittently mad and manic or sadistic with an aura of evil cool calm. Definitely sadistic, too. On another note, what gods do you think are vital/would be nice for the story ark? Perhaps we should have a thread for claiming the different gods, with a list of the ones we need and/or want to have. Gee, I really didn't mean for this post to be so long... Sorry! 9/8/2010 #50 |
![]() ![]() Well, whoever wants to can play as the gods they choose to play as. I sure as heck am not going to play as all of them, that wouldn't be fun. Because if we did it that way, you wouldn't be able to have contact with any of the gods if I weren't on, you know? We can rearrange the loyalties as we go on, I was just sketching out a rough program, you know? I have a feeling that Apollo won't be very keen to fight, though... We'll see. We haven't really gotten to that part yet, and the sides will change as the roleplay goes on. Either way, we might as well wait and see. And whoever wants to play a certain god can, and you can stick them on whatever side you want. Or it could be every god for him or herself. That would be chaotic. 8D And yes, I am in fact rambling. Lol. Edit: I'm starting to sound like this guy in a lot of my classes in school who says "You know?" in a lot of his sentences. XD 9/9/2010 . Edited 9/9/2010 #51 |
![]() ![]() Okay, so we all know that the gods are arguing, and thats why our characters are being drawn into the fight, but what should they be arguing about? I really have no clue. in the myths theyve argued about infidelity amonst eachother, killing prophets, making other's subjects worship them.... any ideas? 9/11/2010 #52 |
![]() ![]() Well, granted this event was apparently foretold long ago. I think, though, that some of the gods think that the Earth is getting too overpopulated, so they propose killing a few billion to make more room. The gods who are against this don't believe that this should be done, but there can also be sides that are fore exterminating some humans but leaving the rest (like just killing a few million) and then there are some who argue that the humans should just be killed and the world should be left to start anew. So there can be multiple sides to the argument, you know? 9/11/2010 #53 |
![]() ![]() Maybe some only want demigods left. Or maybe some want to pick out a select group of humans and drop 'em off on an island, getting rid of the rest. 9/11/2010 #54 |
![]() ![]() I was thinking some wanted to wipe out the rulers of other religions and make themselves known so they would be the only gods worshipped. 9/11/2010 #55 |
![]() ![]() OOOOO, that's a good idea. Aphrodite would be for that, I think. Eris would be more into slaughtering billions. And Hades couldn't care less. 9/11/2010 #56 |
![]() ![]() Artemis and Athena would probably be against it, not that I'm even playing Artemis; and Ares would be totally game. 9/11/2010 #57 |
![]() ![]() Oh yes. Ares is all for war. Ares is war. Any idea what time of year it is? Summer, Spring, Winter, or Fall? Just because Hades' mood depends greatly on that. 9/11/2010 . Edited 9/11/2010 #58 |
![]() ![]() UchihaKamename says it's early fall/late summer, like it is now. 9/11/2010 . Edited 9/11/2010 #59 |
![]() ![]() She said that? *looks sheepish* Curse my bad memory! Thanks for filling me in, L.T. Heheh. 9/11/2010 . Edited 9/11/2010 #60 |
