Not many coherent thoughts ran through his mind as he was slumped over in the desk, chin on his folded arms. Zim didn't even spare a glance for Dib. He knew if he stopped concentrating he would slip into a manual rest, and into something deeper that even a simple recharge couldn't withstand. Couldn't stop.

He leans back and crosses his arms, paper just as blank as ever as it sat before him on the desk. He sighs softly and glances past Zim out the window, wishing the bell would ring so he could go home and study the textbooks he had found from years ago in an antique bookshop, when people taught things that were worth learning.

This is a most inappropriate time, he realized, as blackness swept across his vision. He mentally shifted something in his PAK to keep it at bay, and the sound of metal grating on metal was created in the quiet room, causing Zim to flinch.

Blinks and looks at the alien, knowing only he could make such a sound. He raises a brow and watches him suspiciously.

Opens his eyes and straightens, concentrating on the report signal in his PAK to keep from closing his eyes. Turning his head a bit stiffly, he catches Dib's eye and challenges him to keep staring with a glare.

Squints an eye skeptically and looks him up and down, then turns back to his paper with disinterest. He glances up at the clock.

Looks for a moment longer, only to avoid raising his hand. The PAK mechanics grind again, so his hand shoots up anyway.

Glances at him again, wondering what the hell that sound it. He starts to raise his hand, but notices the time and lowers it again quickly.

Growls when his teacher ignores him, pulling his hand down and curling his fingers into a fist it on the desk. The grinding repeats itself and he winces. That wasn't on purpose.

Begins packing his things into his bag as the minutes tick closer to that magical and over-blown time when skool ends and normal shit-life begins.

11/4/2011 #10

Stares at his book, trying to keep completely still until the sharp tone of the out bell startles Zim and he stands quickly.

"Hmph," he grumbles, glancing past Dib and out the window. It was raining...

11/4/2011 #11
Zips up his backpack and shoulders it, quickly moving from the room and waiting down the hall to see what Zim does. He smirks at the rain out the window.
11/4/2011 #12

Scowls at the window, tucking his book under his arm and stalking out of the room like he was going to brave the rain anyway. The hallway was empty, not abnormal considering the childrens' eagerness to leave this wretched place. He twitched, although no sound was heard this time.

11/4/2011 #13

Spots the alien and leans against the doorway beside the exit, smirking as he watched Zim to see what he will do. He had long given up on trying to rpove what he was.. now he just contented himself to watching and laughing at the creature.

11/4/2011 #14

Slips into the Chemistry room knowing it was emptied of both teachers and students. Leaning against the closed door, he shakes his head and stares with a bit of despair through the windows across the room. He hated being trapped.

11/4/2011 #15

Sighs and looks outside, not all too thrilled at going out and trudging through the rain either. He thinks on it a moment, then decided to go harass Zim. Moving to the room, he peeks in the window and prepares to scare the Irken inside.

11/4/2011 #16

Rubs at his eye before taking a deep breath like it might be a while before another. This was always an unpleasant experience, but he had to look at it now. Zim reached behind himself and easily pulled off the PAK, mechanisms being released with a mere mental command.

11/4/2011 #17

Hesitates, shifting closer to the small window to watch the alien curiously. He had rarely seen his disable his life supporting PAK. He watches silently, casting a glance up and down the hall every now and again to be sure nobody was around.

11/4/2011 #18

Loses his straight posture, even though he doesn't immediately feel the effects on his breath. Zim set it carefully on a lab table, far from the sink, and leaned over it. The clock was ticking, still he wouldn't open it. Zim guessed what he would find.

11/4/2011 #19

Tilts his head curiously, moving to get a better view. He considers interrupting Zim, but is far too curious for such an action... yet.

Moves his thumb over the seam, digging his claw into the edge until the PAK hissed open. He peered inside, unconsciously swallowing when he saw a common sight.

"Irk..." Zim reached in with thin fingers to right the worn gears, wiping something dark and green off of one of them. That wasn't all, but it was the most important at the moment.

11/4/2011 . Edited 11/4/2011 #21

Stands on his toes to see better, furrowing his brows at the sight. He pushes the door open very slowly, trying to be as quiet as possible as he slides into the room and shuts it behind himself.

11/4/2011 #22

Looks up, freezing. He was a little out of breath as he straightened and picked up the precious equipment. Zim held it over his back before the Human could come any closer.

"Leave, Dib-beast, or I will rip out those weak eyes of yours." With a couple of clicks it was attached and...functional again.

11/4/2011 #23

Tilts his head, glancing at the Irken's hands.

"What are you doing?" he asks, ignoring the other's threat.

11/4/2011 #24
Cleared his throat. "None of your concern," he replied, not making a move for the door. It looked like the rain was thinning, but he couldn't be sure.
11/4/2011 #25

Smirks again, crossing his arms in his stubborn way of unrelenting curiosity and harassment.

"I'm not concerned. I'm demanding to know."

11/5/2011 #26

Looks him over, shifting on his heels. What is it with this human? Why couldn't he be just as dumb and helpless and unnoticing as the rest of them?

"You can demand all you want." Zim lifted his chin.

11/5/2011 #27

"I just did," he chuckles. Noticing that the rain has let up, he decides to head home, not having time to waste on the alien.

"See you around, Zim." With another dark chuckle, he turns and heads for the door.

11/5/2011 #28

Narrowed his eyes, not responding. Maybe when he left, he could search the shelves of light chemicals until the rain was completely gone.

"Just go home, Dib-stick."

11/5/2011 #29

Pauses at the door to glance over his shoulder.

"Are you sure you don't want me to stick around, keep you company?" Sarcasm drips thick like honey from a hive.
