This is a dark story that takes place directly following Episode 6x09 The Doctor in the Photo, but goes it's own direction after that. Still reeling from the emotional events of that stormy night, Booth wakes to find that his partner is missing, gone without a trace... the apparent victim of an unknown stranger.

What happened after the end of "The Parts in the Sum of the Whole" as Booth & Bones walked away from the Hoover Building?

It is two weeks after Booth broke up with Hannah and his relationship with Bones is not in a good shape. They were sent undercover as a couple to save their marriage so finally they have to confront their problems and feelings.

Booth and Hannah are several months into their relationship and Bones can see that things have changed. But she has no idea how much they are about to change.

I'm back! I have been watching Bones again and it inspired me to write something new. In this fic Bones is sad and feeling lonely. And who else would give her the comfort she needs but Booth (duh!)

It's been a tumultuous year for Booth and Brennan, as though the years before had been much easier. With the death of Squintern Mr. Nigel-Murray, the couple crosses a threshold that will mark the beginning of a new chapter of their lives.

Booth and Bones have some decisions to make re: the child she is carrying and Booth gets bad news, upending what he'd begun to see as the perfect life.
