This one raises a point even the episode didn't, about the possible danger Alpha faced. The dialogue is expanded and the action changed in some ways, to what even at the time I felt they *should* have done.

Here we go again, a short fanfic. This is set 12 hours after Breakaway, and there's a little nod to the original concept of 1999 following UFO. How did the Moon survive? Here's a possible answer...

It's been five years since the Alphans moving across deep space comes across a rogue planet. Commander Koenig sends a shuttle with a team to investigate the planet on whether it's suitable to live on.

After Breakaway, Koenig wants to make plans with the moon's departure to help the community on Alpha survive.
