Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter. I read a lot, and am getting tired of book prices. I am a Harry Potter, Star Wars, Forgotten Realms, & Teen Titans fan. on the the subject of pairings. H:Hr, I am also finding Lunar Harmony to be a wonderful read. (Blame Larceny, Lechery, and Luna Lovegood, for that shift.) I don't like Ron that much or the story is REALLY REALLY well written, that is the only way i would condone a Hr:R pairing. FYI: JKR FAILED the well written part in Book 7. Slash sucks, enuff said. my favorites page is just a collection of stories that i have not looked at yet, i bookmark my true favs that are not on the alerts page. if i have the time to finish my fanfic, it will be a Time-traveller H:Hr fic. i have yet to find a Time-traveller fic that had both of them come back and change things for the betterment of all. don't know if Ron-bashing will occur, but it is a possiblity. I'm starting a new fic that has its origin in Rorschach's Blot's Odd Ideas Chapter 149. I'm thinking 1989's Batman, the first Home Alone and MacGyver as points of inspiration for the students. Sherlock Holmes might come in later on, but that is still not a firm idea. The MAIN reason I'm actually taking the time to post this info here is the fact that in the 22 hours since I posted the first chapter I've had an annoying pattern of reviews and PMs. There have been a few of them suggesting Mythbusters as a resource or Underworld as a theme idea. Folks, neither of those series were around in 1991. To the folks that recommended Watchmen, I KNOW that the Comic series is from the Mid-'80's. But the sheer age of the young students makes it unlikely for them to have access to it. The Dursleys would not be likely touch such an unique series. And Hermione would not be one to read comic books. (I know that 11 year-old's would have difficulties picking up that comic. I WAS 10 in 1991 and remember trying to buy that series with some lawn-mowing money and NOT being able to. I was raised in Texas, and as I understand it, the British were a bit more fond of censoring comics at that time. Couldn't buy that series until my 14th or 15th birthday.) I love the reviews and insights into the story. I am working on Chapter 2 and 3 as time goes on. If anyone has an idea for inspiration for Harry & Co. that is available to a 11 yr. old. I am debating on a cartoon handgun (Roger Rabbit style) for Hermione or maybe something from Dungeons & Dragons. First or Second edition are options for resources. I could have Hermione's parents be fans of the game. HEEHEEHEEHEEHEE. (Yeah, I'm a geek, sue me. Man, just thinking on the damage a Psionicist or Psion could unleash. Now who should I make a Mind Mage?) NOTE 8-7-2014: Ladies and Gents, my laptop AND desktop died in the second week of June. I lost ALL of the notes and chapter sets for Cinema, and am trying to recreate them. Sorry for the lack of an update. I'm borrowing my sister's Surface to post this. |
