Hello to all my readers out there.

Firstly, I want to say thank you so much for taking the time to join me in my version of the Voyager universe. Although all the characters belong to Paramount/UPN it’s a privilege to play with them here. Having been born in the same decade as Kate Mulgrew (I was in my thirties when Voyager first aired), there are a lot of parallels between the character of Janeway and my own life. Minus the saving the galaxy heroics , of course!

I admit that my stories are heavily JC oriented. This is because I think that both Kate Mulgrew & Robert Beltran did a superb job of creating the underlying tensions, deep emotional connection and sacrifices that go with the emergence of a romantic love that cannot be allowed in a military hierarchy. The nuances and inevitable misunderstandings that emerged over time were superbly portrayed. Ditto the excellent work by both Robert Picardo and Jeri Ryan as their characters sought to understand their emerging humanity.

My stories will always be posted as ‘complete’. Most stand alone but a few have become a serial of three or four stories that follow on from each other though they should still make sense in isolation. Sometimes the characters just won’t leave me alone and other times one or more of my reviewers have asked me to follow up. If the story warrants it and the characters decide to comply : my imagination usually does the rest unbidden.

When I start to write I have no idea where the story will go. It evolves on the page rather than my having a draft blueprint in situ before putting pen to paper, so to speak. Often a story title will come into my head and the characters write the rest for me. Saying that, I am always open to suggestions and constructive criticism.

Here’s hoping that the Voyagers come to me with more ideas over the coming months. If they inspire you then I can recommend having a go at writing yourself. My experiences of posting here have been nothing but positive. Thank you all so much for your supportive comments. If you don’t feel up to writing yourself just yet- for whatever reason - then if you have a great idea for a story, let me know. I’ll do my best to create something for you.

and for 2021 ? ...

I plan to continue my forages into the Space 1999 universe too. That show originally aired in the UK between 1974 - 1976 and I loved watching in Black & White back then. I preferred season 1 (aimed at a teenage and adult audience) whereas season 2 was very much aimed at children in the 5-10 year age range. Thus my stories will be limited to the characters we saw on screen in the first season.

There are only a few stories for this fandom so far but I hope to write a mixture of original adventures and episode additions to canon during the coming year.

For my Voyager fandom readers I am sure there is more to come too.
