January 29th, 2014: Well. This is awkward. I just signed into my account for the first time in about three quarters of a year--since I got locked out of my email address associated with it--and realized I've had a few PMs that are months old. If you've messaged me and didn't reply I'm so sorry! A general update on HoH: I haven't given up on this story, but I have no promises or estimations of when it will progress. I'm quite busy currently, and while I really enjoy writing it's difficult to justify writing stories instead of essays, or instead of spending free time with friends. I am, of course, incredibly grateful to everyone who has read the story (the ones who've stuck around since 2007 or are just starting it now) but spending a lot of writing time just isn't in the cards for me currently. I will continue to do work on it--either during reading week, or hopefully turning chapters out during the summer.
June 4th: I am back on track! (Or at least, I'd like to think so.) I'm on my summer break and have posted the next chapter of The House of Hell, and have spent a lot of time brainstorming and considering the track I'm taking in the story. This has also involved editing earlier chapters, but not significantly. Most of it is making the dialogue a bit more crisp and underemphasizing things that end up not being important. I've posted a one-shot called Not Like the Movies, which was a blast to write. The only real issue I'm dealing with, writing wise (other than time constraints--hello working full time) is this reluctance to make sure I leave no stone unturned and no plot bump unconsidered. But never fear, I'm working on it and the next chapter is in progress and almost entirely visualized. Other than writing, things are going very well for me right now and I'm happy. Just a reminder that if you have any questions, comments or concerns send me a PM--I will always reply. xx
September 7th: THE INITIATION IS COMPLETE! It is with equal sadness and happiness that I posted the final chapter of The Initiation last night. I was happy because it is the biggest relief ever to have it off my chest, and not that constant pressure that I have to finish it and update it. I'm a little sad because it was my first story, and also my longest and first full length complete. This story is the reason I found one of my closest friends, and has helped my writing grow exponentially. Let's just say there were a few moments I was close to ending it but couldn't bear to leave any ideas unexplored for fear of missing out on some elaborate scheme. Anyone who has read this story should know there are a ton of different things going on in there. I do intend to go back and edit some more of the chapters when I can, but at this current time I've got alot of catching up to do on HOH! So if you're a TI reader, check it out! It's a bit different, but I like it. :) Thanks everyone who has been there this entire long epic journey and I hope to hear from you all again! Keep your eyes open for me. :) Oh, and I'm back at school now for my last year, I have a full course load both semesters, and have to start applying to university soon and figuring out what to do with my life. I will be busy, but I'll make an effort. Feel free to PM me whenever you want. Sometimes the occasional random one is really nice and motivates me! :) Hope everyone had a good first day/week back!
I’ve found that the things that usually best describe people are random and sometimes insignificant. also, I am quite fond of reading people’s profiles, so I figured I’d update mine to give everyone like me some material to read. (don’t think I don’t know you’re there. I do.) I'm a short university student who has the tendency to get involved in way too many things. I'm sarcastic to a fault and, at times, more argumentative that is necessary. one of my greatest pet peeves is when people don't try. like I think most people on this website I've been reading and writing for as long as I can remember and have always dreamed of being a writer, but am one of those people who forces themself to acknowledge the improbability of ever succeeding in that field. yes, one of those. I remain endlessly grateful for the experience, criticism and support I have received through posting my writing on this website.
