Author has written 12 stories for Lord of the Rings, Valdemar universe, and Highlander. I've been a fan of numerous stories here for a while and decided to try my hand at a few of my own. The stories will mainly be about Lord of the Rings, but I may branch out occasionally. However, I will stay in the fantasy/sci-fi arena unless something very odd happens. Seriously, reading and writing is my escape from real life and work and bills and... Rant time - why are there so few Obsidian Trilogy stories under Mercedes Lackey? C'mon, folks! Those are good books. (I recommend them if you haven't read them). And no one's taken a stab at anything Timothy Zahn has done? Hard to believe. Hmm, maybe I should check to see if he allows fan fics before I really start working on that idea (update: he's not listed)... If you are a science fiction fan, I highly and strongly recommend reading Zahn's books. He has several different universes and all are very well-thought out. The Conqueror's Trilogy is my favorite, followed closely by the stand-alone The Icarus Hunt. Check 'em out! Last thing - all of my LOTR story try to be canon as much as possible - book, not movie. I don't always succeed, but if I know I'm flaunting something, I'll mention it. Since the great Mr. Tolkien never told us Legolas' age, I picture him at about 2,850 at the time of the War of the Ring which is few years younger than Elladan and Elrohir and older than Arwen.
