Author has written 7 stories for Phantom of the Opera, and Carpathian Series.
July 6, 2009 Update: The Sultan's Favorite has won the Fan Fiction category of the 2009 Hollywood Book Festival!
I was thrilled when I found fanfiction and I have enjoyed reading so many interesting stories.
For several years, I had a story in my head with Phantom. I'm not even sure when it began to develop. I just know it gradually built in my mind. To get it out of my head, I began to type it out and have worked on it off and on for a year when I had the time. My career and family take a lot of my time, so it was not easy to sit down and write. But when I do, if inspired, I find it relaxes me.
After finally getting the first story out of my head, I began to write The Sultan's Favorite as just something entirely different. In my head I had the idea of how bitter and angry Erik would be after letting Christine go; that he would take out his temper on everyone and anyone. I wanted him to somehow find someone that was just as trapped as he was. And the idea of a woman being trapped in an arranged, loveless marriage came to mind. The idea of an Arab type world came into my head and with a little research I came accross the Ottomans.
The Sultan's Favorite can now be purchased on Amazon.com (look under Anne Burnside) or online at Barnes & Noble. The story is now shown as a large excerpt from the book so readers can see if they believe they'd enjoy reading it.
