Author has written 7 stories for Ninja Turtles, Transformers/Beast Wars, Death Note, and Harry Potter.
Random info: Well let's see... I have an 8 year old daughter, a supportive and awesome group of family and friends and a huge dog named Lily. I deal with felons in my line of work along with Judges, Lawyers and Court personnel. This means that typically, if I'm writing an OC, she'll have something to do with law. I love to read, write, and debate about religion and politics. I'm an Atheist and a filthy liberal (though, I'm judicially conservative). I’m inspired by many authors (see books I recommend for a better grasp). I am obsessed with The Decemberists.
I have a potty mouth.
I am aware that I only write romance. I know that's fucking ridiculous. ... I can't help it. The plot bunnies won't die.
Books I Recommend:
The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker. Anything by Clive, really. He's amazing, as a person and an author. In fact, I encourage you to listen or watch some interviews of his- he's the sweetest author alive. Hellbound Heart is the original novella in which became Hellraiser. Also, Mister B. Gone by the same author. (Also, take a gander at his art)
Desperation by Stephen King. Again, ANYTHING by this author is amazing. Also the Dark Tower Series, Gerald's Game, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, The Stand, Cell, The Talisman... ANYTHING, really. He's God. Everything about Desperation is wonderful, it’s one of my favorite books of all time.... Tak!
The Belgariad Series and The Mallorean Series by David Eddings. These are my all time favorite books. There are 5 a piece, and they are fantastic. They combine fantasy, humor, drama, romance and science fiction in perfect balance. And everyone I meet who has ever read the books tells me- without fail- that Silk is their favorite character. I agree.
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. A great book, a great story. The author is bat-shit cray-cray, but we'll ignore that. It is a tragedy to live your life without reading this book. I know that sounds dramatic- but for pure writing genius alone this must be read. I don't believe for one moment that anyone ever regretted reading this book. It is literally an American classic.
His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman. My thoughts on religion are summed up in this beautifully written trilogy that is ineptly labeled as a children’s book. It is, without a doubt in my mind, the best tragedy I have ever had the pleasure to read. It is sweet and fun and philosophical and heart breaking all at once. When it ended, I sat there and cried like a baby. Not for the diehard Christian.(This is a link to a hilarious review by a Christian who had the unfortunate displeasure of reading this series. It’s sort of sad, how much he didn't learn from the books message, and how idiotic he sounds- so wrapped up in his sanctimonious beliefs)
The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. ... Do I have to say anything? Really? Stop watching the movies, kids. READ THE BOOKS.You will not be disappointed. I PROMISE.
I solemnly swear that Fred never died and George wears blue boxers! I am a member of the Twin Exchange.
