Author has written 65 stories for Metal Gear, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Lord of the Rings, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy I-VI, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
I have been reading and writing fanfiction for close two two decades, although I have only been on ffnet for half that time. At the moment I write pretty much exclusively for Final Fantasy VIII, and don't see that changing anytime soon. In addition to working on fanfiction, I also write original fiction, although that is not published anywhere online (and will never be published anywhere at all if I can't get my act together enough to finish a project!). I read a lot, and am constantly in search of authors whose storytelling and narrative style inspire me, even if I am frequently intimidated by how many amazing authors there are in the world.
I am married (my husband is also a fic writer and novelist--he is on ffnet under the name Victor), and have two very young children which makes finding time to write quite difficult, and finding the mental energy to create even more of challenge. As a result I often update slowly. I'm also an NFP personality type, which means I have a really terrible habit of constantly starting new projects before I've finished an old one. I try to limit this in fic, or at least, if I start something new to keep it to myself, but... I've gotten pretty bad about that over the last few years. I blame the wonderful FFVIII community, since it's a lot harder to keep things to myself when there are so many wonderful people reading and writing fic!
I am slowly working on mirroring my stories at AO3, under the same username as here.
I've never done this before, but I have a couple of open projects right now (curse of deviating from being a one-shot writer!), and I feel like I should indicate something about them.
Dissolve: This is my main project at the moment, even if updates have gotten increasingly slow. My son was born in April of this year, and between the end of an extremely difficult pregnancy and having a newborn (and adjusting to life with two kids), making time to write has been difficult, and I've had several health concerns interfering with my ability to connect to this story. This one is still my priority however, and no matter how long it takes I WILL complete it!
Underground: Not abandoned! Just on hiatus. The fast, disconnected nature of this makes it something I can't really work on piece-by-piece. Once I go back to it I plan to write the whole thing and then post as I edit.
Successor!Verse: I put this up here just because I've mentioned in a few places I intend to write a companion piece to The Successor that tells Seifer and Quistis' story. In writing Squall and Rinoa's story, Seifer ended up being so hugely important to their lives, but there wasn't a place in that story to go into detail about him--it was their story, so everything Seifer was told only as it related to what they were going through--but I ended up with so much, that I do have every intention of giving them--but Seifer in particular--a chance to have their story told. I've started on this, but won't begin posting until it's complete.
Love Like Rockets: Also will be continued. I made the mistake of "writing" the third (and probably final) chapter of this out-loud while out on a hike one day, and by the time I got home, of course I couldn't remember any of it. So this is another one where I just need to get the voice back--I've always been really proud of the way I captured Seifer's voice, and want that to remain consistent. Seifer is apparently a character I can't write as easily when I have too much going on at home--it's much easier to take out my own angst and stress on Squall and Rinoa.
The Highwayman: Taken down until I can work on it some more, So if you saw it/read it/reviewed it and are wondering what happened, it will be back eventually. That story was supposed to be a practice for me for writing something to completion before posting, rather than updating episodically, but I got excited about it thanks to a tumblr meme awhlie back and thought posting it may motivate me to start working on it again. But I really want to focus on Dissolve at the moment, and since I only had one chapter of this up, I'm pulling it until I can post regular updates.
-I am summonerluna pretty much everywhere on the internet--tumblr, dA, livejournal, AO3--if you see me somewhere, please feel free to say hello--especially on tumblr. Getting asks about my stories is the best feeling ever, so if you have questions and don't feel comfortable with a review/PM, send them over on tumblr!
-I do not attend cons as frequently as I used to, but still try to make it to at least Dragon Con and Katsucon and/or MAGFest every year--though any of the Delmarva area cons are always a possibility
-Fifteen Minutes Old, The Successor, and Roll Away Your Stone are related, but none of my other works are. (At least, not intentionally)
Ronin-ai has drawn two absolutely gorgeous pieces of art for The Successor, which can be found on her deviantArt page. "Rising Tide," directly from one of the scenes in the story, and "Centra Shore," which is based on a photograph of myself and my daughter that she modified to be a scene of Rinoa and her daughter.
I have an 8tracks account (here) where I post playlists I make.
After the Storm - for The Successor
Dissolve - for Dissolve
I also have a few others; some for other writers, some character/game specific.
-avatar picture is from one of my cosplays; costume made and worn by myself, picture taken by my husband
-cover art for Dissolve is a print from artist François-Henri Galland
