Author has written 11 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Robin Hood. "The cycles...should be linked to a majestic whole, and yet leave scope for other minds and hands, wielding paint and music and drama." Elen sila lumenn' omientelvo. you know it's time to update your profile when it still says you hate greek philosophy. that was two or three years ago. I'm just a voice crying out into nothingness, the shape of an empty wordless song. I try to carve out my own hole in the universe, and end up making it just a bit smaller. my life is music, the song of the stars without the Mozart touch to make it complex and yet so simple. it's more like a Mendolssehn concerto, rich and complicated and woven strand by strand into the mess I like to call life. I write mostly to tell myself I'm alive, because when I need it close, it'll show me the truth. I think sometimes I really do live in a world that's populated with elves and hobbits and goblins and dragons. I'm in love with many people and many things. smike is my hero. mr. darcy is the only boyfriend I'll ever want. riley poole and matt ferrell are my favorite computer geeks. mozart's my personal composer, tolkien's my inspiration, and beowulf's my song. violin's my world, latin's my language, and Christ's my whole heart. "The elves are immortal, at least as far as this world goes; and hence are concerned rather with the griefs and burdens of deathlessness in time and change, then with death." my writing comes in waves, so I have to classify my stories in waves. mostly what I'm writing right now is soliloquized in-head stuff, sort of all my thoughts packed into someone else's head. I really should take down those old stories, but I don't want to yet. I haven't quite abandoned the whole person I used to be. New stories: Only One Left (a group of short stories about Gilraen), the dreamer, Celebrian's Journey, The Edge, and the Hope of Estel. New Poems: a tale of Robin and Marian, and Boromir doesn't smile anymore. Old stories (mostly extremely hyper):Healers and Dreams, Middleearth on Laughing Gas, and Much Madness in Mirkwood. |
