For those of you that have not read the manga, the man in the picture is Yondaime, also known as Namikaze Minato, and Naruto's father; the red head is Uzumaki Kushina, Naruto's mother; and chibi!Naruto I guess. Favourite Manga/Anime: Naruto and Bleach. Favourite Character: Uzumaki Naruto - this character must be one of the best creations in history by a Mangaka. Even though, since the end of the first arc and second arc have been a bit disappointing, credit should be due to Kishimoto for giving us the perfect artefact, to do with as we please. This character has the tragic background history, but instead of breaking him or hardening him, it made him a better person. Naruto must be one the most positive characters out there, even though I have a limited knowledge of manga/anime, there is no denying that watching this character in work is a pleasant change from the whole norm of the brooding, angst, anti-hero crap (even though I immensely enjoy Sasuke). Naruto has charisma, a personality that annoys most, but at the same time touches the heart of many. He is also shown as being powerful; generous; a hero, and many other attributes that make him so likeable. This, in my opinion, makes him the perfect character for an author to work with. One can turn him into whatever they want; the idiot; the genius under the mask of the idiot; a powerful ally; the worst enemy; a killer; a hero - he is contradiction personified, but at the same time, an author can don on him any of those masks and you will still be entranced. Of course, the author has to be a good writer with logical (in Narutoverse) plotline. Anywhoo, thats all folks! |
