Author has written 2 stories for Kuroko no Basuke/黒子のバスケ, Hunter X Hunter, and Rising of the Shield Hero/盾の勇者の成り上がり. Isekai Mess Update(s): 8/12 I've been working on an original story. Creating a world, plot, and several in-depth characters that drive the direction of the story. It's fun but not easy, nor is it quick. And that is where my time has been spent. I originally wanted to finish Rising of the Isekai Mess by July so I could start it...until I sat down and realized it would require several months of weekly work before I could finish that. So I started focusing on my original WIP instead. Once I get all the world and character building done, I then have to outline a skeletal structure for the plot, and then I can begin writing it. It's in the writing phase, ironically, I should be able to come back to ROIM. Cuz by then, I don't have to worry about creating as much stuff from the bottom up, but give words to the ideas I've constructed. Until then, the next chapter of ROIM is partially finished, and gets incrementally added when I get the chance, but this is going to be the way things are for a while longer. I DO NOT ever intend on dropping it, but if for some reason I had to, I will make a very clear and detailed apology right here, for anyone curious. 9/4 Also been involved in moving and working a full-time job, so yeah. I'll try to start updates again when things settle down (might drop to a chapter every month or two, we'll see. I do feel bad putting this on hiatus...like a certain manga). My Profile An aspiring author, working on my craft everyday, no matter how small the effort or progress. It started off with a daily goal of writing 500 words at minimum per day, to keep my skills steady at the very least. In doing so, I have created a bunch of one-shot original and fanfic ideas that I won't post because they don't go anywhere, and are simply a means to pour 500 words into. Rising of the Isekai Mess was one of those stories. However, this one was especially fun to write, so I ended up posting it online. Figured that if I enjoy writing it, others will enjoy reading it. The feedback has been positively phenomenal, even when its critical. I'm looking to improve in any way I can. Originally, it was just supposed to be a subversive parody of the first episode of Shield Hero, a few chill-and-fight chapters, then the ending I planned. However, in response to the people reading and/or loving it, I've decided to expand it into a full-fledged story before bringing in the ending I can now really build up to. Anyway, I still have much to learn, and with every chapter, I learn something new about myself and the craft of writing in general. Bear with me! In the end, whatever I do plan to do, I hope you enjoy it! -Killian Astar |
