Author has written 13 stories for Class of the Titans, Total Drama series, Bleach, Legend of Zelda, and White Knight Chronicles.
Hola. And welcome to the bio of me, Lisa aka Volvochick, but you really aren't all that interested in me are you? Admit it, you're just here to see what other stories I have written in the past, present, and future. Yeah, thats right, I can see the look on your face, I'm nothing to you people. All you want is your daily fix of fanfiction, I'm nothing but one of your many dealers who give you the fix your looking for, the one you crave.
And yes, thats right, I did just compare obsession to fanfiction with an addiction to drugs. So there. BAM!
But I'm not just one flimsly one night stand, no siree. No, if you want so get the inside info on the means to my madness, then you gotta romance me first: ask all about the interests, likes and dislikes, even me. You know, all the boring crap nobody really wants to know about but does anyways. But don't worry, I'll keep it short, sweet, and to the point.
Basically, I live in good old Saskatchewan (thats in Canada for those of you who don't know) and I work two part time jobs, one at Superstore and the other at Michaels. That coupled with my great ability (no really, it should be my super power or something) to procrastinate terribly means I don't have time to update all that often, and that I'm even worse than usual.
As for interests, its almost easier just to list the things I don't like, I've dabbled in everything and anything at least once or twice and have held a passing interest in all of them. Right now my writing and reading interests mainly involve the works of Sonic the Hedgehog (comic verse mainly), X-Men, White Knight Chronicles, and the Legend of Zelda. In time though these will change, no doubt about that.
Other none muse likes that I do in order to fill free time are listening to music: whose bands include the works of Disturbed, Eminem, Bon Jovi, Queen, and Nickelback, among the random indulgences of nerdcore; a miscellaneous assortment of comics and manga: Scott Pilgrim, Psyren, Sonic the Hedgehog, X-Men, and One Piece to name a few; reading the wondrous collection of literature I've absorbed: the works of Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus, the Kane Chronicles, and The Wheel of Time; and losing my self in the true love of my life, video games: The Legend of Zelda, White Knight Chronicles, Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider, and many, many others.
Dislikes include tomatoes, mushrooms, mornings, and alcohol (the taste and smell of which burns terribly. But not pickles, definitely not pickles, or carrots.
And a bonus fact: English was my least favorite class and Math my favourite. And yet I'm on here writing and getting, oddly enough, compliments on my work. Go figure.
Best Quote Ever: "Persons attempting to find a motive in this narrative with be prosecuted; persons attempting to find a moral in it will be banished; persons attempting attempting to find a plot in it will be shot." - Mark Twain (from the notice in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn) I wish I was able to use that when asked what the plot of my books was in English class. Damn it.
Now that that bit of awkwardness is done with, on to the exciting part, or at least the part you most likely came for. Any and all stories I am planning.
But first, a brief description of my writing style (aren't I just a stinker?)
As odd as it may seem, I don't like reading romances. Most I find very cliched and lacking terribly in plot. In truth, I actually prefer humor and action/adventure. I believe that those truly take great skill to write and if done well, is a sight to behold and a joy to read. Unfortunately, I cannot write humor or action/adventure, at least not well in my view at least, and so for some reason whether I intend it or not, I write the genre I dislike the most. Work that out. Admittedly though, I do try to hold off on the sappiness and fluffines of them, writing most kissing scenes and declarations of love make me slightly uncomfortable and reading over my work I always groan over what I did. For that reason, The Forgotten was one of my favorites to write, I was able to cut out all of the romance aside from a very fun innuendo filled scene and was able to work on my sadly lacking ability to write fight scenes.
Other than that, the most that you might get from the actual style of writing is that I'm not one for dialogue. I try to fit as much as I can in, but I'm more of a descriptive author who explains the thoughts and actions at that moment than relying on spoken thought to carry it. If any blame is placed, it would be on the Wheel of Time series, of which I love the fully descriptive scenes, and Surprise!, whose writing style causes me to cringe every time I remember it and the lack of description I used. I'm pretty sure to this day I am still making up for that fact with every story I write.
I now swear that I am done any and all boring and irrelevant facts and am getting on the good stuff. The means to my madness, the twisted world that lives in my head, the stories I shall someday unleash onto this poor, little site.
Just remember though, I'm a horrible parent. I tend to forget about my children here and play favourites with most while I would lke to pretend that some never even existed.
The Legend of Zelda: Horn of Light
It has been over a century since the execution of Princess Zelda, the last of her line. Hyrule has since entered a period of darkness, with the rule of Ganondorf casting a shadow over the land. All the people have to believe is the Prophecy of Light, that a hero of the goddesses shall come and birth the land in light once again, but they have begun to lose faith and wonder where the prophecized Hero of Light is, and why hasn't he come?
Okay, honestly I didn't mean to stop on this but re-reading through I realized that it isn't what it could be and so with only three chapters in, I'm actually rewriting it. The plot hasn't changed, nor have the characters, I'm just giving it a quicker start so expect to see the newer updated chapters sometime in the near future.
Fun Fact: The title was originally called Horn of Spirit but when the reveal of Spirit Tracks was released, I changed the title as not to copy it. The plot that came with the new title was much better anyways.
A dancer may be as graceful and beautiful as an angel from heaven above, but they way they move can enchant and tempt you like a demon's promise. Of all the things he will ever remember about her, it will be how she danced the ways of angels and demons.
Yes, I know. I promised that I would have the next final chapter up the day after the sixth one. That was almost a year ago. I am terribly sorry about that and I have no excuses for my blatant disregard of my own rules. What I can say is that I have at least half the chapter finished on the computer but at some point I don't like where I'm going with it and stop and when I come back to it I rewrite everything I just wrote. I can promise that I will try to have the final chapter before July 14th so keep your eyes peeled.
Fun Fact: Each chapter was only supposed to be a small ficlet of only a couple of hundred words or so and was supposed to fit all in one chapter. Never happened obviously.
EDIT: IT IS FINALLY COMPLETE! YAY!
Although the story may have run its conclusion, it never truly ended. For each end is a new beginning and new tales are ready to be told. These tales are the ones lost, the ones forgotten, and the ones that simply became unknown.
This one has yet to actually hit. It's a series of various oneshots that may or may not connect in a random order from the White Knight Chronicles timeline. These were all ideas from various points of the game, some are hidden scenes, others are an introduction to the game itself, and a fair few take place after the game has ended. I have many, many ideas for the story in particular but only one or two have actually been fully written. The title is not a sure thing, I had another one but it is lost somewhere in the maze of my mind and in the catastrophe of my room in a notebook somewhere.
Fun Fact: At last count, I had twenty-five different ideas for chapters with more always beening added.
For those that would like to know: Wythia, my avatar in White Knight Chronicles who made her first appearance in Cosmetology.
Wythia: Born in a small village that rest by the borders of Balandor and Faria, it has constantly changed in ownership over the war, and thus is inhabited by both Farians and humans alike. Trained as warriors from a young age, Wythia took up the axe to the surprise of everyone despite her height. Now eighteen years old, she is a skilled warrior with the great axe despite being only 4'8" and traveling the world to kill one of every beast and monster out there so she can marry her childhood friend, a Farian archer. Because this was looked down upon and is all but considered illegal, they sent her out on a mission that would be practically impossible to finish. She joined up with Leonard and the others when she realized how easily they were able to attract monsters, especially the rare ones. Only problem is, she's not sure if she wants to marry him and if she actually does like him in that way. Figures that she'll figure it out once she's completed her mission.
She has dark brown skin, shoulder length black hair has her side bangs ties back, and purple eyes. Despite her working with the great axe for most of her life, she is stick thin and looks only ten or eleven to those who don't know her. Has an undeniably fondness (read: addiction) to sweets and spends money likes its going out of fashion on new armour and weapons. Short temper.
Warning: Unless you want to find all your money gone in mere seconds, never let her hold the purse. It might be the last thing you will ever live to regret.
Well, that's all for now. I will let you get to the fun item of the day, reading my hard work. And if you ever need a fix, just come on down, and don't worry, I won't tell anyone your dirty little secret.
If you have any questions or complaints, or whatever, just PM me, I'll be sure to reply quicker than I update don't worry.
