Author has written 38 stories for Horrid Henry series, Life on Mars, Simpsons, Ashes to Ashes, Professionals, Dumping Ground, 2013, and New Tricks.
I'm an avid reader, gamer and fan fiction author; also a tomboy but on the cool alternative half nerd and geek side.
A huge Ford fan just like my daddy (I am his mini me only 20 odd years younger and smaller).
My favourite authors range from Jacqueline Wilson right up to the classic sophistication of Charles Dickens and George Orwell [to name a few]!
I'm Philip Glenister's top fan since I was 12 or 13 possibly a bit younger because he's the same age plus tall build as my dad, love his ultra ego DCI Gene Hunt and find certain male voices like his or daddy's reassuring. Philip Glenister is very similar to my Dad only with mum's eye colour and his hair is slightly lighter than jet black, it makes sense on why he is one of my favourite actors. (both are from 1963!) Turn the 6 around to be 9, this will be 1993 numerated backwards!
The cars I have for Gene Hunt are based on the ones my dad Michael and Philip Glenister have owned, use and love (see list of makes); sometimes they are in smaller roles in other fandom's I follow:
John Simm is another as I liked him in Dr. Who before his Life on Mars role.
Keeley Hawes is the actress I like best of all as she has jet black hair like me and loved her as DI Alex Drake.
Lorraine Kelly is the closest match to my Mum only she is well known for ITV's flagship breakfast and Loose Women magazines. There is the same age gap between her and Philip Glenister, in perfect parallel. In some Ashes to Ashes storylines based on me, this helps create a picture easily since they have the similar make up in DNA.
I found DCI Gene Hunt suited the modern 21st Century era best as a police officer in the Life on Mars UK fan-fiction I have written; with the 1970s being the Guv's childhood, 1980s his teenage years since I mostly stick to the 1963 year of birth; sometimes it'll be the early 70s for certain Ashes to Ashes ficlets inspired by the authors Jazzola and Storybookgirl 77 on this website. I strongly felt the original 1930s-40s year given by the show's producers stupid for Gene as I couldn't imagine the Guv being old enough to be a child surrounded by World War II and to be a DCI in the era he was meant to be growing up in, that is his father's generation if anyone were to ask me (unless storyline states otherwise!)
In certain storylines on BBC'S Ashes to Ashes and Life on Mars; I wondered what it would be like if Philip Glenister's ultra ego Gene Hunt was born in the early 90s like me and 20 odd years younger which gives me fresh ideas; updates the backstory, using his then teen to 20 something age from the 1980s/early 90s era to the fast paced Internet generation; also to be a young copper around today's difficult society.
My The Simpsons fan-fiction episodes are always set in Britain (usually England) as I dislike the Americanisms and don't get me started on their sloppy usuage of spellings; drives me insane whenever I read some of The Simpsons fan-fiction stories; especially if I like a particular one and I have to spend a few hours converting the script, storylines and dialogue into the proper correct UK English.
David Bowie is one of my favourite musicians.
A huge Nintendo fan as when I'm not out, behind a book, camera, sketching or computer; I'm commonly seen gaming or building Lego Ford cars from their Speed Champions or Creator series. Two other Lego ranges I'm fond of are Architecture and Classics.
Favourite animated serials for me are:
The serials and books I written fan fiction episodes for over the years:
Life on Mars
Ashes to Ashes
Tracy Beaker/The Dumping Ground by Jacqueline Wilson
I've covered some of my written works by crossing over with other favourite serials for certain genres and storylines to get characters that aren't available in the stand alone versions. I come up with original characters that suit that particular subject; for Tracy Beaker/DG Trilogy ones I use snippets from Mumsnet custom search, copy the dialogue needed then edit them for the purposes of said story.
The only things I do not write are songs, poems, period dramas (if under certain eras) and plays due to their nature.
I regularly write fan fiction privately on Microsoft Word with photographic storyboards as these are also made for Fanfiction.net; but from my own USB disk archives, with a few edits for this suite and have my own versions of classic Fanfiction.net publications and they allow me to edit things as I wish; getting my stories up to speed, proofread and updated.
I use Microsoft Wordpad for rich text formats to make uploading from USB easier.
Also I sketch fan art on various serials (so many to count in my portfilio on Facebook)
