ABOUT MY STORIES: I love character death. I love humor. I do not like humorous character death. I'm better at writing humor than angst, though I enjoy writing angst more. (I would like it even more if I were better at it...) My favorite tool in writing is the surprise ending, which I employ as often as possible. (So expect the unexpected! Prepare to be surprised!) I also generally prefer bittersweet or downright sad endings to happy endings, though for some reason the majority of my writing seems to be humor with happy/funny/surprise endings. But I do prefer unhappy endings. They leave more to the imagination, I think. And as a writer, that's something I value.
UPDATES: I'm slowly but surely making a comeback. I haven't written anything regularly since before college, but now I'm beginning to feel the allure of writing fanfiction once again. New stories will come sporadically as inspiration hits. There may be a few random one-shots in who-knows what fandom, as I have many interests.
REQUESTS: NEVER. AGAIN. I'm honored that you would ask me to write a story for you, really, I am. But I'm never ever going to do another request. I have to be free, with no restrictions, see? I have no artistic license...not to mention the prospect of letting someone down really stresses me out. So no more requests. Ever. I really am honored, though.
POETRY: I also enjoy writing poetry, though I don't get inspiration for it as often as prose. If you're interested in poetry or enjoy my writing, check out my poetry, found at my LiveJournal or tumblr. I have generic poems about the seasons and death and stuff, and also fandom-based poems that never made it onto FFN. (Personally, I think I'm a better poet than prose writer.)
Bitten: I wrote in my fic "Bitten" that you can ask me about why L holds stuff the way he does, in case you don't know. Here's the link to the answer. daethule.livejournal(dot)com/18639(dot)html
Hour by Hour: A linear timeline of events in the story, in case anyone is confused. daethule.livejournal(dot)com/22655(dot)html
恐れ Fear: The amazing lexisblake translated this into Russian! Here's the link if you're interested. ficbook(dot)net/readfic/3402616
Well, I think that's all for now. Don't forget to drop a review and tell me what you think! And have a nice day, dear Reader.
Much love, Sedentary Wordsmith.
