Author has written 3 stories for Teen Titans, and Avatar: Last Airbender.
Whoever said “no time like the present” obviously hadn’t heard of “tomorrow."
That's my motto... which should tell you something about the frequency of my updates.
Okay, so all you really need to know about me is that I'm a human English female. My main obsession keeps changing... I can't stick to one fandom long enough to write anything about it. :p
Oh, and I'll just say this now: I do not own any of the shows or characters that I write about. This goes for any and all stories I will post here.
Please review, even if you hate it. I can take criticism. :)
Fandom (favourite ship, other supported ships)
Futurama (FryxLeela, AmyxKif)
Fairly OddParents (CosmoxWanda)
Teen Titans (BBRae, RobStar, KFJinx, CyBee/CyxSarahSimms (she's in Teen Titans Go! right?))
Avatar (Kataang, Maiko, Sukka/Tokka (I like both... Though unless something happens to Sokka or Suki, they're going to stay together. I feel bad for Toph...), ShonJi (that's Shoji x On Ji... from The Headband), Smellershot/Longerbee)
Yugioh (although I only really like the Shadow Games...) (Peachshipping (who came up with that?))
Naruto (NaruHina, SasuSaku, AsuKure, GaaMatsu... and screw the ShikaIno vs. ShikaTema argument - ShikaShiho is the way to go!!)
Fullmetal Alchemist (EdWin, RoyRiza, AlMei)
Ouran High School Host Club (TamaHaru)
Things I don't understand (aka Rants)
- When people tell/ask reviewers not to flame
If someone hates you/your story enough that they want to flame you, they’re not going to reconsider just because you said you don’t want flames. So what’s the point in ‘banning’ flames?
- When authors complain about readers favouriting and not reviewing
If someone’s added your story to their favourites, that must mean they like it a lot. If they favourited without reviewing, maybe it’s just because they couldn’t think of anything more original to say than, “Great story, I really liked it.” What’s the problem? People get too obsessed over reviews.
I don’t have a problem with homosexuality at all, and if people want to read stories about it then that’s fine, if that’s what they enjoy. But what is really strange about yaoi stories is how almost all of them are so unrealistic. So Naruto and Sasuke have feelings for each other… okay, maybe I can see that. But then Sakura and Ino realise they like each other. Shino and Kiba start going out. Kakashi and Iruka are having a secret affair. Tsunade and Shizune. Lee and Gaara. So, what, everyone in Naruto is gay?!
- The use of the word ‘teme’ in Naruto fanfiction
Now, I can’t claim to be an expert on the Japanese language, but from what I understand, the word ‘teme’ is just another form of the pronoun ‘you’. Granted, it’s the rudest form, so when Naruto says, “Teme-!” he’s basically saying, “You bastard!” But it doesn’t literally mean bastard. So when Naruto calls Sasuke ‘Sasuke-teme’ or ‘the teme’, it doesn’t make sense because he’s saying ‘Sasuke-you’ or ‘the you’.
There’s nothing wrong with liking a non-canon ship, or one that has a few canon hints but has little to no chance of happening; I like a few ships like that myself. But the annoying Zutarians are the ones who actually think it’s likely to happen, or, worse, that it’s inevitable. I’ve seen essays written by Zutarians pointing out all the ‘hints’ and saying how clever the creators are for trying to throw us off with all the Kataang they’ve thrown in there, and how everything has been set up so that Zutara can happen. Uh, what? The ‘Chaobunny’s Guide to Zutarian Logic’ series pretty much sums up my thoughts on Zutara. It seems kind of pointless writing all this just before the finale when the Zutarians will be proven wrong anyway, but I'm sure they'll find some way to twist it all around. :p
- Why everyone says that Naruto is dense for not realising Hinata’s feelings for him
Sure, to us it’s obvious. But in real life, if someone was always red and kept fainting, why would you automatically come to the conclusion that it’s because they like you? Wouldn’t you just think they were weird and probably ill? And how does Naruto even know that she only acts that way around him? Not to mention that for a long time Naruto was alone and shown very little affection of any kind, and has always had to fight for acknowledgement; it would be hard for him to believe that someone likes him, when he doesn’t even know her that well and didn’t have to do anything to gain her acknowledgement. Also, when Hinata faints after seeing Naruto in Part II, Kiba says, “Why do you always faint around Naruto?!” So, if her own team-mate hasn’t figured it out…
- When people try to argue that Hinata doesn’t like Naruto
All right, it’s highly unlikely that Naruto likes Hinata as anything more than a friend. But some people try to say that NaruHina isn’t even one-sided by saying that Hinata only admires Naruto, she doesn’t like him romantically. No, I’m pretty sure she does like him. I don’t think it’s meant to be ambiguous; it seems pretty obvious and straightforward.
- Why people always draw the seal on Naruto’s stomach in fanart
The seal is only visible when he focuses his chakra, right? So why do some people draw it in anyway? Or, if someone doesn’t, there’s usually someone who points out that they ‘forgot’ it…
- Why people assume that cartoon Raven is an empath
Yeah, in the comics Raven is an empath. She’s also a vegetarian pacifist, and she doesn’t have telekinesis. I’m not saying that she’s definitely not an empath in the cartoon, and her powers always seem kind of ambiguous, but I don’t remember seeing any evidence for it. She went into Robin’s mind in ‘Haunted’, she got those flashes of images when Terra brushed past her… but, correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t think she’s ever mentioned sensing someone’s emotions. I can think of a few situations where it would have been handy…
- When people say that a character is acting OOC in canon
Surely ‘OOC in canon’ is an oxymoron. Characters can be OOC in fanfiction – actually, it’s hard to find stories where they aren’t – but in the actual TV show or whatever… those are the actual characters. They can’t act OOC; that’s what they’re actually like.
- Why people can’t get spelling/punctuation/grammar right, or at least use a spellchecker and/or beta reader…
The One That Didn't Get Away: I came up with the idea for this when I was researching Beast Boy's past. It's an AU in which he never got away from those two thieves who took him to America and made him steal for them... hence the name. I've got the basic plot worked out... I just need to find the time to actually write it. I'm just eager to get to the good parts.
Evergreen: A series of oneshots focussing on BB. Some are just him, some are BBxRae, and some are mainly Raven. I've got some good ideas for this, and I really like writing oneshots.
