I think I'm finally starting to get my life together. You know, it's been a roller coaster ever since Mom died a few years ago. No one's ever ready for that and I was no different. I was a junior in college and I still had to get through my senior year to get that degree I'd been working so hard towards. Things got complicated very quickly after losing her support so abruptly. Not to mention that I really wasn't emotionally ready to continue my studies, but I had to. I couldn't dawdle, I had no time to relax. It was either sink or swim.
Plenty of hardships later, I've managed to land a job that I enjoy and it utilizes my B.S. in Mathematics. I work fairly well with my coworkers and my boss is the best one I've ever worked for. My work schedule is wonderful. It still gives me time to have a life outside of work and I'm off on the weekends! This gives me more time to do the thing that gives me life--writing. I've started to get my finances together. I've even started dating again. In my book, I call that an "A" in adulting.
My interests have changed quite a bit over the years. I used to read books at all hours of the day, during and after school. Then I got into gaming and I spent literal years of my life dedicating myself to a select few of them that I managed to obtain. Now, however, I haven't so much as touched a gaming controller in a long while other than to watch YouTube. I spend more time watching other people playing video games. Not only is it cost effective, it's also entertaining. I remember I wanted to start my own gaming channel, but realized it required far more time and money than I had and I simply did not have a good enough PC to edit videos.
I used to be way more into anime than I am now. I watched them religiously, planned my life around when my favorite show would be coming on TV. Now, anime is so easy to watch via Crunchy Roll and Exodus on Kodi, but ironically, I've not been in the mood. Funny, when I was younger, I believed I'd never get tired of it, but here I am neglecting it purposefully.
So there you have it, a short blurb about what's happening with me these days. I try to update this section every couple of years just so people can get to know me somewhat. If you have any questions or you just want to chat feel free to PM me. I usually check my inbox daily. I used to put a list of what anime or video games I'm into, but it's pretty self explanatory if you check out my published stories.
