Author has written 12 stories for Sons of Anarchy.
Happy New Year!!
I finally found some down time to fix the problem with the links for the story banners created by two lovely and faithful readers, CherryDarling1177 and Bobbysidjit. Story banners and other pictures that have inspired at least two OCs (Jolene and Marlowe) are now located on my website:.
Once again, I want to thank everyone who has ever taken the time to read and/or review my stories. I was really nervous about creating the 2 Sons Universe, especially since Call of Duty (and the other two stories of this planned trilogy) is heavy on character development and sticks much closer to canon, making it grittier and darker than anything I have done before. I started writing this story weeks before I uploaded the first chapter as if I were hoarding nuts for the winter. During that time, without outside influences aside from my beta, I have grown quite attached to Marlowe and was nervous about how she would be received by readers.
Needless to say, I feel like squealing with joy like a proud momma every time I read a review and someone mentions something positive about Marlowe or tell me how much they like her. You guys have totally embraced this new OC pairing with Jax Teller, recognizing that although she is a strong woman, she is by no means perfect and I thank you for that. There’s a lot more story to tell regarding Marlowe, especially where her feelings for a certain pretty blond biker are concerned. Strong feelings that are only further complicated by Jax’s own drama and Marley’s relationship with her “brother” Happy. Not to mention that the poor girl has some serious personal issues of her own. I’m working hard to make sure that Call of Duty gets only more interesting from this point on, so I hope you’ll stick with me.
My muse is already busy at work and I will soon be starting the development phase of the second story in the 2 Sons Universe. The second part features the most fearsome (and, arguably, stubborn) patch of the mother charter, Happy Lowman. Coming up with a woman who can match the ornery one-percenter in temperament and wits will be tough, but I’m already starting to like this OC who is equal parts wise-guy savvy and book smart. Butting heads with Marlowe over his old fashioned macho chauvinist ways is one thing, but poor Hap is going to have to take a step into the 21st Century to deal with this one!
The path to finding true love with a hardened criminal is not for the faint of heart, so the woman who can burrow her way into Happy’s heart of stone will have to be tough as nails and possess a strong sense of self. This won’t be some wet-behind-the-ears girl, but a woman who has gone through the fire and has come out as strong as purified steel, just the kind of woman who can partner with the Club’s SAA.
In the midst of all that, I’m also developing a final trilogy of stories for the Jaxene Universe, focusing on the lives of the next SAMCRO generation—Ellie, Tiki, Abel, Harry and Maddy. Again, these stories will be a bit of a departure from the previous fluffier stories in the Jaxene Universe, while still maintaining a strong sense of family. And although these stories will center around the younger generation, Jaxene will have a strong presence, especially in the second story of the planned trilogy. Jax and Jolene Teller have always known that there is no such thing as “happily ever after,” and that happiness and balance in their relationship is something that they have to continue working towards and they will learn that compromise is a necessity in order for their family to remain united and truly happy.
Finally, I want to wrap up the alternate universe I started with Four Women with a sequel that will tie off any loose ends. Although I have not received a whole lot of feedback on that story, I personally feel the need to see it to its final conclusion. All this seems like a lot to accomplish before the Sons of Anarchy’s final season airs in Fall 2014. A part of me is wondering just how much interest in SOA fan fic will remain after the show is off the air, so whether or not any of these projects continue will depend in large part on the feedback I receive from readers.
And speaking of feedback, a few readers have asked just how closely I’m sticking to canon and in what direction Call of Duty is headed. I try to answer all questions I receive, except for the ones that require spoilers as an answer, so please don’t think that I am deliberately ignoring you. I’m not. I just don’t want to ruin the story for you. :)
As always, thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing from you.
