My name's Siobhán, and I'm a 19 year old girl from Ireland. I'm in my first year at university, studying German, English and Media. I absolutely adore fanfic (well, if it entails some form of shipping, that is!) - I love reading it and writing it, when the mood takes me. Once I start writing something, I give it my all, although inspiration is sometimes slow to come! Hence my stories are few and far between, but reasonably good (if that doesn't sound too vain!) when I do write something!
Pending updates: I am absolutely the worst updater in the history of updaters! For that, I apologise! Profusely! I haven't forgotten about "Fire and Ice," I promise! If you're waiting for chapter four, don't despair, I will be getting around to it in the next few weeks! I've had a lot going on recently and there are essay deadlines coming up soon as well as exams for uni, so I'm a little busy - but I'm not going to leave poor Misty where she is forever. Thanks for waiting!
My fandoms are pretty concentrated - Doctor Who, Star Wars, Pokémon, Torchwood, anime (Ouran High School Host Club, xxxHolic, Trigun, Clannad, Kanon 2006, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Peach Girl, Ayashi No Ceres, Strawberry Panic, KimiKiss Pure Rouge) ... yet I tend to stick to Doctor Who and Pokémon, reading- and writing-wise. Fluffy one-shots are my norm, although I'm trying to rectify that with my multi-chapter "Fire and Ice" Pokémon fic at the moment!
Music, you say? I'm definitely a pop person! I love Hilary Duff, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Ashlee Simpson, Ashley Tisdale, 3 Doors Down, Westlife, Kelly Clarkson, Gareth Gates, Ronan Keating, Christina Sturmer.
And pairings, I might as well mention them, and who I've written for!
Ash/Misty Pokémon - my first ever ship, my OTP! I've done several one-shots, plus "Fire and Ice" (3/5 chapters are up)
Gary/Ash Pokémon - recently become my favourite ship! Written three one-shots, all rated 18 .. yes, this is where my naughty fangirl emerges from its general fluffy state!
Nine/Rose Doctor Who - Ten/Rose could never replace them! There are a couple of poems lurking around I've written, as well as my only completed multi-fic, "The Reason Why," a story I'm very proud of!
Jag/Jaina Star Wars EU - absolutely the best SW couple of all time - so why'd they split them up in canon-land?? cry
Jaina/Kyp Star Wars EU - fiesty, gutsy, sexy pilot and hot, forceful and powerful Jedi... how can I resist?!
Jack/Ianto Torchwood - Ianto's getting all the great lines in series two!
Jack/Gwen Torchwood - how can she even be thinking about another man with Jack around? Beats me.
Yuuichi/Mai Kanon 2006 - she's just the best of the girls... full stop.
Watanuki/Doumeki xxxHolic - man, they are so mired in denail it's unreal... not to mention hot though XD
Haruhi/Hikaru Ouran High School Host Club - started off a diehard Haruhi/Tamaki girl... now I'm waving the H/H flag!
Okazaki/Nagisa Clannad - they are so in love, it's incredibly sweet! I melt with the fluffiness every time I watch this anime!
Vash/Meryl Trigun - he needs her and he doesn't even realise it
Momo/Okayasu Peach Girl - too sweet! She should have gone for him from the start!
Aya/Yuhi Ayashi No Ceres - Okay, Toya was exciting at first... but Yuhi wasn't in denial!
I hope that you enjoy what I've written and will read any stories I write in the future. Your support and reviews make me smile:) And of course, I've got to give DayDreamer64 a wave - she's the one who inspired me to start writing again after a long absence:)
Note about spelling and language in my fics:
A few people have over time pointed out what they termed mistakes and discrepancies in my spelling and language. Ding! Nope, those are not mistakes. You're probably American. I'm Irish. That means I use the English system of langauge usage, Oxford English. I refuse to Americanise my writing, because that's not how I learnt it. So please don't think I don't know where spellcheck is in MS Word. It also means I use the English form of certain words, like torch for the American flashlight, path instead of sidewalk, bin instead of trash can, etc. I'll let the characters say the American version, for continuity and canonical purposes, but in my narration, please expect the English form.
I'm not deliberately being a prat, I promise! I just get a little stubborn about this at times! I don't mind reading other people writing American English and I'm not expecting everyone to use English English - I would just rather use it myself.
