I realized the information displayed about myself was so out of date it might as well be considered fiction. So, in lieu of having nothing to do at work at the moment, I'm going to bring my profile up to date.
I am now a second year college student, and doing considerably better academically then I did in High School. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact I love the course work--architecture, art, art, and, um, art! Socially I'm lacking, just because community college in a completely different city then my high school friends and doesn't provide as many friendship-developing opportunities. Whenever I can I try to drive home and see my favorite people. I get all my silly antics, jokes, and hiking urges all out with them in one glorious weekend. Usually I glow from the experiences for a few weeks afterward, making the wait all worth it!
One downside to attending college full-time and working--I don't nearly have enough time to read all the fiction books I want! I've not been to a library in soooooo long--if the library was a church, they'd have kicked me out for non-attendance and disloyalty by this point. So I am SO grateful for fanfiction, which sends me email notifications and is conveniently read at work and between classes from my laptop.
Unfortunately, I am a sucky author. When i go back and read my fanfiction from highschool, i wonder to myself--who would read this? My characters are so whiny. I'd like to think my writing has improved marginally, partly due to the fact I read so many fanfiction authors who rock writing that some of their influence has rubbed off on me. If only I could buckle down and update my recent ambitions in story writing...
...Yet another thing I suck at, following through. I am a proud procrastiantor. Never do today what you can do tomorrow! "Procrastiantors unite!...Tomorrow!", and all that lovely jazz. And for that, I apologize. Since I am constantly encouraging my favorite authors to update as soon as possible, that would also make me a complete hypocrite and a leech to fanfiction society.
My cocatiel Jadette went to another home when I left home. I didn't feel right leaving my beloved bird at home with bird haters. Now I have no pets, so whenever I'm home I allow myself to be smothered by 2 chihuahuas and my dog Duchess who stayed with my mom and dad. Gods, I love those beauties! Yet its nice not having their dog smell in my apartment all-my-own. I get the best of both realities I suppose.
My favorite color is not yellow, and my hellos no longer sound like bananas. The reigning color at the moment is burgundy, a perfectly wonderful color. And my hellos are just cheerful. Nothing more. Just artificially cheerful. I blame my job, answering phones and greeting complete strangers every other minute.
Okay. This baby is updated, and I feel better for it! Hopefully soon I can work up the energy to update a couple of my stories soon.
