Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter, Naruto, Star Wars, A song of Ice and Fire, Misc. Tv Shows, and Game of Thrones. Hello. I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter. I have been working on stories for years now, and have finally finished the first one and can begin posting the others. Kassien comes from St. Jean Kassien, an early Christian Ascetic who brought Monasticism to France in c. 420CE. It's still there...St. Victor's Monastery (Marseilles, France). HP & the Never-Ending Summer is a Honks (Harry-Tonks) pairing and is now finished/complete, and covers only the summer after Fifth Year. Runic Animagi is a sixth year story as well that covers the whole year, and not just the summer. Features Harry/Daphne! Welcome Back Potter is my own Azkaban story with my favorite Hellatrix pairing. Harry De Vie is my own time traveling story for Harry in the past, dealing with changing the future. 8/27/14 After an insanely long hiatus, I have returned to publishing stories on this site. Unfortunately for any of my old story's fans, I am not continuing them at this time. Over the last four years since I stopped putting out new stuff here, I have been writing quite a bit. I have 2 new stories that I started for here and one original work that I am hoping to finish in the next few years and publish. If anyone is interested in continuing/adopting either Harry De Vie, Welcome Back Potter, or the Never Ending Sequel I have tons of notes and half written chapters of all three that I would be happy to scan and turn over. I haven't really ever gone back to read any of my stories, and after the time I put into them I usually don't want to. That said I really have no idea or memory of where I truly left off on these and am happy to pass them on to someone who does. My two new stories are both born from very different needs; Lily's Journal is a redo of the books starting in Gringotts with Hagrid during the first book, where Harry finds in his vault his mum's journal from Hogwarts and therefore shows up at Hogwarts more prepared and ready to learn magic, and was born from my love of the Video Game fics out there that I love but knew I couldn't write. I only started this one a few weeks ago, and it really re-energized my love for writing and publishing stories on this site. The other is HP & the Ultimate Crossover; a fic that grew out of my love for so many of the different crossovers out there. I wanted to do several of my own, and then decided to have a whole lot of fun and create one where Harry basically is interjected into every genre and story line that I knew and read about. I started this one over two years ago and have been adding to it since then, and believe I am up to 20 chapters so far and hope to start publishing them here soon. Since I just logged into my account for the first time since 2010, I am sorry for anyone who sent me PM's or reviews that I haven't even read until twenty minutes ago. The response to all of my stories has been great and uplifting for me, and to a few of you who wished me well and were looking out for me, I truly thank you! Enjoy Reading! 7/20/21 Well ...another several years have passed with little to no activity on my account. I haven't stopped writing by any means, but have had several common critiques to my writing style that I have realized my biggest weakness will not be easily overcome by me. It forced me to take a serious look at all my fics, and realize that I am not a good story teller, but more a summary-smith. No matter the story, I will eventually get to the point were I am "telling" the story, and not "showing" it. I am going to post the chapters that I had typed from my old stories, but am not going to proof read them or anything, just post it all and mark those stories as abandoned, sorry. I would like to thank Joe Lawyer who really spelled it out for me in one of his reviews, and sounded so alike all the criticism I have received from submitting my original work to publishers, that I have had to re-evaluate everything I knew or know about writing a good compelling story. It's not just creating a list of successive accomplishments that build into long narrative paragraphs that read more like a summery until the story runs out ...it's why it was so easy to stop HP & the Never Ending Summer without getting into 90% of the things listed throughout the story that I brought up, but never go into and unfortunately for all those still asking for a sequel ...it's not going to happen. Unfortunately for me but fortunate for you all, I had already started several more fan fiction stories that I was hoping to add to this site and include here, but had become less sure I wanted to continue beating a dead horse. I think I will start posting everything I have anyway, mostly out of ego ...as regardless of the steady stream of negative feedback regarding my writing shortcomings, I do generally love trying to tell a story, or show something my brain has come up with after reading the countless wonderful and wonderfully bad stories littered throughout this site. The positive reviews, when someone finishes reading one of your stories and simply says "good job" or "thanks" easily outweigh any critique, no matter how justified. Good constructive feedback is really helpful and this site has provided millions with the platform to experiment and find their own voices, and for that I will always be grateful, a fan, and an avid reader. I guess with my piece said, I will continue to publish stories here since this platform has given me countless hours and days of reading enjoyment over the 16 years of readership, and I would hate to deny others out there looking for a little distraction, and hoping to find that perfect story for their current mood that will take them away from reality if only a moment to play in these wonderful sandboxes created by truly amazing story tellers. My new stories that I am working on are pretty varied, and they took insane amounts of energy and time to research and read many other things I was completely unfamiliar with, until I could develop ideas that I felt fit into a story of my own. Most of my stories come from a very simple moment in reading other stories, where I ask "what if just one little thing was different here ...how much would that change the canon?" I didn't want to post incomplete stories, but I don't know if I will ever be able to finish these stories, as I have no idea how any of them should or will end, so here they are in their striped bare, non proofed, no end in sight glory... Lily's Journal was the first of these, and though it has petered out after several chapters, mostly after I realize that I have once again fallen back into my habit of "telling a summary" instead of showing the reader something unique and amazing, I still love the basic premise. What if Harry had found a small journal among his Trust Vault on his first visit, that had Lily's thoughts and feelings about starting at Hogwarts herself? He would devour every word, and enter the Wizarding World with even basic knowledge would completely change the whole beginning of his journey, and those changes would grow and snowball from there. It's been over a year since I have written anything for this story, and it is free to a good home if someone thinks they can do anything with it. Just please let me know, so I can come read and enjoy it. Naruto Re-Purposed was the second of these, and it too has petered out after several chapters for the same reasons. I had never read Naruto, but stumbled into the world from a few HP crossovers on this site that I really liked and a new grouping of stories and characters was opened for me. Naruto Uzumaki is almost the exact same clueless hero that Harry Potter is, and their parallels let me easily transition into the world of Naruto that I have truly enjoyed. This story explored what would have changed had Iruka mentioned one sentence to Naruto before passing out after the fight with Mizuki, telling Naruto to be careful dismissing too many clones at once because of the memory feedback feature. This simple sentence early on would go on to change the direction of Naruto's training and the story from there, but quickly got very large and very difficult to keep up with all the moving parts and pieces I had created (damn clones), and I can already see myself quickly falling into the usual summary telling. I haven't worked on this story any further for the last year, and am willing for anybody to take it and run with it as I will never be able to make it better than Verum in Phantasia's Naruto: Shadow Clones for the Win. The Force's Balance is a crossover bringing an MOD! Harry Potter through the veil to the Star Wars Galaxy over 20 years before the Clone Wars even began. This story came after reading Tsu Doh Nimh's The Havoc Side of the Force for easily the fifth time and wanting more and not willing to wait for the author to continue. If you want to see a real story teller, and be entertained beyond any story I have written, go read his much better crossover. Mine quickly gets into the world building "summary telling" and I hope to be able to tweak and "show" you more in the future, but I am not sure I am wired to write that way. This story too has gotten much bigger than I intended, and is a little out of control at the moment, and will take some serious skill to continue steering that story in a direction that is pleasing, and frankly I am probably not the pilot for the job. Locke's Legion is an SI (Self-Insert) into the world of Game of Thrones & A Song of Ice and Fire, which has taken a simply ridiculous amount of time to get as far as I have, and simply would be wasteful in the extreme if I didn't at least post it regardless of it's short comings. Talk about a culmination of years of telling summaries and hundreds of thousands of words that don't really captivate, and read probably more like a boring Binn's History lesson. But, I can't ignore the countless hours of work I still put into developing a story, even if I don't fell like I can tell it in a way that is truly entertaining. There are simply too many characters, and too much history to keep in mind at all times doing anything in George RR Martin"s world, and I just know details of my story will be picked apart and critiqued harshly, but hopefully a few people enjoy it, and if I don't post it ...it would be a year's worth of free time wasted. Enjoy Reading! Kassien |
