Author has written 9 stories for Harry Potter, and Alice, 2009.
You're walking down a long hallway, leading to who knows where. It's dimly lit. In fact, only one of every ten lights are actually working properly--the rest are flickering and giving you a minor headache as you continue down this mysterious hall. To add some atmosphere, let's say there is creepy music playing in the background and a fog has started to rise. Fog in a hallway? Of course.
Every door you pass is old and beaten down until you come across one that's not--it's new and a deep red. No window in the top half like all of the other doors, this is just plain. And boring. Curious, the creepy music getting louder, you put your hand on the knob and turn it, pushing in.
The door doesn't open. Perturbed, you sigh and begin walking again when you see a sign that wasn't there a few seconds ago: The door opens outward, stupid.
Raising your eyebrow, you try the door again, opening towards you. To your surprise, it works.
The room you've entered is almost exactly like the hallway you just escaped from--dimly lit, lights flickering, cobwebs in the corner, and creepy music emitting from a boombox on the table in the corner. You hear a throat clear and you whip your head to the center of the room, where a desk (with a lamp and lots of papers) and a chair sit. You can only see the silhouette of a man sitting at the desk. He moves his hand, "please, sit."
Unsure of what to do, you just stand there.
The silhouette sighs impatiently. "Are you here to see UbiquitousPhantom or not? If not, I must ask you to leave."
Who the hell's UbiquitousPhantom? You wonder. You nod your head. "Uhh... yeah. UbiquitousPhantom. I, uhh... need to see, uhh... yeah. I'm here to see UbiquitousPhantom?" You end in a question.
The silhouette sighs, shaking his head. You can just see him rolling his eyes. "Whatever. Do you have an appointment?"
You blink. "No...?"
"Of course you don't," the silhouette sighed. "I don't get paid enough for this... alright, come here. You need to sign some papers before I can allow you to see her. She doesn't want any of the riffraff and whatever. Come, come, sit down so you can sign this so I can leave." He pointed to the chair across from the desk.
With nothing else to do, you shrug and take a seat. The silhouette pushes some papers towards you and a pen. "Sign these. Feel free to read them, no one ever does, though. Too boring, I hear. When you're done, you may proceed."
"Proceed?" You question.
The silhouette leaned forward a bit and you imagined you could see his eyebrow raise. "Proceed to UbiquitousPhantom's room. You don't think she's in this room, do you? Of course she isn't. She's in an actual well-lit room with no flickering lights and no creepy horror music that she requires me to play 24/7 'for atmosphere'."
You nod once, not convinced. You take the papers and lean forward to read them.
I, _ (enter full name here), will not hold anything against UbiquitousPhantom should I, _ (enter full name here), die of boredom, laughing, or anything else that could possibly come from reading her profile.
The silhouette sighed and put his chin in his hand. "You can't pass until you've signed that document, I'm afraid. Sorry."
Raising your eyebrow once more, you quickly scribble in your name and hand it back to him.
He looked at the document, nodded and waved his hand to the right where a door magically appeared. "Go ahead, she's in there. Probably watching a movie or reading or writing or something equally as boring."
You smile and shake your head. I wonder what kind of person this UbiquitousPhantom person is, you think. May as well go in and see.
You put your hand on the knob, and remembering earlier, pulled outward. The door opened. Curious, you went in.
Can you tell I was bored there? ^ ;)
Welcome to my profile! Thanks for stopping by! And thanks for signing that paper... makes my life a ton easier. That was William, by the way. He's my secretary that I conned into help--I mean... he's my wonderful secretary who is most definitely there by choice and that I'm paying a decent wage to! Please abide by the following rules while here:
1.) We do not talk about Fight Club.
For those of you who are not in the know, this is what my name means:
Ubiquitous; (yoo-bik-wi-tuhs)--Adjective. Existing or being everywhere, at the same time; omnipresent.
Yeah, that's right. I'm behind you. Like a boss.
I apologize for not updating as of late. I am now in college, so that's taking up the majority of my time, along with my newly found social life. I didn't have one of those in high school! So it's really fun to actually have one and to be able to go out and have fun... yeah, I'm enjoying it. A lot. A lot a lot. So... because of my newly aquired social life, I have less time to write. Sorry. And I've just been a bit lazy. You are not allowed to judge.
Kind of on the same note... I don't think I'll be writing anymore on here. I may come back once in a great while to post something, but I kind of doubt it. I will finish A to Z eventually, though, I promise. I just... lately writing fanfiction hasn't been all that fun, which is why I haven't posted in forever. I'd much rather read a book or write my own stories with my own characters than write with already invented characters. Not to mention, especially for this summer (summer of 2011) I've got a full time job babysitting two kids, a boy and a girl. So I'm going to have my hands full there.
Probably no one cares, but I thought I should probably at least update this to let people who actually read profiles (like myself) know. But, I hope whoever you are that you enjoy my stories for what they're worth (even though I know they're absolutely horrible) and, if you have time, to leave a review. :)
And as you can see, I'm obviously coming back here to update my profile. Again. So I'm not completely and utterly abandoning the site. :)
Like SyFy? Well, for those of you who do, check out the SyFy rendition of Alice in Wonderland called "Alice". For those of you who missed it, it's on Youtube (the person who has the whole thing up has a username similar to: xNxOxRxMxL, I believe). Check it out. It's simply pure genius. And if you're worried about the major SyFy-y part of it--no worries. There's more storyline than special effects. Not to mention some DEFINITE sexual tension as well as "OMG-THE-CHARACTERS-HAVE-SUCH-CHEMISTRY-WHY-ARE-THEY-SO-STUPID-THAT-THEY-CAN'T-SEE-IT-THEMSELVES!?" type of romance. I highly recommend it. So watch it.
Name: Ahh, call me Miranda.
Ahh, let's see...

American Psycho. Scream 1-3. The Count of Monte Cristo. Harry Potter 1-7. Halloween. Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The Day After Tomorrow. Thir13en Ghosts. Ponyo. Zombieland. The Dark Knight. Sherlock Holmes. The House of Wax. The Nightmare on Elm Street. ... just to name a few.
My OTP (One True Pairing): Dramione. DMxHG. Draco/Hermione. Whatever you want to call it. In all seriousness, this is most definitely probably the best pairing in the world. I was sooo mad JK Rowling didn't make them end up together. They're MADE to be with each other! (Goes on mini-rant) Anyhoo, this is my OTP and is probably going to be the only thing I write for quite a while. if you love Dramione as much as I do, you're my best friend.
Something I'd reccommend to ANYONE who likes (maybe even dislikes) Harry Potter:
In all seriousness, go watch that. It's perhaps the funniest thing I have ever watched. It's a Harry Potter musical some very devoted fans made. It was made in Michigan. Which is completely awesome. Smart people will be able to figure out why I think it's so cool that something so amazing originated in Michigan. It is very well done. Very funny. The costumes are pretty much legit, too. Voldemort tends to be the favorite of girls, and Draco is most definitely the favorite of everyone. You just have to go and watch it.
If you need a laugh, watch it. You will not be disappointed.
They've also got a sequel, A Very Potter Sequel, an original musical called Me and My Dick (most definitely not appropriate for minors, if you can guess by the title), and their newest production, Starship!
So go and check it out! I command thee!
Something Everyone Should Read...
So! Here's a link to his site! Make sure to read the rules carefully, though... there are to be no spoilers whatsoever. This is taken very seriously there, so if you can't handle it, don't bother going there.
If you like Musicals...
I've got another that just needs a few words. The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Tim Curry as a transvestite. Is oddly attractive, not going to lie. You must watch. NOW.
Also! There was a musical that was a re-make of the 1930's version called Reefer Madness. This is an absolutely hilarious musical about the effects of marajuana. However, the effects are completely outrageous and obviously exaggerated/fake. If you like wacky musicals that have fun songs about murder, Kristen Bell in a dominatrix outfit, an hallucination about Jesus, okay acting and lots of pot-smoking, then this musical is for you!
Haha, and yet another one: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. It was made sometime in 2008, I believe, and has Neil Patrick Harris in it... need I say more? It's about Dr. Horrible who's trying to juggle his love interest and his attempts at getting into the Evil League of Evil. I found it hilarious and adorable and heart-wrenching. The only bad thing about it is that it's about 45 minutes long... check it out on Youtube. Just type in "Dr. Horrible" and you'll get it. It's only 6 videos--Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3, with two parts to each Act. :)
And! And! And! There's this absolutely amazing musical. Called CATS: The Musical. It's... well, it's about cats. That can talk. And walk. And sing and dance! The costumes are amazing, the singing is absolutely phenomenal and the dancing... well, I don't have a word for the dancing. It's friggen amazing. I adore this musical and all of the characters in it. Not to mention the music is very catchy. :D
If you've seen any of these musicals, or have specifically gone and watched them because I said to, then send a PM my way and tell me what you thought of them. :)
I shall abide by these rules for the rest of my life. You should too.
Put this into your profile if you never realized that Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and the Alphabet Song have the same tune.
If you actually take the time to read other peoples profiles, copy this to yours.
If you have ever pushed on a door that said pull or vise versa, put this in your profile.
If you’ve ever copied and pasted something into your profile, then copy and paste this into your profile.
I'm a klutz. I mean, a MAJOR klutz. As in, I trip over things that aren't there, I fall when I run, and I accidently drop quite a few things. If you're a klutz too, then copy and paste this onto your profile (but don't trip!) to fill the world with us unbalanced people!
You glance around the room you enter, unimpressed. By the creepy music playing in the previous room as well as the not-so-cheery atmosphere set, you assumed this 'UbiquitousPhantom' person's room would be cool. Instead, you got boring. The walls are painted oddly--on the bottom half are stripes the color of orange, blue, green and brown while on the top is a solid brown. In one corner is her bed with a lamp and an iPod dock on the bedside table. The iPod dock is playing soft Celtic music--from Celtic Thunder to Enya.
There are a ton of stuffed animals, clocks, candles, posters, and pictures of trees everywhere. in another corner is a bright blue chair with both clean and dirty clothes. A mini bookshelf holds a ton of movies, mostly horror (must be where the wannabe-creepy atmosphere comes from, you think with a smirk). On her dresser stands a horribly homemade TARDIS.
"Why hello there!" You whirl to your right where a desk sat in the corner with a chair. The desk was covered in paper and pizza boxes and multiple other food items. In the chair was a girl. She stood up. She was about five foot three inches, and wore the typical jeans and an orange t-shirt."I'm Miranda! What's your name?"
You tell her your name.
"Nice," she grinned. "Well, this is my room, feel free to take a look around. I'm a horror movie whore, so if you're into that kind of thing feel free to take one and watch it--just be sure to give it back. Do you need to know anything specific at the moment?"
Shaking your head, you mutter "no".
She shrugged her shoulders, said "alright" and turned back to her scribblings. "If you need anything, just lemme know. And when you leave, tell William that I need him in here, would you?"
You nod and turn to exit the room. "What a waste of time," you mutter.
