Author has written 43 stories for Harry Potter, Highlander, Smallville, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Buffy X-overs, Good Omens, Pushing Daisies, Book X-overs, Psych, Supernatural, X-Men: The Movie, and NCIS. I never know what to put for these things... I'm in my late twenties (as well as in denial about my impending thirties). I live and work in the middle of a city, and am of the firm opinion that life isn't quite as interesting anywhere else. I'm a political consultant, which is a sort of catch-all title that in my case means a combination of planning campaign strategies, doing the odd bit of damage control, and writing speeches and statements. It's interesting work and I enjoy it a great deal. I also do some writing on my own, and hope someday to be a published novelist. I've been reading fanfic since 1998, though I just started posting my own fic a year ago. My first fandom was the X-Files; my first ship, Mulder/Krycek. The list has since expanded to include Highlander, Buffy, Harry Potter, Good Omens, and many, many others. I will read almost anything provided that it is well-written and interesting. (This applies to books as well, and I'm almost always about halfway through three or four of them.) At the moment, I'm working mostly on finishing my works-in-progress. The ones I'm mainly concentrating on are Shades and Echoes, a Highlander AU; No Dominion, which is a Highlander/Anita Blake crossover (otherwise known as the Death meets Death fic); As In the Best It Is, a Matthew McCormick-centric Highlander historical fic; Resurgence, which is a Highlander/X2 crossover, and (by popular request), Revival, a Highlander/Pushing Daisies crossover. None of the others have been abandoned; those five are just the ones I'm trying to focus on right now. Destruction Where You Stand, and the rest of my Harry Potter fics, are on hold at the moment. The end of the series disappointed me greatly, and though I do at some point expect to be able to stand the fandom again, I am currently Pottered-out. I do promise, though, to someday finish DWYS. This week, I'm listening to... Edith Piaf, Vera Lynn, Marlene Dietrich, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, etc. (I'm on a WWII-era music kick right now.) ...and I'm reading: Apocalypse Watchby Robert Ludlum, Night Watch, by Terry Pratchett, and Gaiman's Anansi Boys. |
