--Slight DH spoilers--
Alright, a little about me: Let's see...I'm a senior in high school. My senior year is totally awesome so far! I am really really really busy these days because I have band practice and competitions, musical practice, stuff for FCCLA, etc, plus homework. I'm also in NHS, bookclub, Vella Void (women's a capella group), speech, Mock Trial, the spring play, choir board, yearbook staff, and student council. But I love being busy, I've decided!
I am hugely obsessed with Harry Potter. I am waiting for the day they realize they should just make every book into about four movies instead of trying to cut out all the small plotlines. I went to get Deathly Hallows at midnight (who didn't?) and had finished it in 24 hours (16 were actually reading). I loved the book, of course, but I was also a bit disappointed at the lack of climacticness and the lack of tying-up-loose-ends. I'm also obsessed with Pirates of the Caribbean. I only like Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, and I find him kind of creepy in other roles. That aside, Pirates is the best movie ever! Especially the third one. I find them even better once someone explains them to me :P. In fact, during the third movie, I kept saying "This is the best movie EVER!", but once it was over, I stared at the screen for a moment and said "...What just happened???" and then begged my best friend to explain it to me. :P
Let's see...I'm a huge fan of The Da Vinci Code, of everything by Sophie Kinsella, and of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, even though it makes me depressed. I also love To Kill a Mockingbird, Girl with a Pearl Earring, and Jane Eyre. Favorite movies include A Cinderella Story, Dragonfly, The Phantom of the Opera, Timeline (Gerard Butler is such a hottie!), and Tristan + Isolde.
I LOVE to read, and of course to write. My life plans include going to University of Wisconsin - Platteville (though my mom would rather have me go to an in-state college so I'm not paying off student loans for the rest of my life), living in Washington DC and Virginia for awhile, and then settling down to a career as a high school history teacher and author with my hot husband I am to meet in Italy (while touring Europe for a year after college to write) and my four kids (preferably mostly girls) in Pennsylvania.
Hmmm...My parents are divorced, and I live with my mom. My dad lives like two miles away in the moldy house I spent 13 1/2 years growing up in, but I only see him like once every four months or so. I've got two older siblings: a sister and a brother. My sister's in the Army and she's got an adorable daughter, who is one and a half. My brother is really fun to be around, though I don't see him much these days because he lives in California. He loves space, and he makes telescopes and does cool experiments with his friends. I've got two best friends that I owe everything to. One of 'em always speaks her mind and gives great advice. She's pretty much a really awesome person, and she's involved in a ton of stuff at school, like me. My other best friend is also wonderful, and she's great to hang out with and talk to anytime. They're both seniors too, and they go to my church, so we pretty much grew up together, even though we weren't always exactly friends.
Aaand...interesting facts: I'm a HUGE procrastinator, and you can find me completely stressed out at any given moment during the school year. I've got a theory that I'm addicted to stress, which, if you know me, probably isn't really a theory as much as a fact. I'm in Mock Trial, which I love (again, the stress...and the adrenaline). I'm also in band, where I play French Horn. I really, really suck at French Horn, but I'm mostly in it for marching band these days anyway, though I certainly didn't always like marching. I'm also a soprano in chorus, and I love to sing, even though I don't think I'm very good at that either. I'm a major stickler about spelling and grammar, and I really wanted to be an English teacher until I took an AP class last year and realized that I really wouldn't be that good at it. My love for history stems from a visit to Washington DC last summer, where I was absolutely awed by all the history there. Hmm, what else? Oh, my femurs are titanium. Well, more like the bone marrow in my femurs is titanium. I broke them both in a car accident in February, and even though having two broken legs sounds horrible, it really changed my life for the better. I'm so in love with life now, and I try not to take any moment for granted. I'm a counselor at a church camp for one week every summer. It is always the best week of the year!!! I also love Nick Lachey and 98 degrees, and I think Patrick Dempsey is probably the hottest person alive.
But definitely enough about me! Go read my stories! And leave a review, please!! And also take a look at Allure000's work!
Oh, one more thing...I'd love to do some beta-ing. So if you need a beta, definitely let me know!
